Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1095: Chapter 1093: Entering the City

With the city in hand, Gu Xi immediately understood the labyrinth between the city walls and the bird’s nest on the walls.

It’s a substitute for the moat.

However, Gu Xi’s attention was quickly drawn to something else.

At that time, when he got this land title, Gu Xi had muttered, how come they only gifted a Level 6 city.

After all, at that time, Gu Xi’s Yalidu City was already Level 8.

A Level 6 city was already somewhat unable to satisfy Gu Xi’s appetite.

But now, looking at the Demon City laid out before him, Gu Xi felt this time he hadn’t lost out.

He never expected that there would be three buildings in the city solely for training Giant Dragons.

The Green Dragon Tower, Dragon’s Nest, and Dragon Cave, it was clear that the city’s original owner had become very proficient in handling dragon-type units.

At the same time, the Bird Pavilion and Bird’s Nest, Hall of Silence and Statue Garden, Hydra Pond and Swamp Entrance — these three similar yet different training camps indicate different evolutionary paths for Harpy, Medusa, and Hydra units.

The variations within also exceeded Gu Xi’s expectations.

There were also original units not supposed to belong to the Underground City, like the Nightmare in the Black Forest, which was a distinctive feature.

Gu Xi recalled that this was clearly a unit from the Hell faction and wondered how the original owner of this land title managed to place it in the Underground City.

However, this situation proved advantageous for Gu Xi.

Dominic, who had just been transferred, felt more at ease handling a greater variety of units.

Following behind Gu Xi, Dominic looked at the Demon City with a different gaze.

Without needing Gu Xi to say anything, he immediately calculated the city’s output.

The higher the starting level of the troops, the slower the training speed, this principle he understood.

Although there were the Green Dragon Tower, Dragon’s Nest, and Dragon Cave in the Demon City, producing six dragons weekly would already be considered excellent.

The fear was only being able to produce three dragons weekly, which would be somewhat wasteful.

As he followed Gu Xi into the Demon City district, Dominic mustered the courage to say.

”My lord, could we move the Teleportation Gate of Dragon Valley and the Fire Pit to this city?”

Just entering the Demon City, without yet seeing the surroundings clearly, Gu Xi was momentarily stunned by this question.

But he soon understood Dominic’s intentions.

The Teleportation Gate of Dragon Valley, it’s a prized possession capable of secretly bringing out some Young Dragons weekly.

It was somewhat wasted being placed in Yalidu City.

After all, the Young Dragons brought out from Dragon Valley are mostly teeming with Life Force.

Letting them stay in an Undead city seemed rather unfair to them.

Conversely, the current Demon City served as the best location for storing Dragon Valley.

Here there are already training camps for three types of Giant Dragons concurrently, and if Dragon Valley was here, the dragon training speed would noticeably increase.

As for the Fire Pit, it produces varied units from Level 3 to Level 7 weekly.

For a city’s troops, it’s a great complement.

However, for Yalidu, it’s somewhat redundant.

After all, the troops attracted by the Fire Pit are equivalent to a refugee camp.

It’s not tailored specifically towards the Undead direction.

It means that the refugees attracted weekly by the Fire Pit are very likely not Undead units, but various odd units.

Even though Eldest Princess Anna recruits the units produced by the Fire Pit weekly.

Most of the recruited units are converted into Undead for use.

Only a few powerful units are assigned to relatively safe places, avoiding the influence of the Undead aura.

However, these units are few in number and not cohesive, causing Eldest Princess Anna headaches regarding their usage.

Dominic’s request at this time seemed like a solution to the problem.

Hence Gu Xi only pondered momentarily before decisively responding.

”Alright, but you need to handle the building transfer yourself; moreover, if the road between Demon City and Yalidu is not open, even with our intent to move, it’s impossible to transfer everything over in a short time.”

”Rest assured, my lord, I will handle everything.”

Dominic thumped his chest confidently.

Gu Xi nodded noncommittally.

While they spoke, they reached the Assembly Hall first.

Pushing open the doors to the Assembly Hall, Gu Xi saw in the corner some vine-like things hanging down.

When Gu Xi looked over there, some of the eyes within the vines actually opened, staring at Gu Xi.

Hmm?

Curious, Gu Xi walked up to it, discovering they were handling methods of the Pillar of Evil Eye from the Underground City.

As long as he stared at these eyes, Gu Xi could immediately lock onto the situation in every corner of the city.

This was somewhat similar to Luna’s mirror monitoring system laid out in Yalidu City.

Except the monitoring system before him was more biological.

At the same time, Gu Xi understood that the one who gave him the land title had everything set up properly.

The Demon City before him might be someone’s usual tactic.

Dominic, coming in together, wasn’t one for much reflection.

He strode to the square table in the Assembly Hall’s center.

This was the city’s control center, and the map on the table represented absolute control over the Demon City.

While seated here, one could control the city’s development and construction.

Before entering the city, Dominic knew Gu Xi would assign him a stationed period at the Demon City.

Thus, he didn’t hesitate, directly picking up the quill on the table, signing his name on the map.

As his name was signed, a *ding* sound reached Gu Xi’s ears.

[Dominic (Leader) stationed in the Demon City.]

[The appearance of the Demon City has caught the attention of some nearby enemies, who will launch an attack on the Demon City within 24 hours, please be advised to defend.]

Seeing the two messages pop up in his vision, Gu Xi’s eyelids twitched.

Dominic’s stationing in the Demon City was no issue.

Initially, Gu Xi called Dominic over just for this purpose.

After all, he couldn’t stay in the Demon City indefinitely.

The Demon City required a Leader-level presence for guarding.

Dominic was the most suitable choice among Gu Xi’s leaders.

What he found intriguing was that the appearance of the Demon City attracted attention from some nearby enemies, potentially leading to a monster siege.

This point was quite interesting.

”Dominic, battle’s coming, you have one day to prepare. Besides the troops you brought, all city troops are at your disposal, fight well.”

Dominic lifted his head and grinned at Gu Xi.

”Rest assured, my lord, I won’t let you down.”
