Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 233: Chapter 187: Stuffing the Master of Billions of Flesh Like a Cream Puff?

SQUELCH~

The brand-new version of the Magic Beam effortlessly pierced the head of the defenseless King of Itra, completely extinguishing his life.

PHEW~

After ending the King of Itra’s life, Isaac let out a long sigh of relief. Now, nothing stood in the way of their plan. With Philo’s massive military force, they could conquer the entire Itra Kingdom in a month at most.

This didn’t mean Philo could relax, however. With no enemies left within the Itra Kingdom’s borders, this unique War would soon be declared over. They had to gather more sacrifices and secure practical control over Itra before that happened.

But the latter was Philo’s task and had little to do with Isaac.

His primary mission was still to gather more sacrifices. Philo was also working on this, and thanks to the Barrier enveloping all of Itra, any person or Artificial Human who died within it would become one of Isaac’s sacrifices.

The King of Itra was an exception, of course. He was a fine research specimen for Isaac and could not be sacrificed to the Master of Billions of Flesh—at least, not right now.

In any case, he already had plenty of sacrifices. One more wouldn’t be missed.

After stowing the King of Itra’s corpse, Isaac paused for a moment before summoning a gale. Carried by the fierce winds, he flew rapidly toward the military camp.

The Itra Kingdom’s treasure for creating Artificial Humans was located there. Once he obtained it, Isaac could produce Artificial Humans himself, eliminating the need to engineer a stalemate just to acquire a steady supply, as they had previously planned.

Some things were better held in his own hands. ’Better for me to have it than someone else.’

Moreover, according to Philo’s intelligence, the treasure could produce them quickly, and Itra had plenty of materials prepared. The next step was a race against time!

In all likelihood, their objective had already been discovered by the group of Wizards monitoring the situation. Those Wizards would probably declare the end of the War very soon.

However, Isaac’s group hadn’t yet secured the Itra treasury, which held items that other powers desired. This meant there should still be some time to negotiate!

’Lord Mensa, you have to hold out for me!’

With that thought, Isaac picked up his pace, accelerating toward the military camp.

Meanwhile, just as Isaac had predicted, the moment he killed the King of Itra, the observers realized the true intentions of Isaac’s group—or more accurately, of the Terra Empire.

No one who becomes a Wizard is a fool. While high intelligence doesn’t guarantee high emotional intelligence, the political instincts of the leading High-level Mages were sharp. After all, anyone with poor judgment wouldn’t have been sent to handle this situation.

The shitty part was, even though they knew the Terra Empire’s intentions, they were powerless to act. Just as Isaac had thought, they had already made a deal with Mensa—and had even signed a contract.

Of course, they could end the War right now and intervene directly to carve up the Itra Kingdom. While that would feel like a loss, it was still better than letting the Terra Empire take everything for itself.

But...

Besides the Terra Empire, there was another factor they had to consider: Isaac.

Yes, this was something Isaac hadn’t anticipated. In truth, the one who would determine the timing for this War’s conclusion was Isaac himself.

Because during his recent battle with the King of Itra, Isaac had displayed terrifying potential. What was even more frightening was that he had also joined the Flesh Sect. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

This meant that unless an Evil God toyed with him to death during some future ritual, Isaac was guaranteed to become a formidable power!

The four High-level Mages present had no doubt about this.

Therefore, they would do Isaac a favor and give him enough time to collect his sacrifices. At the same time, this was also a show of deference to the Master of Billions of Flesh...

Indeed, the War had reached a point where they couldn’t simply call it off. They could distinctly feel that the Master of Billions of Flesh had been roused from Its slumber by Isaac’s ritual and had noticed the enormous number of sacrifices here.

Right now, Its gaze was fixed upon this place. If they dared to end the War prematurely, they couldn’t begin to imagine what the Master of Billions of Flesh, who was already cranky from being woken up, might do...

Of course, this was the mortal world. Even a Dimensional Demon God’s power was severely limited here. It wasn’t impossible to repel the Master of Billions of Flesh, but it would come at a price.

However...

Why should they be the ones to pay it?

Wouldn’t it be simpler to just give Isaac a little time to finish collecting his sacrifices?

They had already lost so much; they didn’t mind losing a little more.

Yes, they didn’t mind one bit!

The other three High-level Mages watched Isaac’s movements on the light screen with grim expressions, shooting occasional glares at Mensa.

Compared to the other three, however, Mensa was in a much better mood. Isaac and his allies had performed exceptionally. Even if the War ended now, the Itra Kingdom was already in their grasp.

The Terra Empire’s army and its powerful experts were already waiting quietly nearby. The moment the War was declared over, they would move in to help Philo occupy the remaining territories.

But from the looks of it, Isaac’s mission was proceeding even more brilliantly than he had imagined...

Mensa watched Isaac on the screen and couldn’t help but sigh. ’What a pity. Princess Philo’s previous recklessness offended him. Although the Royal Family mediated and resolved the conflict, any hope of furthering the alliance with a marriage is likely gone...’

’Then again,’ he thought, ’if there were any hope of that, he and the Royal Family would probably object. After all, a married couple of Mad Witches...’

’That would be too insane!’

...

「Itra Kingdom」

Isaac was extremely fast, and the military camp wasn’t far from the Royal Capital to begin with, so he arrived quickly. The camp was already on high alert, with an azure Magic Barrier raised over the entire area.

But...

Watching the Soldiers in the camp running around in chaos, Isaac shook his head. ’This country is rotten from the top down.’

He made no attempt to demand their surrender; he didn’t have time for that. He simply extended his right hand, a glow of Magic Power flaring to life. The next moment...

A barrage of meteor-like blasts from his Magic Cannon shot toward the military camp!

The blasts created ripples across the Magic Barrier, but they only lasted for a moment. Soon, the barrier, sustained only by a Magic Treasure, was shattered by Isaac’s relentless bombardment.

With the Magic Barrier gone, Isaac’s shots fell directly into the camp. Amid widespread screams of agony, fires ignited by the explosions began to engulf the encampment.

However, just like the Magic Barrier, the screams didn’t last long. They quickly fell silent under the scouring of Isaac’s Magic Cannon.

After confirming there were no survivors in the camp, Isaac slowly descended from the sky and advanced across the scorched earth.

Without much effort, Isaac soon reached the heart of the military camp.

For one, the Itra Kingdom had been running this operation for many years, and their vigilance had long since eroded. The camp’s small treasury was never well-hidden to begin with, protected at most by a few Barrier Treasures.

For another... Isaac’s Magic Cannon had scoured the entire camp. Now, aside from this treasury, there was nothing but scorched earth. It would have been difficult *not* to find it.

Standing before the treasury, Isaac was once again struck by the fact that Kunba Itra was truly wealthy.

This small treasury was forged entirely from Refined Gold!

And from his Magic Perception, it seemed to be quite thick!

On top of the material itself, it was even enchanted with a triple Magic Barrier!

All of them generated by Barrier Treasures!

’Damn it, Philo’s really hit the jackpot...’ Besides the amazement, Isaac felt a pang of resentment. Although he would certainly get a share of this later, his portion was insignificant. The real issue was that Philo was getting one too!

Pushing aside his complicated feelings, Isaac shook his head. A glimmer of light flashed in his eyes as he activated his [Analysis] Authority. In an instant, the method for dismantling the Barrier appeared in his mind.

A Barrier created and maintained solely by a treasure was far too simple to crack. Even without his [Analysis] Authority, Isaac could have broken it with a bit of time.

A Magic Barrier that was actively managed was a world apart in strength from one that wasn’t, even if both were generated by the same Barrier Treasure.

Following the information in his mind, he dispelled the Barriers one by one. Isaac then heaved open the Refined Gold Gate and descended.

Upon entering the underground chamber, the first thing he saw was a small plaza where three thousand Artificial Humans stood. All of them had their eyes shut tight, in an unactivated state.

Isaac gave them a cursory glance as Harmon emerged from behind his head. With a gentle wave of its slender claws, a volley of sharp Wind Blades shot toward the Artificial Humans, effortlessly severing their heads and extinguishing their lives.

Under the influence of the great Barrier, they dissolved into wisps of blood-red mist that drifted toward the sky.

Isaac paid the Artificial Humans little mind. As Harmon dealt with them, he walked briskly to a Crystal Ball in the center of the plaza. After a careful inspection, a satisfied smile spread across his face.

This was the objective of his current mission: Francis’s Life Derivation Technique!

To Isaac, this item was of the utmost importance right now, even more so than the ultimate goal of his entire endeavor—the Kaleidoscope Eye.

But thankfully, it was now in his hands.

After confirming that the Crystal Ball was indeed what he was looking for, Isaac immediately checked its activation requirements and how many more Artificial Humans it could produce.

Soon, as he placed his right hand on the Crystal Ball, a strange expression crossed Isaac’s face. Because this thing...

...had no activation requirements whatsoever!

That meant whoever got their hands on it could use it...

’The Itra Royal Family really... deserved their fate...’

But this thought was quickly followed by a surge of joy. What made Isaac even happier was that the device contained enough energy to create another one million Artificial Humans!

One million!

’Won’t this be enough to stuff the Master of Billions of Flesh to bursting?’
