When Luna led the team to Gu Xi’s side, Gu Xi had already cleared the battlefield.

The deceitful shadow corpses in front of the walls and behind the catapults were all cleaned up.

The deceitful shadow parts of these deceitful shadow monsters turned into deceitful energy pearls upon being killed.

However, the wall parts and catapult parts were left behind, turning into stones and catapult components.

These things can be useful later, so during downtime, Gu Xi simply had his men sort them to the side.

With the battle over, Gu Xi realized that the frenzied beast skeleton soldiers actually had moments of obedience.

After realizing that Gu Xi had no intention of attacking, they stopped, no longer rushing to the next fight without rest as they had before.

Once these frenzied beast skeleton soldiers stopped, there was no need for Gu Xi to specifically arrange for them; they could handle everything themselves.

The bones of the fallen frenzied beast skeleton soldiers were all utilized by them.

Before Gu Xi could use these corpses for summoning, they already divided up the fallen frenzied beast skeleton soldiers’ bodies.

Some snatched parts of the bones to piece onto themselves, while others took the weapons and equipment of their fallen comrades as their own.

Some even directly attached still-moving arms to themselves, regardless of whether having extra arms would affect their agility.

At the same time, they grabbed any weapon they could see.

For example, the catapult left behind by the deceitful shadows they killed also caught their attention.

Although they couldn’t use the complete catapult, they could at least grab the scattered components; the wood used to make the catapult’s throwing arm was quite good and useful.

Some weaponless frenzied beast skeleton soldiers directly grabbed the catapult’s throwing arm.

It must be said, their choice wasn’t bad. While it couldn’t match the frame that could devour deceitful shadows and emit the scream of fear, this wood could definitely smash a frenzied beast skeleton soldier with one hit.

In the empty minds of the frenzied beast skeleton soldiers, anything that could take them out in an instant was a good weapon.

So the surviving frenzied beast skeleton soldiers mostly wanted to use this throwing arm as their main weapon.

As for the wooden frame, they only felt it was good for battling deceitful shadows; they never truly unleashed its combat power, so many held it but rarely used it.

Even now, only a few frenzied beast skeleton soldiers still held onto the wooden frame.

Based on the current situation, these frenzied beast skeleton soldiers seem to have the idea of strapping the wooden frame to their backs as a makeshift flag.

Luna arrived just as Gu Xi was counting the frenzied beast skeleton soldiers.

After this battle, the original four to five thousand frenzied beast skeleton soldiers were reduced to just over two thousand seven hundred.

Compared to their peak numbers, it was quite a decline.

However, their Essence, Qi, and Spirit noticeably strengthened.

Standing there, they constantly gave off the presence of wanting to club you as soon as they drew a weapon.

Seeing these frenzied beast skeleton soldiers, Luna couldn’t help but glance at them.

However, she wasn’t concerned with soldier training issues; she was considering whether these frenzied beast skeleton soldiers had a training camp or if they belonged to the skeleton or giant class.

Meanwhile, Lord of Three Lions took the opportunity to step forward, wanting to confirm the strength of the frenzied beast skeleton soldiers.

Seeing Luna and her team arrive, Gu Xi stepped forward to greet them.

”Luna, you’re here just in time. Take a look—should we dismantle this city wall?”

”Let me take a look first.”

Luna waved at Gu Xi, but a smile appeared on her face.

Before, it had always been Luna welcoming Gu Xi; now it was time for Gu Xi to experience what it felt like to welcome others.

Smiling, Luna floated up onto the city wall.

Standing on the wall, Luna saw the fragmented city in disarray.

Upon seeing this city, Luna couldn’t help but sigh.

”What a pity. This was a good city, just got stuck at this point due to some issues.”

”So, did you notice anything?”

Gu Xi asked with concern.

Luna didn’t respond but floated down, and as she approached the city, her body began to shatter as if it were being sliced into countless pieces.

Yet this method was common in the mysterious mirror image space; it’s a rather typical mirror technique.

Luna, having mastered most mirror image type rules, could understand even the unfamiliar ones the moment she came into contact with them.

This shattering technique in front of her could slice a city to fragments, yet had no effect on Luna. She stepped into the city effortlessly.

After Luna entered, Gu Xi wanted to lead his forces in as well.

But before he could get close, he found mirrors blocking his path.

Gu Xi could only stop and watch from outside.

But this glance from Gu Xi almost blinded him.

Earlier, Gu Xi hadn’t paid special attention, but now that he looked, he realized he had underestimated the city before him.

This city, unlike what he had thought, hadn’t become an unknown number of puzzle pieces due to the broken mirrors.

Instead, it had become countless puzzle pieces that were randomly jumbled together.

It felt like hundreds of thousands of puzzle pieces had been dumped together all at once.

Forget about recognizing any picture from the puzzle; you’re doing great if you can even distinguish a color.

This was the current situation in front of him.

Gu Xi wanted to see what was happening inside the city.

That was simply wishful thinking; looking at a mosaic would be clearer.

As Gu Xi closed his eyes and retreated, Luna floated out of the city.

Gu Xi wasted no time, rushing forward to ask.

”How’s the situation?”

”This city can’t be saved. Everything inside has shattered into glass fragments. While things inside are relatively intact, it will take some time to piece everything back together.

I neither have the Power nor Intelligence for that.

If we let Eve handle it, it might take three to four years to complete.”

”Never mind that. I’m not counting on this city anymore. What I want to know is about the orange-grade equipment. Is there any hope for that?”

”Yes, initially I only had a hypothesis. After going in, I came to a clear judgment.

The city before us has enough strength to support a piece of orange-grade equipment.

However, we might need to discuss further on how to create this orange-grade equipment.”

As soon as Gu Xi heard this, he immediately asked: ”What do you need me to do?”

”Borrow the White Bone Obelisk.”
