Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 232: Chapter 186: The First High-level Knight Killed

In the mysterious space outside the Kingdom, a group of Wizards stared at the scene on the light screen in the center, all falling silent.

On the screen, a towering Blue Divine General stood amidst the ruins of the Royal City, swinging its sharp blade and unleashing streams of azure Sword Qi. A tiny Wizard figure zipped around the Blue Divine General, occasionally transforming into a current of electricity to dodge the incoming Sword Qi.

At the same time, thick Magic Beams shot from his hands, striking the Blue Divine General. Each blast caused the Blue Divine General’s body to ripple, a sign that its Divine Form was on the verge of breaking apart.

Undoubtedly, the Blue Divine General and the Wizard on the screen were King Yitla and Isaac. Although Isaac had shielded his tracks on his way to the Royal City, this concealment only lasted until the battle began.

Once he started fighting King Yitla, the intense energy fluctuations were impossible to hide. And while the Barrier over the Itra Kingdom lacked a real-time monitoring function, there were four High-level Mages present—and all of them were elites among their rank. It was trivially easy for them to temporarily cast a spell to observe the situation.

And so, this led to the current scene, with everyone falling into a collective silence.

They didn’t even have time to wonder why Isaac had started a fight with King Yitla.

Because a Tier Two Grand Wizard was fighting a Tier Three High-level Knight and actually had the upper hand...

It was utterly mind-boggling!

True, this High-level Knight was a bit of a lightweight and had only recently advanced, but... wasn’t Isaac in the same boat?

Hadn’t Isaac also just advanced to Tier Two?

Forget the other Wizards; even Mensa was struck silent by the scene. He had already estimated Isaac’s power as generously as possible, but in the end, he realized he had still underestimated the young man.

From the start of the battle until now, Isaac had displayed three different Privilege Magics, all of them cast instantly. This proved he had mastered Privilege as a Casting Technique.

Of course, more importantly, aside from the one that controlled Gravity, the other two Privilege Magics Isaac had demonstrated were extraordinary, with immense potential.

’The Privilege Magic that turns him into an electric current probably imitates the [Electromagnetic Force]. According to the latest research from those scholars at the Truth Association, this Authority is very likely part of the world’s foundation and has enormous potential!’

’His other defensive Privilege Magic is also exceptional. It’s just a Privilege Magic, yet it can block King Yitla’s Authority. And most importantly, I can’t discern its origin!’

’To speak plainly, I’ve already reached the pinnacle of the path of a High-level Mage. If it weren’t for an unfinished research project, I could have advanced to a Tier Four Miracle Mage three years ago. So, for there to be a Privilege Magic whose origin even I can’t identify...’

’...its value must be incredibly high.’

If even he was this shocked, there was no need to mention the others.

Meanwhile, back in the ruins of the Royal City, Isaac reapplied Electromagnetic Flow and Desperate Rabbit to himself and continued to kite the Blue Divine General. He fired one thick Magic Cannon blast after another at the weak points or energy fulcrums on the Blue Divine General’s body, gradually wearing down the towering figure.

Inside the Energy Body, King Yitla’s expression was incredibly ugly. The initial humiliation of being provoked by a junior was gone, replaced now by a deep and growing despair.

He didn’t know if Isaac’s eye was just too good or if his own intelligence had been severely compromised. In any case, every one of Isaac’s Magic Cannon blasts struck a sensitive spot on his Energy Body—either a defensive weak point or a node for energy circulation. Because of this, each blast not only broke through his defenses but also continuously weakened his Divine Form.

At this point, his Divine Form didn’t have much time left!

But his attacks had yet to even touch Isaac!

That’s right, not once!

Isaac’s Displacement Magic was simply too fast. Even when the King used wide-area attacks that were impossible to dodge, they were completely blocked by that strange Force Field around the boy!

Even attacks unleashed with his Authority, [Ice Flame]!

The most terrifying part was that he, a dignified High-level Knight, couldn’t even think about escaping from a mere Tier Two Wizard!

That’s right, he couldn’t! ℴ

Because Isaac also had an incredibly powerful Gravity Magic. The moment he deactivated his Divine Form, he would truly become Isaac’s target practice. As for escaping in his Divine Form...

...that wasn’t realistic. The Divine Form was too large a target, and Isaac could transform into that special form of Electromagnetic Force that couldn’t be stopped by conventional means. Fleeing in his Divine Form would still make him Isaac’s target...

Of course, the most important thing was that he had already tried, and it was completely useless...

In contrast to the increasingly desperate King, Isaac was in much better spirits. For one, he had perfectly verified his theory: now that his Privilege Magic system was established, he had what it took to fight weaker High-level Knights!

He might even be able to take on a weaker High-level Mage!

After all, he still had an Immunity-type Privilege Magic he hadn’t used yet. This wasn’t even his full strength!

’On that note, I’ll have to ask Big Sis for a sparring match when I get back. She’s a newly promoted Grand Arcanist, so she falls squarely into the ”weaker High-level Mage” category.’

(Cheryl: Achoo!)

But aside from all that, Isaac’s biggest gain was with his Magic Cannon. After firing so many shots at the King, with the help of [Analysis], Isaac had once again optimized the Magic Cannon’s Technique to a certain extent. He increased its Magic Power efficiency and output, and as a bonus, he also lowered its learning difficulty.

From now on, Isaac’s Secret Mages would be able to master this simple and crude Secret Technique much faster. Of course, in exchange, the speed at which their bodies suffered from Erosion would also increase.

That was just the way it was for Secret Mages: the stronger the power, the faster the death.

’But that has nothing to do with me. It doesn’t affect me, anyway. Besides, my Secret Mages, unless I’m mistaken, are all former slaves. The freedom I’ve granted them is already a tremendous gift.’

’I won’t force them to use the Secret Techniques, either. I don’t have the energy to manage a team. Once they’ve learned, I’ll give those slaves their freedom, so the choice to use the Secret Techniques rests in their own hands.’

Returning to the matter at hand, Isaac narrowed his eyes as he watched the increasingly unstable Energy Body. He knew King Yitla was on his last legs. His Divine Form was about to end!

At this thought, Isaac continued firing Magic Cannons at the Energy Body while simultaneously forming a Heavy Pressure Hell in his hand. He had to ensure it would slam into King Yitla the instant the Divine Form deactivated, completely cutting off his escape!

Despite having the absolute advantage, Isaac’s mind grew increasingly calm. This was because the Heavy Pressure Hell was his last remaining use of Privilege Magic.

He could currently only use his Privileges a total of seven times. He had already used them six times since the battle began, leaving only this final one. So, even though he held the absolute upper hand and was on the verge of victory...

...Isaac knew that he was also out of tricks. If this next Heavy Pressure Hell missed, King Yitla would escape with his life!

And Philo’s plan would end in failure!

Therefore, Isaac even temporarily suspended his Analysis of the Divine Form to focus all his concentration on the battlefield!

A few moments passed...

BOOM!

As one of Isaac’s Magic Cannon blasts slammed viciously into another of the Energy Body’s nodes, the grueling battle reached its climax. The Divine Form was the camel, and this was the final straw that broke its back. It collapsed, scattering into a sky full of blue Ice Flames!

”You’re not getting away! Privilege·Heavy Pressure Hell·Full Power!”

The instant the Ice Flames burst apart, several blue figures shot out from within them, fleeing with extreme speed in all directions!

Unfortunately, Isaac was faster. He had also never stopped using his [Analysis] Authority, so King Yitla’s attempts to use decoys were ultimately futile. Isaac saw through to the King’s true body in a single glance and swiftly slammed down a full-power Heavy Pressure Hell!

Suddenly, a gravity like a mountain crashed down on the King, slamming him into the ground with a loud BOOM and carving out a massive crater!

Under this immense Gravity, even though he had already mobilized his Battle Qi to defend himself, it was not enough. After such a long and grueling battle, he had used nearly every technique at his disposal. He barely had any Battle Qi left.

Therefore, Isaac’s full-power Heavy Pressure Hell not only pinned him firmly to the ground, but the immense Gravity even tore his body apart!

Copious amounts of blood burst from his body, and in some places, stark white bone was visible!

ZZZT...

A current of electricity flickered above King Yitla, from which Isaac’s figure materialized. He wasted no time on words with the King. He pointed a finger, and a black flash of light condensed at its tip. It was a Magic Ball the size of a soybean, yet it radiated a Magic Power fluctuation even greater than a Magic Cannon’s.

This was one of the products of Isaac’s optimization of the Magic Cannon. It sacrificed the Magic Cannon’s powerful fortress-breaching ability in exchange for ultimate piercing power.

In most fights, this move wasn’t actually as useful as the Magic Cannon. Its piercing power was strong, but forget Tier Three—even Tier Two Transcendents had no shortage of recovery methods. Unless it hit a vital spot in one shot, they would recover in no time.

But this move was perfect for the current situation. King Yitla was pinned to the ground by Heavy Pressure Hell, unable to move, and had completely lost the ability to resist. Also, King Yitla’s corpse would be of some use to him, so it would be a shame to completely destroy it.

After all, besides being used to help Philo take over the Itra Kingdom, this was also the first High-level Knight Isaac had ever killed. It had great collection and research value.

Of course, mainly research value.

’I’m very curious. If Harmon were to devour his corpse, could I create a High-level Knight?’

’Unfortunately, although I’m curious and feel there’s a lot of potential here, the matter of eating people...’

’...is still somewhat difficult for me to accept. Still, even just dissecting it for research would be very valuable.’

”Goodbye~ Your Majesty, the King whose name I don’t know~”

*PFFT!*
