Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 262: Chapter 203: Isaac: In a sect so large, isn’t there even one wizard who dares to stand up to a True God?

INHALE!!!!

EXHALE~~~~~

With each deep, muffled breath from the Saint Master, the essence of the Purgatory Demon God’s Authority within the Magic Power entering its body was absorbed at an incredible speed. As for the other useless, or even harmful, parts, the Saint Master expelled them.

At the same time, the ritual’s power was also cleansing Isaac’s body and mind, combining with his three Tier Two modified limbs to accelerate his soul’s sublimation.

The Devouring Ritual proceeded with incredible smoothness, encountering no resistance whatsoever. This was because, until now, no Secret Mage had ever managed to ”swallow the sugar-coating and spit back the cannonball,” so They were not as wary of this as They were of dealing with a Mad Witch.

Furthermore, the base level of power for a Dimensional Demon God is immense. They hardly notice the ”death by a thousand cuts” style of the Devouring Ritual and naturally wouldn’t react to it.

Despite this, Isaac decisively stopped when the margin for error had dwindled to just five hundred percent. Not getting greedy was always his most fundamental rule when dealing with Outer Gods!

Besides, this amount was already enough. If it kept devouring, the Saint Master might not be able to digest it all.

Even for the Saint Master, who possessed the power of the White Whale, it wasn’t a matter of ”the more, the better” when it came to the power of Dimensional Demon Gods.

Of course, that wasn’t entirely accurate. More was indeed better, but that ”more” should be in variety, not in draining a single Demon God dry. Casting a wider net was safer.

Firstly, with more targets, he could take just a little from each. Given the vast base power of the Dimensional Demon Gods, it would be a mere drop in the ocean, provoking no reaction. Secondly, more targets made it easier to maintain a balance between them, preventing him from falling under the control of any single Demon God.

This was what they called ”using demons to govern demons”!

After the ritual ended, Isaac first closed his eyes and meditated for a moment to check his own condition. Only then did he look at the Saint Master, who was still standing in the middle of the ritual circle with its eyes closed.

Just as Isaac looked over, the Saint Master happened to open its eyes. Isaac took the opportunity to ask, ”How do you feel? How far are you from Tier Three?”

That was right. Although the Devouring Ritual had been a success and the Saint Master’s power had increased significantly, it hadn’t broken through to Tier Three as Isaac had initially guessed. It was still Tier Two.

Considering the process of the Devouring Ritual, Isaac speculated that this was because it had absorbed too little Dimensional Power. Although he had stopped at the five hundred percent mark, the Devouring Ritual was different from his Pickup Ceremony.

The Pickup Ceremony took whatever it could get, not picky in the slightest. Its main principle was ”grab it before it’s gone!”

But the Devouring Ritual was different. The Saint Master only devoured the essence within the Dimensional Magic Power, expelling all the other substances that carried the Dimensional Demon God’s mark or were highly contaminated.

This meant that while the consumption was about the same, the gains from a single Devouring Ritual weren’t even enough for the Saint Master to condense one Authority, not even the weakest kind.

However, it wasn’t a major issue; it just meant performing the ritual a few more times. The Devouring Ritual was only a bit complicated to set up, but in reality, it was far less dangerous than the Pickup Ceremony.

Of course, to Isaac, both were the same. As long as he was cautious and not greedy, neither ritual posed much danger. If once wasn’t enough, he would just do it a few more times.

Therefore, while Isaac was a little disappointed that the Saint Master hadn’t successfully broken through to Tier Three, he wasn’t too upset.

Hearing Isaac’s question, the Saint Master closed its eyes and thought for a moment before saying, ”I will need at least two more Devouring Rituals to advance. In other words, I need Dimensional Magic Power from at least three different sources to begin constructing an Authority.”

Isaac raised an eyebrow, noticing the key point in the Saint Master’s words.

First it said it needed two more rituals to advance, but then it changed to ”begin constructing an Authority.”

One had to understand, regardless of the path or race, only those who possessed an Authority were considered Tier Three. Merely being in the process of constructing an Authority didn’t count.

Of course, Isaac didn’t think the Saint Master would make such a basic cognitive error. This could only mean that the Saint Master was extremely confident about constructing its Authority—so confident that it believed it could advance immediately upon obtaining the power of the Dimensional Demon Gods!

But after a moment’s thought, it dawned on Isaac. Although the Saint Master was currently the weakest of his Creations—it couldn’t even beat Shushu now—it possessed a Giant Dragon Bloodline. A Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, at that!

Or at least, it was evolving toward a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon. With such a noble lineage, advancing to Tier Three would naturally pose little difficulty.

Therefore, Isaac stroked his chin in thought before saying to the Saint Master, ”How about this: don’t be in a hurry to advance. First, focus on devouring as much power from the Dimensional Demon Gods as you can. Before you advance, we’ll enhance your Giant Dragon Bloodline first.”

At these words, the Saint Master’s eyes lit up. If anyone else had said this, the Saint Master wouldn’t have paid them any mind. If purifying a Giant Dragon Bloodline were that easy, the world would have long been ruled by Dragons.

But if it was the master saying it, that was a different story! 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

The Saint Master knew that its master possessed a High-level Curse that could accelerate bloodline purification. Furthermore, he could use a miraculous method to multiply the power of that High-level Curse several times over!

Therefore, it had been coveting that Magic Spell for a long time. But despite its desire, it was also aware of the spell’s dangers. When a bloodline is purified at high speed, it requires a tremendous amount of energy to support it—and the higher the bloodline’s Level, the more energy is needed.
