Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 259: Chapter 201: Isaac: My Dear Friend Avin Kreman, Are You Okay?

This situation worsened the closer it got to the present day.

Therefore, the truly powerful Necromancy Magic was precisely the extremely ancient kind. In that era, Necromancers faced few restrictions—in fact, one could say they had none at all!

The Magic they developed under such unrestricted conditions was naturally immensely powerful.

Of course, learning it was also extremely difficult.

For example, the Necromancy Magic recorded in the ”Book of the Dead” was divided into three systems. The first was the Skeleton System, which used bones as Casting materials to construct a series of Skeleton Magic. The second was the Corpse System, which used corpses as Casting materials to create various Undead Creatures. The third was the Ghost System, which used the souls of the dead as Casting materials to construct a series of Ghost Magic.

Among them, the Skeleton System and the Ghost System were relatively comprehensive. The domains they covered spanned nearly every application of conventional Magic in all combat scenarios. Even in the field of healing, a few select spells could shine with a unique brilliance.

Only the Corpse System was more singular. Aside from a few spells that attacked with the flesh and blood of corpses, most of the Necromancy Magic in this faction involved refining corpses into Undead to be commanded.

But regardless of the system, all truly powerful Necromancy Magic required a large number of corpses!

Or to be more precise, the dead!

Setting Skeleton Magic aside, Shushu already knew how to extract bone essence to strengthen existing skeletal creations. Both the Corpse and Ghost Systems had similar types of Necromancy Magic, all of which required a large number of corpses.

Of course, this was actually manageable, because it only required the dead, not necessarily humans. You could use goblins as a substitute, but the efficiency would be very low.

But some special Necromancy required human dead specifically!

For example, within the Ghost System, there was a Necromancy Magic that Isaac considered quite classic—Ghost Legion.

This Necromancy Magic was very similar to the classic Magical Treasure from Isaac’s previous life, the Ten Thousand Souls Banner. Both required a vast number of dead souls, and they had to be human souls!

This was because most humanoid Demons, like goblins, lacked souls. The few that did possess them had souls that were far too weak to be of any significant use. On the other hand, beings with powerful souls, such as Black Orcs or even other Demons, belonged to Exotic Races. Ghosts created from their souls were incredibly difficult to control; if used on a large scale, the caster would undoubtedly be the first to die.

However...

This wasn’t a major problem for Isaac, because Shushu wasn’t human to begin with!

It naturally didn’t need human dead, and Isaac himself had no intention of learning Necromancy Magic. The art had too many drawbacks and was too easily replaceable; it held no meaning for him.

So for Isaac, this whole thing was pure benefit!

Obviously, the Black Orc God would never have imagined that Isaac was obtaining Necromancy Magic not for himself, but for a mouse!

It could be said that Isaac had made a massive profit from this ritual!

Because besides the ”Book of the Dead,” the Necromancy Magic Knowledge Isaac had picked up from the Mysterious Void had very little overlap with the contents of the book!

The only drawback was that it was too fragmented, not systematic like the ”Book of the Dead.” There were only three complete Necromancy spells that could be learned, and they were particularly high-end. The rest could, at best, only serve as reference material for an in-depth study of Necromantic Knowledge.

But because the only three learnable Necromancy spells were extremely high-end and rare, it was still well worth the price!

Those three Necromancy spells were ”Three Methods for Creating a Litch,” the ”Necromancy Rebirth Technique,” and the ”Initial Concept of the Ascension of the Dead God.”

The first one needs no further explanation. The Litch. The original purpose for Wizards to research Necromancy Magic was to transform themselves into the Undead Creature known as a Litch, thereby retaining their Casting Ability while gaining eternal life.

However, subsequent experiments revealed that this method had a major flaw. Although it granted eternal life, the price was steep; most importantly, one would gradually lose oneself.

So, this path had been more or less abandoned. But what was abandoned was the Magic for transforming oneself into a Litch, not the Litch itself. As an Undead, it was still quite formidable.

The second one, the ”Necromancy Rebirth Technique,” was also extremely good. This spell didn’t turn oneself into an Undead; it was a spell cast *on* the Undead. After casting this spell, a slain Undead would be resurrected!

The Undead were already hard to kill, especially something like a Litch. Add the ”Necromancy Rebirth Technique” to the mix, and it was truly...

Disgustingly powerful!

This spell could definitely be considered a Core Magic of the Necromancy Faction.

The third one...

It sounded awesome, but in reality, it wasn’t *that* awesome. It couldn’t truly let an Undead become a God. Forget the Undead, even a Necromancer couldn’t achieve Ascension to Divinity with this spell.

This spell could only give an Undead or a Necromancer the *possibility* of obtaining Necromancy System Authority.

As for why it had that title...

It was the same old story: powerful Necromancy Magic was all ancient. In that era, a Tier Three being was no different from a Deity to most Transcendents. It was also around this time that High-level Mages began to be called Demigods.

Of course, that still didn’t diminish its importance.

However...

As good as these things were, it wasn’t time to hand them over to Shushu. It wasn’t that it lacked the ability, but that this knowledge came from an Evil God. For any other living being, a product that came directly from an Evil God was extremely dangerous!

So, Isaac needed to translate it first, and only then could it learn safely.

But with Isaac’s current abilities, it wouldn’t take much time. With the help of his Golden Finger, Isaac’s speed at learning new knowledge was already fast. Now, with the aid of [Analysis], his learning speed was simply inhuman!

In terms of pure learning ability, Isaac could proudly say that even a High-level Mage, as long as they didn’t possess the [Analysis] Authority, was no match for him!

Of course, this was limited to pure learning. Research was another matter, as it depended heavily on inspiration in addition to talent.

Thus, after just half a day, Isaac handed the translated ”Book of the Dead” to Shushu, letting it study on its own. His promise to it was now half-fulfilled.

The other half, naturally, was a dedicated laboratory.

But this was something Isaac couldn’t complete in the short term. Although his Mage Tower still had space, it was already reserved for the Wizard Organization he was preparing. Besides, it was practicing Necromancy Magic, something naturally shunned by the living.

It was impossible to set up a lab for it in his own Mage Tower.

Of course, Isaac had no intention of breaking his promise. When it came to Shushu, he always tried his best to satisfy its requests. Therefore, he had already designated a large area within his Dimension World for it to research Necromancy Magic and even assigned Dimension Apostles to build a laboratory.

It’s just that the progress was a little slow.

But it couldn’t be helped. With the completion of the transaction ritual with the Black Orc God, Isaac was now even busier.

This was because the ritual had another purpose besides gathering Necromancy Magic for Shushu—to integrate his own three major modification systems!

Previously, during the battle for the island, Isaac had learned from the Arcanist Avin that a Mad Witch could take an alternative path, substituting their own promotion ritual with a transaction ritual with an Outer God, thereby greatly increasing their promotion speed.

From that moment on, Isaac had taken it to heart. He had been researching it ever since he returned, and in the end, he did not disappoint his dear friend Avin’s expectations. He had succeeded!

From now on, he no longer needed to search all over for places to hold rituals like other Wizards. He could complete his promotions right at home!

So now he had another task, and a high-priority one at that—to complete his three subsequent body modifications!

This even took precedence over Liu Li’s and Saint Master’s promotion rituals. Since their rituals were also related to an Outer God, Isaac could ride their coattails for a bit!

Of course, before all that, there was one more important thing to do—report this good news to his dear friend Avin!

’I’m sure he’ll be very gratified to hear it!’

After all, for some time to come, the world would be short one Mad Witch running amok~

”My dearest friend, Avin Kreman, how have you been?...”
