Chapter 463: Chapter 216: Witchery Curses Master (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

After all, fighting sea beasts in the ocean puts us at a disadvantage.

“Very well, Lord Reine.”

At that moment, Vinica began chanting a witchcraft spell.

Suddenly, Reine felt a massive amount of water energy particles gathering under his feet, giving him a sensation of being buoyed up.

“Lord Reine, I have cast the witchcraft ‘Water Walking,’ which is enough to support your weight on the surface of the sea for approximately half an hour,” Vinica said.

This news brought a smile to Reine’s face.

He had been planning to lure his opponent to the nearby reefs for the fight, but now it seemed unnecessary; he now had far more options for the battleground.

Then Vinica continued to caution him, “Just one more thing, Lord Reine. Should you cast any witchcraft, you must be careful.”

“It’s best not to interfere with the area beneath your feet, otherwise the witchcraft ‘Water Walking’ I have cast on you may be nullified or become unstable.”

Reine nodded upon hearing Vinica’s reminder.

He understood this point clearly.

In simple terms, it meant he could not cast the witchcraft ‘High-Temperature Force Field’ during the fight, since it would cover the area under his feet and affect the stability of ‘Water Walking,’ but he could cast ‘Scorching Touch’ or ‘Blazing Light.’

Then, a pale blue witchcraft light flashed by.

In an instant, a thin layer of water membrane formed around Reine’s body, a water-based witchcraft technique he was quite familiar with—the ‘Water Membrane Technique,’ which offered a certain level of defensive power.

“Thank you, Miss Vinica. From here on out, leave it to me,” Reine said with a nod, giving Vinica a slight smile.

“Lord Reine, please be safe. If things get too difficult, I have an official Sorcery Scroll given to me by my mentor.”

“Understood.”

Reine didn’t say much more and stepped toward the ship’s rail, then stood firmly on the surface of the sea.

…

The members of the Eagle Federation, of course, also noticed the appearance of Reine and Vinica.

A man in a black robe glanced at the two of them and murmured, “Is this the local defensive force of the Dragan Empire? A third-level Wizard Apprentice and a knight, no, perhaps a Great Knight?”

“Hoffman, you take care of these two destabilizing factors,” he ordered.

“As you command, Lord Nehru.” The Great Knight, armed with a sword and shield, quickly steered his spineback sea serpent towards Reine at high speed.

The man named Nehru, robed in black, had an energy fluctuation that obviously surpassed that of a third-level Wizard Apprentice. His gaze, however, remained fixed on Baron, who was engaged in rapid combat.

As the third-ranked member of the ‘Leviathan’ squad, he was the first to arrive upon receiving the information from the Federation navy, as he was collecting materials nearby.

He had just arrived when he discovered the trail of the Dragan Empire’s combat team and so the battle had suddenly erupted.

The opposing team’s captain was a Peak Knight, who turned out to be quite a handful after being enhanced by the other team members’ boosting witchcraft.

Even Nehru had to exert quite some effort to suppress him.

Nehru, holding a blade that emitted a faint black glow, the ‘Curse Blade,’ couldn’t help but feel a bit of pride. If it weren’t for his particular advantage against the opposing Peak Knight, the other members of the ‘Leviathan’ squad might not have been able to take them down.

Just before, he had used this ‘Curse Blade’ to cast three curses on his opponent: ‘Weakness Curse,’ ‘Pain Curse,’ and ‘Coldheart Curse.’

The opponent’s strength could no longer be wielded normally.

Now, the scales of victory had tipped in his favor, and in a few more minutes, the opponent’s endurance would gradually be exhausted.

Nehru observed for a while, then shifted his gaze to the distant figures of Rein and Vinica.

With a faint incantation, Nehru made two light cuts on his own fingers with the dark-glowing dagger in his hand, drawing forth a deep red blood. In an instant, a strange fluctuation assaulted the distant Vinica.

And a second later, another inexplicable wave struck Rein!

After completing his spell, Nehru’s face paled slightly, but a smile crept across his lips.

With this, Hoffman should be able to deal with the opponent with ease.

The element of instability was about to be eliminated!

Suddenly, Vinica, who stood next to Rein, clutched at her chest, her face changing dramatically as she said:

“Lord Rein, I think I am affected by a Pain Curse! You must be careful, that black-robed man seems to be a Witchery Curses Master…”

Pain Curse?

Witchery Curses Master?

Rein’s thoughts involuntarily drifted to Adams, the third-level Wizard Apprentice he had once killed. His methods were also quite bizarre.

Of course, the one at present was a formal wizard, much stronger by comparison.

But in this moment, Rein felt no fear; his own strength had also increased significantly since then.

It was just that after hearing that the opponent was a Witchery Curses Master, a sense of caution arose within Rein’s heart.

But in the next second, Rein felt a sharp increase in negative energy surrounding him; it invaded his body in a flash.

“This effect… Is this… a Weakness Curse?”

Rein immediately realized what it was, having experienced this sorcery not long ago.

However, compared to the Weakness Curse cast by Nathaniel, this one was far more potent.

If he didn’t dispel it swiftly, his combat effectiveness, as a Great Knight, would be reduced under the curse to that of a Peak Knight at best.

This was a battle of life and death, not a competition, so without hesitation, Rein added an attribute point to his Spirit.

With his remaining attribute points dropping from 6 to 5, and Spirit increasing from 31 to 32 points, a warm flow surged powerfully from his heart and quickly spread throughout his body.

In an instant, the feeling of weakness throughout Rein’s body was swept clean away!

Good! A faint smile appeared on Rein’s face.

The increase in points led to recovery; it was still effective!

At that moment, the Great Knight named Hoffman, controlling a spined sea serpent, also bore a smile as he charged toward the small boat where Rein was located.

Because just then, he had sensed that the two enemies had been cursed by Lord Nehru.

This kind of situation had occurred many times in previous battles.

Therefore, there wasn’t much suspense left in the upcoming fight.

In his view, those two enemies were now no different from lambs to the slaughter!
