Chapter 481: Chapter 221: Storm Crow (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_2

The effects wrought by the primal force paled in comparison to the ornate and dazzling silver glow of the “Sharpness Technique” of witchcraft.

At this moment, Rein placed the greatsword flat on the desk, folding his arms as he began to ponder.

By now, he had realized the differences in the application of the primal force infusion in comparison to the witchcraft “Sharpness Technique” when used on weapons.

Setting aside the question of power for the moment, even just in terms of duration, there was a fundamental difference between the two.

Once the output of primal force ceased, the enhancing effect on the greatsword would naturally dissipate instantly, but the Sharpness Technique’s effect lasted a full minute.

Thus, if an Archer were to use arrows, while primal force could also be used to enhance the metal arrowheads, the effect would vanish as soon as the arrows were shot and left the hand, as the primal force couldn’t be maintained.

But the Sharpness Technique was different; it could last a minute, making it far more applicable to arrows, throwing weapons, and similar situations than Rein’s current level of primal force enhancement.

Furthermore…

A thought suddenly struck Rein.

He grasped the greatsword again, first chanting and casting the “Sharpness Technique” of witchcraft; once the greatsword lit up with the rippling silver halo, Rein continued to infuse the greatsword with primal force.

On the surface of the blade, in addition to the layer looking like a silver membrane, another layer of faint fluorescence was now superimposed.

This made Rein nod to himself in approval. Indeed, it was possible to apply a double enhancement.

As for the effect?

Out of curiosity, Rein immediately swiped the greatsword, now enhanced with both the “Sharpness Technique” and the Great Knight’s primal force, across a steel shield. Instantly, he felt a sensation similar to cutting through butter transfer from the hilt.

Hiss!

It was incredibly sharp!

Gazing at the smooth cut as if made by a cutter, Rein’s pupils constricted. He knew he hadn’t used much strength, but the result was far beyond his expectation.

This made him stand in place, his thoughts flickering as he pondered.

After a while, a knock on the door was heard.

“Come in!”

There stood Trevo at the doorway, smiling as he spoke, “Lord Rein, are we ready to start learning the Sharpness Technique now?”

“Based on the difficulty of learning the Sharpness Technique, I’ve tentatively planned for ten days of progressive learning and practice, each session lasting about two hours,” he continued.

“Of course, Lord Rein, if you encounter any problems during this period, we can extend the number of teaching days,” Trevo added.

“I think I’ll be in Fishing Port Town for the coming period,” he concluded.

Rein was slightly startled by Trevo’s words.

Although Trevo spoke politely, saying that the training could be extended if ten days weren’t enough, the problem was, Rein had already mastered the Sharpness Technique.

As soon as he successfully cast it once, the system would prompt him, and he would naturally master the witchcraft.

This presented a bit of a conundrum for Rein.

What was beneficial to others was simply a waste of time for him.

Of course, he could choose to hide this fact and slowly learn the Sharpness Technique with Trevo, but there was a saying, ‘wasting time is wasting life.’

At that moment, Rein inadvertently noticed the brown greatbow Trevo carried on his back and had an idea.

Rein smiled and said, “Thank you, Lord Trevo. However, I would prefer if you could teach me the Sharpness Technique in conjunction with archery.”

“In our previous battle, the arrows embellished with the ‘Sharpness Technique’ you used left a deep impression on me.”

Rein’s words hit the mark with Trevo.

After all, no marksman would refuse praise for their archery skills.

Trevo’s already smiling face bloomed like a chrysanthemum, and he readily agreed, “Of course, Lord Rein.”

Soon after, the two arrived in the training room, where Trevo began to demonstrate the casting of witchcraft “Sharpness Technique” while holding and notching an arrow.

Although Trevo found it strange that the questions Rein asked were mostly about archery rather than the “Sharpness Technique,” he still answered them readily.

Another half an hour passed…

Even the slow-witted Trevo started to feel that Rein seemed more interested in his archery skills than the witchcraft, so he finally realized what Rein’s main goal was—to learn how to improve his archery.

After a moment of hesitation, Trevo seriously said, “Lord Rein, it’s clear that you are very interested in archery. In that case, in the next few days, perhaps I could teach you some training methods.”

“These methods are applicable regardless of which type of Extraordinary Battle Technique for archery you intend to practice.”

Rein smiled and nodded at once, saying, “Lord Trevo, that would be excellent.”

“Lord Rein, what do you think is the most important aspect for an Archer to hit a moving target?” Trevo asked seriously.

When it came to archery, Trevo became much more earnest.

His question caused Rein to fall into contemplation.

Clearly, the answer wouldn’t be attributes related to physical qualities like strength or agility. Could it be eyesight?

After a brief reflection, Rein shook his head slightly.

Although keen vision helped in identifying distant targets, if the target was moving, merely seeing it clearly was obviously not sufficient.

All of a sudden, a term sprang to Rein’s mind.
