Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 245: Chapter 194: The Advancing White Whale Avatar

Because he currently had several matters to attend to—the analysis and replication of Francis’s Life Derivation Technique, the Saint Master devouring the Dimensional Demon God Power, Liu Li’s Stealing God promotion ritual, exploiting a bug with the God of Credit, the White Whale Avatar’s plan to venture into the Deep Sea...

Each and every one of these was an urgent matter. None could be put off, and none were easy...

’Sigh... If only I had the Shadow Clone Technique...’ Isaac sighed again. It was impossible.

Isaac had this idea a long time ago. He’d even used his Golden Finger to aid his research for a time, but he came up with nothing. Afterward, every time he obtained related Knowledge or abilities, he studied the possibility again, but the final result was always the same—it was useless.

Even his White Whale Avatar, though called an avatar, was actually more like a Magic Pet. Most of the time, the White Whale Avatar was no different from a real white whale in terms of its thoughts or habits.

Only when Isaac focused his attention on the White Whale Avatar did it possess his will. But at that point, Isaac’s human body would become inactive...

So, it was impossible to multitask...

It seemed to be related to the world’s fundamental rules, but that was just Isaac’s speculation, and it had yet to be confirmed.

So, despite the difficult choice, Isaac ultimately decided what to do first—the plan for the White Whale Avatar to advance into the Deep Sea Area!

The other tasks all required Isaac to invest a great deal of energy, but his main body was currently fusing with the Demon Eye, making it unsuitable for any major undertakings. Therefore, this was the perfect time to free up his attention to deal with the White Whale Avatar.

Before that, however, he needed to craft a Book of Privileges for himself. Until he could successfully acquire the power of the God of Credit, he would have to make do with the Book of Privileges. After all, the item provided a tangible boost to his strength.

Moreover, while he was busy implanting the Demon Eye, Liu Li had been collecting the relevant materials. Although she couldn’t gather the absolute best materials for crafting, he currently lacked the ability to refine them anyway.

But he did have the ability and materials to craft a Low Level Book of Privileges. And despite it being merely a Low Level Book of Privileges, it could grant Isaac a loan quota of seven to ten Privilege Magics!

It might not sound like much, but Isaac’s current total quota for pre-storing and borrowing via his Privilege Casting Technique was only seven slots!

Furthermore, the slots from the Book of Privileges were all for the more flexible borrowing type, which would be a massive boost to his combat power.

Of course, the cost of repayment was also higher, but it was all worth it!

He rose and walked over to the Magic Cauldron. Though he knew Liu Li wouldn’t have made a mistake, Isaac still checked the materials out of habit before placing them into the Magic Cauldron one by one. Then, he raised a long ladle and simply stirred, and stirred, and stirred...

He would occasionally toss more materials into the dark green liquid in the Crucible, making its color rich and vibrant. Now and then, bubbles would burst, and multicolored gases would rise from within.

At times like this, Isaac would turn his head aside, careful to avoid the gases. Most of them were poisonous. Only a few were non-toxic or even beneficial, and Isaac bound these with his Magic Power, letting them linger and swirl above the Crucible.

After a good while, Isaac had tossed all the materials except for a blank Magic Book into the Magic Cauldron. Once their properties and the Concepts they contained had fully fused, he picked up the blank Magic Book from beside him. With a light gesture of his hand, the gases lingering above the Crucible immediately descended, winding tightly around the blank Magic Book.

Then, Isaac tossed the Magic Book into the Crucible. The boiling, multicolored liquid immediately formed a vortex around the Magic Book as the special Magic Power and Concepts within rapidly converged into the Book of Privileges.

’Hm?’ Suddenly, Isaac’s brow furrowed. He looked up at the sky in confusion, his eyes narrowing slightly before his expression relaxed.

Just a moment ago, he had sensed an immense power descend. It lasted only for an instant, not even long enough for a fleeting glimpse. He’d had his fair share of dealings with Deities—even if they were all Outer Gods, their essence was similar—so he knew he couldn’t have been mistaken.

Without a doubt, this immense power originated from the God of Credit, and its target was the very Book of Privileges Isaac was crafting.

This made Isaac think. He had originally assumed that the Book of Privileges was an authority the Arcanists from the Truth Association had forcibly wrested from the God of Credit. He found it a bit surprising, since they had always rejected violence, and this particular job seemed so crude.

But judging them by his own standards, Isaac hadn’t found anything particularly wrong with it before. If he had enough power and backing, he would definitely do the same thing.

However, from that brief surge of immense power, Isaac detected a slight anomaly. He hadn’t sensed even a hint of displeasure within it.

No matter how powerful Wizards were, and no matter how badly He had been beaten in the past, the God of Credit was still a God—and a True God at that, with a legal Church in the Real World. An Existence like that couldn’t possibly have zero feelings about this kind of blatant disrespect—it was like someone climbing on His head to take a dump.

’I might not be able to beat you, but that doesn’t stop me from defying you!’

Therefore, the attitude the God of Credit had just revealed was very important. It meant that the Book of Privileges was not, as the Truth Association’s report claimed, something that was first stolen and then forced upon the God of Credit for his consent. It was much more likely that the God of Credit had proposed the Concept himself, and the group of Arcanists from the Truth Association were the ones who brought it to fruition!

Reversing the sequence of events like that changed the meaning completely!

’It’s useless to think about it any more. Existences like Deities are still beyond my reach for now. I can’t figure it out, and even if I could, it would be pointless. My abilities are what they are.’

’If the sky falls, the tall ones will hold it up.’

After calming his thoughts, Isaac saw that the crafting of the Book of Privileges was complete. He reached out his hand, and the Magic Book, which had been bobbing in the liquid of the Magic Cauldron, immediately flew into his grasp, not a single drop of liquid on it.

’Ten slots...’ Feeling the power of the Book of Privileges, Isaac broke into a satisfied smile. Ten borrowing slots meant that this concoction was perfect. Although he had borrowed the power of his Golden Finger, Isaac was still very pleased.

After placing his Magic Mark on the Book of Privileges, Isaac put it away. Then, flickering shadows appeared in the Space behind him, like the maw of a giant beast, and swallowed him whole.

The next moment, Isaac appeared in his bedroom. He lay on the bed and closed his eyes. When he opened them again, his consciousness had descended into the body of the White Whale Avatar.

”Wooooo~”

In the deep waters near the island, Isaac curiously maneuvered the White Whale’s body. Although the White Whale Avatar had existed for some time, Isaac had never really acted through it before. Whenever his consciousness descended into the White Whale Avatar, his main body would shut down, which would seriously impede his Magic research.

At the same time, the White Whale Avatar’s greatest use to Isaac was simply to eat constantly, providing a negligible amount of nourishment to his Dimension World. So even when he took control, there wasn’t much for him to do.

Of course, this was only true in the Shallow Sea Area. Things would be different once it entered the Deep Sea Area. The depths were home to many Sea Beasts like the White Whale—large in size and rich in Magic Power, but not high in Level. Once it entered the Deep Sea Area, the White Whale Avatar’s feeding efficiency would increase dramatically.

But the Deep Sea Area was not so easy to enter. It had more resources, but by the same token, it also had more powerful Sea Beasts. A creature like the White Whale was only a top predator among Tier Two beings, but the Deep Sea was home to a fair number of Tier Three Sea Beasts.

So, to advance into the Deep Sea Area, Isaac had two options: either equip the White Whale with a bodyguard of at least Tier Three, or personally control the whale and find a relatively safe place for it.

The former was out of the question. A Tier Three bodyguard...

’I don’t even have one for myself!’

The latter option, however, was a different story. This world was not like Isaac’s previous one. Because individual power was so immense, the Deep Sea Area was not a forbidden zone for humans. Not only were there claimed territories, but there were even highly detailed nautical charts.

This time, using a nautical chart from the Flesh Sect, Isaac had chosen a good spot for the White Whale Avatar to use as a hunting ground.
