Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 263: Chapter 203: Isaac: In Such a Large Sect, Isn’t There a Single Wizard Who Dares to Challenge a True God?

Moreover, once a bloodline began to evolve, it couldn’t be stopped!

This meant that if one wasn’t prepared, that Magic Spell would become a death warrant!

So, while he was full of anticipation, he had never actively asked his master to cast the spell on him, nor had the thought ever crossed his mind. He believed his master hadn’t forgotten about him; the only reason it hadn’t been brought up was that the time wasn’t right!

And now, it was clear his master believed the time had come!

After giving some instructions to the visibly excited Saint Master, Isaac turned and returned to his laboratory. At the same time, he instructed Liu Li to start gathering materials that could support the Dragon Blood Purification. He planned to concoct some Magic Potions for the Saint Master and, while he was at it, prepare a batch for Smith as well.

He had been worrying about how to get Smith promoted to Tier Three, but the situation with the Saint Master reminded him that he possessed a High-level Curse capable of purifying bloodlines. Like the Saint Master, Smith also possessed the blood of a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon—and in terms of purity, his was even higher.

In that case, the promotion process would be much simpler. As long as he cast the spell on them a few times, their bloodline level would rise, making breakthroughs naturally easier.

However, this was limited to Tier Three. Advancing further couldn’t be achieved by relying on bloodline alone. Or rather, Isaac didn’t have enough resources to continue boosting their bloodline purity.

This also made Isaac realize it was time to take stock of his own powers. If not for the Saint Master, he probably wouldn’t have even remembered he had such a High-level Curse.

It couldn’t be helped; he had a few too many ways of acquiring power. He could obtain it from Outer Gods, master it through his own studies, acquire it through modification surgery, and finally, even draw power from Faith using the three fundamental Magic Books of a Legendary Mage. What he had learned was, indeed, a bit of a chaotic mess...

”Ugh... what a pain!”

Isaac sighed, walked over to his desk, and sat down. He casually pulled over a sheet of parchment and began writing on it, line by line, pausing from time to time to think. It was a difficult task. Not only were there too many abilities, but some had already integrated into a single whole.

For example, the Flesh Nest, a form of Magic from the Master of Billions of Flesh, had now fused with his Dimension World as it grew.

At this point, Isaac also realized that for the development of his Dimension World, he should probably try to seize the Dimensions of other Dimensional Demon Gods. He couldn’t just keep exploiting a single god like the Master of Billions of Flesh.

The reason, naturally, was the same as for a Secret Mage: if he delved too deeply into the power of a single Dimensional Demon God, he might face a stronger backlash. In the end, he could even risk doing all the work just to pave the way for the Master of Billions of Flesh!

If it really came to that, it would be a complete joke.

Although power seized through a transaction ritual would normally have no further connection to that Deity, and was also safeguarded by the Gate of Legends—a point proven throughout the long history of Mad Witches—so theoretically, there was no need to worry.

But, as a great man from Isaac’s past life once said, ”Science does not believe in authority; science only believes in truth!”

So, at least on this matter, taking precautions couldn’t hurt.

Besides, constantly exploiting a single god was just too pitiful.

Furthermore, the Master of Billions of Flesh didn’t just have a Dimension World; He had plenty of other good things. It would be a waste not to take advantage of the fact that His sacrificial offerings were easy to collect!

After leaning over his desk in thought for a while, Isaac successfully wrote out all the abilities he possessed. It filled a whole... half-sheet of parchment...

’Hmm, there were far fewer than I’d imagined.’

After roughly organizing his current abilities, Isaac had some new ideas for his future development. However, the most pressing issue was to first deal with his Magic Book.

Now that the second stage of the modification surgery was complete, he could officially start writing in his second Magic Book.

Of the three Magic Books for the Grand Wizard stage, one was already inscribed with ”Snow White.” That left Self-Legend and Knowledge of the Outer Gods. It didn’t matter which of the two came first.

However, Isaac was leaning toward Self-Legend. For one, it was the most convenient option. Besides, the events he’d set in motion in Itra should have fermented long enough by now, spreading far and wide. It was the perfect time to act!

Leaning over the desk, Isaac spread open the Magic Book. He pretended to meditate for a moment before quickly picking up his quill, furiously scrawling one deep and terrifying character after another onto the pages.

Isaac wrote very quickly, because he was actually... copying.

That’s right. Although it was a Self-Legend, it still wasn’t written by Isaac himself. It couldn’t be helped. In the eyes of the world, his story was quite exciting and thrilling, but this was ultimately meant to be read by others. The author’s writing style would directly determine how captivating the story was!

This was different from those fairy tales that not only had an outline but also numerous adaptations to fill in the details. There were many parts Isaac would have had to fill in himself.

Fortunately, Caesar had already considered this. He had specifically assigned intelligence agents from his territory to secretly follow Isaac and record his words and actions. Then, he handed the collected information to a famous author who specialized in writing autobiographies for Legendary Mages. The author gave it a ”slight” polish before it was finally delivered into Isaac’s hands.

That was why Isaac was now writing so furiously, his quill flying across the page as if guided by a divine hand!

Soon, Isaac finished copying... no, writing... the latest autobiography into his Magic Book. After performing a simple anchoring ritual, this step was officially complete. ℯℯ𝘭.

This also meant that he could now proceed with the third stage of the modification surgery!

Actually, before starting the third stage of the modification surgery, Isaac’s original plan was to first get his research project on stealing the Divine Power of the God of Credit approved. At the very least, he wanted to get the research materials into the approval pipeline. That way, once he completed all his rituals and officially advanced to High-level Mage, he could start working on the project immediately.

Unfortunately, his ideals were grand, but reality was grim.

Even with the Dimension Fruit to pave the way, progress on this matter was incredibly slow. Isaac had overestimated the courage of the Sect’s Mages. The moment they heard he wanted to steal the Divine Power of a True God, they rejected him outright without even asking which one...

As a result, he still hadn’t even been able to use his Dimension Fruit...

And without the joint endorsement of other High-level Mages, he couldn’t get such a major project approved on his own. Even though his authority within the Sect had increased considerably, there were some rules he still couldn’t break.

So now, he could only continue researching the third stage of the modification surgery while still trying to recruit people. If he really couldn’t find anyone, he would have no choice but to wait until he advanced to Tier Three to apply again.

It was his only option. After all, this was a True God. To be honest, Isaac was also quite cowardly; without the Sect backing him, he wouldn’t dare to openly research such a blasphemous subject.

The first stage of the modification involved mostly external limbs, and the second stage involved some of the body’s systems. This third stage, however, would address the true interior of the body—the internal organs!
