Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 231: Chapter 185: Fighting the High-level Knight! Shoot Him Full of Holes

Thus, compared to a purely singular Elemental Authority, the King’s Ice Flame was already considered quite impressive. This was a point of considerable pride for him. After all, it was well-established that among High-level Knights, only those who walked the Path of the Gods and absorbed the Power of Faith could awaken a Rule Authority.

For High-level Knights like him who walked the Path of the Demon Beasts by refining their bloodlines, the only options besides Elemental Authority were Support Authorities. However, not only were Support Authorities difficult to awaken, their contribution to combat power wasn’t immediately obvious, making them unpopular among Knights, even if they could raise a Knight’s ultimate potential.

However, the very Authority the King was so proud of was the source of Isaac’s confidence in daring to fight him!

Isaac’s Privileged Magic: Desperate Rabbit could not be broken by sheer Barbaric Strength—not even Barbaric Strength born from an Authority!

BOOM!

An ice-blue flame ignited on the King’s Longsword, intensifying the power of his strike!

However, the distance between the tip of the sword and Isaac did not change in the slightest...

Not even a single wisp of the Ice Flame broke through...

Faced with this bizarre scene, the King’s brow furrowed. But before he could even think of a solution, an immense gravitational force descended upon him.

”Privilege: Heavy Pressure Hell!”

Instantly, the King became a blue meteor and slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater!

CRACKLE...

From within the crater, the King, holding his sword with both hands, struggled to get up. He looked at Isaac in disbelief. ’Is this guy really just a Tier Two Grand Wizard?’

”Do you intend to break the pact?!”

”Heh...” Isaac chuckled softly. He didn’t speak, but responded with a brilliant Magic Cannon!

Normally, the idea of Isaac’s Magic Cannon hitting a High-level Knight was laughable. But with the King suppressed by Gravity, his movements were so hindered he couldn’t perform any agile maneuvers. Unable to dodge, he was caught directly in the line of fire.

However, while he couldn’t dodge, he could block. The King slashed out, and an ice-blue Sword Qi collided with the Magic Cannon in mid-air, erupting in a violent wave of energy.

Yet the King felt no joy in blocking the attack, because he had some intelligence on Isaac. Magic Cannons like this, which looked like they consumed a huge amount of power, were something Isaac could fire off casually.

But the same couldn’t be said for his Sword Qi!

At least, not right now!

Under the suppression of that powerful Gravity, even swinging his sword had become difficult. That single slash had consumed a great deal of his Battle Qi. More importantly, if he didn’t find a way to break free from this Gravity, he would have to constantly use Battle Qi to protect his internal organs!

That treacherous Wizard, on top of the immense Gravity, had even given ”special attention” to his internal organs!

And he had only focused on a few specific organs, which made protecting them even more difficult. He had two choices: either expend more mental energy to precisely regulate the Battle Qi in his body to perfectly protect each specific organ, or treat them all the same and flood his system with Battle Qi at maximum output!

Honestly, neither was a good option. One would consume a vast amount of mental energy, the other a vast amount of Battle Qi. That treacherous Wizard in the sky had mastered Privileged Magic and an exclusive casting technique for it. Before his Privileges were used up, he was no different from an ordinary High-level Mage.

But he had no choice. Although High-level Knights primarily focused on training their physical bodies, their internal organs...

Truth be told, they were difficult to train. Their durability definitely couldn’t compare to their muscles and bones; their very structure was different. While they were certainly many times stronger than an ordinary person’s, they still couldn’t withstand this level of Gravity.

’So, I have to use that?’ The King looked up at Isaac with great difficulty. As the thought flashed through his mind, he made his decision.

’So, he’s going to use it?’ Watching the King’s Battle Qi begin to swell below, the corners of Isaac’s mouth turned up slightly.

”Combat Skill: Divine Descent!”

With a low shout, the swelling Battle Qi began to collapse, condensing into a dazzling blue light. This brilliant light instantly nullified the immense Gravity pressing down on the King, liberating him in an instant!

Combat Skill: Divine Descent. It was a special Combat Technique that only High-level Knights could cultivate. By consuming a massive amount of Battle Qi to simulate the power of a Deity, it could purge all magical effects—even those originating from an Authority!

Cultivating this technique wasn’t particularly difficult, and it was widely known. After all, it was one of the cornerstones that allowed Knights to contend with Wizards, so naturally, it wasn’t kept a secret.

However, the move had an enormous cost and placed a great strain on the body. It required a period of rest after use; otherwise, even with a Knight’s robust physique, they would suffer severe damage.

Therefore, it could only be used once per battle.

This was also why Isaac hadn’t just thrown out all his Heavy Pressure Hell spells at once. He was worried the King would use Divine Descent to negate his Privileged Magic.

For Magic like Heavy Pressure Hell, Divine Descent could be considered an invincibility frame.

But it was fine now. Divine Descent had been used. Although Knights had other Combat Techniques to dispel magical effects or even grant temporary Immunity to all Magic, this King hadn’t mastered any of them.

This piece of intelligence came from Philo, and Isaac trusted it completely. It was, after all, from the Empire’s intelligence network—and a network under the direct control of the Royal Family, no less.

And so, the outcome was decided!

Of course, it would still take a little while, because...

WHOOSH!

A blue Divine General rose from the earth!

Divine Form!

Divine Form. An exclusive ability that any High-level Knight could master, regardless of their path. By consuming bloodline power or Divine Power, they could summon a massive Energy Body, greatly enhancing their defensive, offensive, and Magic Resistance capabilities. It was somewhat similar to a Susanoo.

The difference was, after activating Divine Form, the Knight could be inside or outside the Energy Body. From within, their personal defense would be raised to an extreme degree; as long as the Energy Body wasn’t destroyed, the Knight could not be harmed. If they were outside, they could launch attacks in tandem with the Energy Body.

The King’s Energy Body wasn’t particularly tall, just over ten meters. It wasn’t very solid either, appearing somewhat illusory. This indicated he hadn’t progressed very far down the path of a High-level Knight.

This was also one of the reasons he was using Divine Form instead of Demon Beast Form.

Although Divine Form could be used by High-level Knights of any path, it was most effective and least costly for those who walked the Path of the Gods. Since he walked the path of Melting Demon Bloodline, the Demon Beast Form was his true source of strength.

Unfortunately, he had not yet reached that stage.

So, he could only use Divine Form. And to defend against Isaac’s Heavy Pressure Hell, he chose to remain inside the Energy Body, since he had no other Combat Techniques to dispel magical effects.

SWISH SWISH SWISH!!

Although the Energy Body was massive, its movements were surprisingly agile. Wielding an oversized Longsword, it swung its blade and unleashed seven or eight colossal beams of Sword Qi. It then held its Longsword high, not letting it fall.

He was predicting Isaac’s movements.

”Privilege: Electromagnetic Flow!”

[Authority·Analysis]

Isaac became an Incarnation of Electromagnetic Force, dodging all the Sword Qi. He then applied all the residual Gravity from the previous Heavy Pressure Hell onto the Energy Body’s weak points to hasten its collapse, before once again transforming into Electromagnetic Force to evade the King’s attack.

Although a High-level Knight in Divine Form possessed nearly infinite Battle Qi and a long duration, it was, in the end, just an Energy Body, not a real physical one. Therefore, by specifically targeting and destroying its weak points, one could shorten the duration of the Divine Form, or even destroy the Energy Body outright!

And in the face of Isaac’s [Analysis], all weaknesses were laid bare!

After that, Isaac didn’t release any more Privileged Magic. After all, he could only pre-store three uses. The remaining four were ”borrowed,” so he had to use them sparingly. When it was time to ”repay” them, there would be interest—both the casting time and the Magic Power consumed would be higher.

The later the repayment, the more the interest increased. And until the debt was paid, he couldn’t borrow again.

After all, he was no longer an Outer God now, but a True God.

However, his two Privileged Magic spells, Electromagnetic Flow and Desperate Rabbit, still had a long duration. The King’s attacks were useless against Isaac, while Isaac, in turn, could continuously output damage with his Magic Cannons.

This was one of the costs of the King using Divine Form. Although his speed in this form was still agile, his body was simply too large. To Isaac, he was a complete sitting duck. So...

Time for some target practice!
