Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 254: Chapter 199: Caesar VS Isaac! This Is Tier Two?

BZZZT—

SHRRRIP—

A Demon Eye blossomed in the center of his brow while a Demon Claw emerged from behind his head. A blood-red Hexagram Magic Array unfurled behind him, causing Isaac’s Magic Power to surge wildly!

FLUTTER—

At the same time, a Magic Book floated out from the palm of the Demon Claw, its pages flipping rapidly—it was none other than the recently forged Book of Privileges.

Seeing this, Caesar’s brow furrowed tightly, a grave expression forming on his face. He knew that this Isaac, right now, was incredibly strong.

Gaia and Cheryl immediately flew away from Caesar’s side. After Isaac unleashed so many of his trump cards at once, they realized that everything he had said was true.

Though shocked by Isaac’s progress, they knew this was no time to stand around gawking. Besides, they were also intensely curious to see just how powerful Caesar, who now possessed a Dual Authority, truly was.

In a place like the Solomon Border, there were simply no opponents who could force Caesar to use his full strength—aside from Gaia and Cheryl. But they were his family; even in a real spar, Caesar would never go all out against them.

CLICK—

Gazing at Isaac, Caesar’s expression grew serious. The Knight’s Longsword at his waist slid out a fraction of an inch, and instantly, an endless torrent of lightning surged toward Isaac!

”Privilege: Desperate Rabbit!”

BZZT!

To the astonishment of the three onlookers, the raging Thunder Sword Light halted just 0.1 centimeters from Isaac. No matter how the Thunderbolt and Sword Light surged, that minuscule gap was like an impassable heavenly chasm, forever impossible to cross!

News of Isaac’s battle with King Yitla had long since reached them, so they already knew he possessed a powerful and bizarre form of Defense Magic. That was why Cheryl had given him the information and forging method for the Book of Privileges in the first place.

But...

”Do you understand what’s happening?” Gaia, watching from the side, narrowed his eyes and asked Cheryl.

”A little,” Cheryl said, her expression serious. ”It should be a Privilege Magic related to distance or Space, and he’s developed it to an incredibly profound degree! In the realm of Privilege Magic, I doubt there are many High-level Mages stronger than him!”

”You’re sure he developed it himself?” Gaia asked, turning to Cheryl in surprise.

”I’m sure. While Privilege Magic can also be granted by a Deity, that method is tantamount to drinking poison to quench thirst. No Wizard would ever choose that path, not even a Mad Witch!” Cheryl’s gaze on Isaac was complicated. ”Which means Isaac’s talent is truly astonishing! If only he also had a talent for Magic Power...”

At these words, Gaia fell silent. Ever since Isaac became a Mad Witch, the same thought had crossed his mind more than once: ’If Isaac had a talent for Magic Power, perhaps he never would have walked this path...’

Unfortunately, life has no what-ifs.

「Elsewhere...」

”Big Brother, stop testing the waters. If you don’t get serious, you won’t even be able to touch me.”

”Privilege: Electromagnetic Flow!”

BZZZT—

In a flash of electricity, Isaac vanished from Caesar’s sight. At the same instant, a sudden sense of danger flared within Caesar!

Just then, Isaac’s figure materialized behind Caesar, his index finger already shimmering with the light of Magic Power!

”Magic Beam·Extreme!”

”Armor of the Thunder God!”

A liquid-like plasma erupted from Caesar’s body, rapidly solidifying into a magnificent suit of full-body armor that encased him completely.

BZZT!

The Thunder Armor granted Caesar unparalleled speed and defense. As a result, although Isaac’s Magic Beam·Extreme—condensed several times faster than normal—struck Caesar before he could dodge, it failed to cause any damage.

Caesar’s reaction was worthy of his title as a High-level Knight. Realizing he couldn’t dodge the Magic Beam, he decisively chose to take the hit. Simultaneously, the Longsword at his waist shot from its sheath, wreathed in lightning as it slashed toward Isaac!

Thus, at the very moment Isaac’s Magic Beam struck Caesar, his Longsword arrived at Isaac’s neck.

However, before Caesar could pull back, he discovered his Longsword could get no closer to Isaac. Just like the Thunderbolt from before, it had been brought to a dead halt!

Just as they had guessed, Isaac’s Defense Magic was a persistent Status Magic.

BZZZT—

The moment Desperate Rabbit stopped Caesar’s Longsword, Isaac transformed into a flash of lightning and vanished.

This time, however, he didn’t get far before he was forced to reappear.

Caesar had broken his Electromagnetic Flow!

One of Caesar’s Authorities was the Elemental-class Thunderbolt. If Isaac had been using an Authority Magic based on the Authority of Electromagnetic Force, Caesar’s own Authority would not have been able to affect him. Unfortunately, Isaac was only using Privilege Magic, and its elemental aspects still fell under the dominion of Thunderbolt.

This was also a testament to how far Caesar had developed his Thunderbolt Authority. Otherwise, such a minor conceptual link wouldn’t have been enough to break Isaac’s Privilege Magic.

”Thousand Shadows Thunder Sword!”

Caesar swung his Longsword, unleashing a tide of Thunder Sword Qi that surged toward Isaac, only to be completely intercepted by Desperate Rabbit. He didn’t stop his assault there. On the contrary, even more lightning erupted from his Thunder Armor and coiled around his Longsword. Like a thunder dragon, he lunged to strike Isaac down!
