Chapter 493: Chapter 224 The Choice of the 5th Profession (2 in 1 Big Chapter)_2

In such a situation, Rein hadn’t expected that there would still be an opportunity for his Sharpclaw Finger Tiger to come into play.

Now, the opponent’s body had over a hundred wounds, all oozing with fresh blood, which was equivalent to completely absorbing the excessively large dosage of paralyzing poison that Rein had smeared on his Sharpclaw Finger Tiger.

This amount of poison…

It was estimated that even a gigantic sea creature weighing several dozen tons would likely collapse!

At this moment, Rein’s high-level knight suit made of water membrane steel also had more than a dozen holes of various sizes.

“Whoosh!”

He tore off the water membrane steel breastplate, which had become riddled with holes, and Rein looked down to check his wounds.

As he had expected, although there were many wounds—about a dozen or so—the depths were all shallow.

This was due to the double defense provided by the water membrane steel plate armor and his talent ‘Junior Steel,’ which meant the opponent’s dagger had only penetrated one or two centimeters, just enough to draw Rein’s blood.

However, Rein acutely sensed a kind of weakness that comes from excessive loss of blood throughout his body.

He glanced at the opponent’s dagger, which was glowing intensely with blood-colored light, and knew that the problem must lie with the opponent’s dagger.

It appeared to have some special blood-draining effect.

Under Wexman’s gaze,

Rein stepped forward, pried open each of the opponent’s already stiff fingers one by one, and started toying with the two blood-color daggers in his hands.

He swung them casually a few times and found they felt quite smooth in his hand!

Soon, Rein realized that this was because of his Weapon Master exclusive talent ‘Junior Mastery,’ giving him a natural level 1 proficiency effect with daggers.

But how should he test the effect of these daggers?

Rein looked around, his face showing thoughtfulness, and quickly came up with an idea.

He crouched down and, facing the enemy who was powerless to resist in a paralyzed state, swiftly stabbed him a few times with a “swish swish.”

Immediately, a faint warm current flowed from the blood-color dagger into his palm, which slightly invigorated his spirit.

This immediately made Rein’s eyebrows perk up with surprise!

It turned out that these blood-color daggers not only had a blood-draining effect but could also nourish the user with some sort of special substance.

Meanwhile, Wexman, with his eyes wide open, watched as Rein stabbed himself with his own daggers, and although he was completely paralyzed at the moment, the frustration and agony were indescribably intense!

Nehru! Damn it! You’ve screwed me over!

But the next second, Wexman’s eyes suddenly showed terror.

Because he saw the young man opposite him sever all the tendons in his hands and feet with a few “swish swish” motions using his dagger.

Initially, Rein, out of concern for safety, had intended to slit the opponent’s throat directly.

But after thinking it over, considering there were two members of the Empire’s Fish-Dragon Squad with him, perhaps they had better ways to exploit the value of the opponent while ensuring he didn’t cause any trouble.

In that case, perhaps he could gain something beneficial from the side of the Empire’s navy.

At this time, Trevo, Nathaniel, and Vinica rushed in from outside the administrative hall with anxious expressions, and upon seeing the sight in the backyard, they instantly froze.

They saw the backyard ground crisscrossed with gullies and full of potholes, looking utterly devastated. Only broken branches and remnants of neatly trimmed plants and flowers remained!

The group exchanged shocked glances, looking from Rein to the motionless, wounded, and oddly postured middle-aged man on the ground.

They immediately understood what had happened!

Rein had taken down the opponent, one-on-one.

Vinica, seeing the dozen or so red spots on Rein’s bare upper body, couldn’t help but cover her mouth with her hand, her beautiful eyes widening in a look that was both worried and admiring.

Without hesitation, Vinica quickly approached and said to Rein, “Lord Rein, your injuries need to be treated immediately.”

Trevo and Nathaniel exchanged a look and said, “Lord Rein, we are truly ashamed. You alone managed to capture the enemy’s leader, while the three of us failed to detain the third-level Wizard Apprentice outside.”

“Oh? There was only one Wizard Apprentice outside?”

“Yes, Lord Rein, a rather rare shadow-element third-level Wizard Apprentice. We are almost certain that person was the one controlling the storm crows for reconnaissance.”

“Yes, and it was a woman,” Nathaniel added.

Rein nodded and said, “You all worked hard. Lord Trevo, Lord Nathaniel, I wonder if you can extract some useful intelligence for the Empire’s navy from this guy?”

As they were talking, Major Mary and the Reiman brothers also arrived in the backyard. Looking at the ground that appeared to have been bombarded by a meteor shower, they showed expressions of astonishment.

Seeing that most were present, Rein briefly explained the situation of their encounter and his assessment of the enemy.

Hearing that the enemy likely had the strength of a Peak Knight, everyone looked at Rein with eyes full of alarm!

After contemplation, Major Mary said to Trevo and the others, “Lords, I believe the immediate priority is to contact the navy’s ‘Tide Walkers.’

“Based on the battle tonight, there is a high probability that the person before us is from the Federation navy. From what Lord Rein described, the enemy’s strength and status are comparable to Captain Baron.”

“Imagine, if such an important figure fell into our hands, how would the Federation react?”

At this point, Major Mary paused.

Light flashed in Trevo’s eyes as he said, “Major Mary, are you suggesting that the Federation navy would certainly organize a rescue mission?”
