Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1068: Chapter 1066: The New Equipment Carrier

Bailian City train station, Gu Xi, who got the ticket, felt a bit helpless.

Bailian City is not like Pei Xin City, where trains depart daily.

Gu Xi came at the wrong time; the train to Pei Xin City left the day before yesterday, and there was a big battle in Bailian City yesterday, causing all other trains passing through to reroute.

It seems the next train will be delayed.

According to estimates from the train station, the new train won’t arrive until at least the day after tomorrow.

Players wanting to take the train can go back to find a place to rest and come back the day after tomorrow.

Or they can take their train ticket and find a lodging nearby.

There are enough rooms by the train station, specially prepared for waiting players.

Gu Xi thought for a moment and finally decided to wait near the train station.

On the one hand, besides the train station area, he has nowhere else to go.

After leaving the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, he officially departed from the guild.

Houses in the guild will be reclaimed.

As for inside Bailian City, he has no residence.

Previously, when studying at Nether Bone Wind Academy, he lived in the dormitory, and he had a home once, but after going to school, he lost contact with it.

Now, he doesn’t even know where that home has gone.

Instead of spending time looking for a house that’s uncertain in location, he might as well find lodgings nearby for two days; staying anywhere is the same.

Moreover, after battling in Death City, he encountered an alien invasion.

Things happened one after another, and he hasn’t returned to Yalidov City yet.

He could take advantage of these two days to handle things.

So he wouldn’t have the mind to deal with miscellaneous matters once on the train.

Thinking of this, Gu Xi put away the train ticket and turned to leave.

But just as he stepped out, Gu Xi saw large groups of players coming over to solicit customers.

”Guest, would you like to come to my place? It’s a three-bedroom suite, each room with a different view.”

”Little brother, want to try something strange? Come with sis, there’s fun to be had.”

”Just arrived...”

Seeing these people, Gu Xi broke into a sweat.

This reminded Gu Xi of the time he encountered Black Players when leaving the train station last.

Since then, Gu Xi’s problems have been endless.

Now Gu Xi does not wish to get involved again.

He decisively shook his head, ignored everyone, and casually chose a high-end-looking hotel and walked in.

The hotels here seem clean, without any shady activities.

Gu Xi showed his train ticket, and they directly arranged a suite for him.

And explicitly informed him to contact the front desk if needed.

Gu Xi had no requests; he felt entirely exhausted.

So, he only asked the front desk to set up a reminder service to notify him to catch the train in two days.

Other matters, he didn’t bother with.

Upon entering the room, Gu Xi closed his eyes and used his methods to enter Yalidov City.

He appeared at the assembly hall of the main city district of Yalidov City.

Without looking up, Gu Xi could hear Luna’s commanding voice inside.

It was apparent that Luna was busy handling city affairs.

Gu Xi did not disturb her but raised his hands to bring forth two Extreme Sunlight shields.

Then Gu Xi lit the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp and placed both Extreme Sunlight shields into the empty Six Paths Disc.

This was Gu Xi’s intention; he wanted to see if two identical Purple Equipments could fit into one slot.

Unexpectedly, Gu Xi successfully placed both Extreme Sunlights inside.

A voice came to Gu Xi’s ear.

[Discovered suppressible Purple Equipment, do you wish to suppress?]

[Note: Once suppressed, this Purple Equipment cannot be taken out. Once suppression capacity is full and new Purple Equipment is added, old items will automatically be destroyed and become lamp oil for the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp.]

The two identical Purple Equipments now counted as one.

This worked.

Gu Xi decisively said, ”Suppress!”

The next moment, both Extreme Sunlights ignited, with the word ’beast’ appearing in the flames.

Then an image of the Equipment Carrier appeared on the lamp’s side.

As before, Gu Xi ignored the appearance of the Equipment Carrier.

At this moment, he focused entirely on the state of the Purple Equipment the carrier held.

Gu Xi noticed the carrier resembled a black stick figure but was different from a normal carrier, holding a Tower Shield in each hand.

From the carrier’s condition, it was purely defensive, likely lacking any Attack Power.

But that was precisely what Gu Xi wanted.

For attack purposes, he had the Vanguard Power - Shattering Array.

Currently, Gu Xi was continually researching the state of the Extreme Sunlight Carrier.

An idea emerged in Gu Xi’s mind.

Similar pairs of Purple Equipment count as one when placed inside.

What about different Purple Equipment?

If similar type Purple Equipments are put en masse in one slot, would they undergo similar changes?

If so, Gu Xi could give it a try.

Regarding experiment direction, Gu Xi first chose the long spear.

After all, a long spear could be used for close combat and throwing, meeting Gu Xi’s demand for Ranged Attack.

Additionally, Gu Xi considered the spear easier to obtain, most importantly having a higher chance for lightning and flame attributes, both of which offer high Attack Power.

If the experiment succeeds, Gu Xi believes the carrier’s combat power would likely exceed the Vanguard Power - Shattering Array carrier.

As he contemplated, Gu Xi brought forth the Extreme Sunlight Carrier.

Once he stood beside him, Gu Xi felt an invisible Light Shield envelope him.

Unlike other carriers, the Extreme Sunlight Carrier appeared and slammed both Tower Shields to the ground to attract attention.

Such a move made Gu Xi understand it aimed to divert enemy attacks onto itself.

Ensuring Gu Xi’s absolute safety.

With this assurance, Gu Xi was much relieved.

If he encountered a battle when stepping out, he has assurance against immediate defeat.

He could even observe more on the battlefield to avoid missing the final outcome.

As Gu Xi examined the Extreme Sunlight carrier, Luna finished her tasks and walked out.

Upon seeing Gu Xi, she promptly said, ”Master, you’re back. We’ve discovered a peculiar Undead.”
