Entering the city gate of the enemy’s Death City, Gu Xi chose a steady and cautious approach.

After all, now that he’s entered enemy territory, he isn’t quite sure what the octopus-headed Undead Mages have set up inside the city.

Just like his Yalidu City, when ordinary people enter, seeing a total of seven levels connecting seven different time-spaces of Yalidu City, they surely wouldn’t know where to attack first.

Gu Xi is facing such a situation now.

Upon entering the enemy’s Death City, it’s still unclear how the octopus-headed Undead Mages have set things up.

First, stabilize the situation, and talk again once the follow-up troops arrive.

As for the enemy response, Gu Xi looked up at the distant sky and saw the bone dragons circling above, with a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.

They’ve already lost air supremacy.

With this, Gu Xi’s chance of winning increases by half.

”Amirka, we’re here.”

Seeing Gu Xi enter through the city gate, Amirka finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He rode the armor-clad warhorse to Gu Xi’s side and pointed at the muddy road ahead, saying: ”Master, we initially charged to that spot over there, their city is very peculiar.

More than half of the buildings are located underground.

But their ground is bizarre, feeling like a swamp, yet also like walking on flesh.

On such terrain, my subordinates can hardly run.

Master, do you see those holes? Every half hour they emit gas, and mud Undead will spurt out from there.”

Amirka quickly briefed Gu Xi on the situation inside the Death City.

Gu Xi listened while observing the surroundings, while Dominic took the opportunity to use the troops he brought to swiftly set up defenses.

Though he’s not a specialist in this, as part of the Undead, many things are interlinked, and he does possess the ability to set up defenses.

However, when Gu Xi looked up, he couldn’t help but laugh.

This Dominic even wants Gu Xi’s Converted Undead Squad to help build defenses.

Isn’t this creating trouble for oneself?

He doesn’t intend to replenish forces in Yalidu City in the future.

Daring to offend the highest level of the Undead in Yalidu City by using them as cannon fodder?

Come on, take a serious look at their situation; none of these Undead are below Level 13.

But Dominic really doesn’t know this; when he was transferred to Yalidu City, he saw the Wangxiang Militia engaged in combat with the elite troops of the octopus-headed Undead Mage.

At that time, Dominic noticed that although the Wangxiang Militia wasn’t the highest level in the city, it was the most united and had the greatest potential among the troops.

However, just as he was about to express admiration, the battle ended, and the Wangxiang Militia put down their weapons and returned to civilian life.

This contrast left Dominic somewhat speechless at the time.

He thought that the High-tier Undead in Yalidu City had this kind of style.

Now, using these Converted Undead as laborers also followed this line of thought.

Looking at Dominic, who still wanted to assign tasks to the Converted Undead Squad, Gu Xi shook his head and pointed his Illusion Magic Wand at the empty space ahead.

”Ghost Gate Opening!”

A new Ghost Gate opened just like that.

This time, the Ghost Gate did not appear in the form of a Skull Mountain but as a normal entrance to the Ghost Gate.

The gate seemed quite large, made of cyan stones without any patterns; it looked like a large arch gate over thirty meters high, and without the numerous yellow talismans stuck on it, no one would associate it with the Ghost Gate.

However, with the yellow talismans adhered, the situation changed.

Just standing before the Ghost Gate, Gu Xi felt a great ominous aura wanting to emerge from within.

Still, Gu Xi went ahead and opened the Ghost Gate in front of him.

Gu Xi had already decided that if fierce spirits came out from inside, he would release them all into the enemy city.

If controllable Undead emerged, they would be used as laborers here.

He can’t let his leader later struggle to recruit soldiers.

When Gu Xi opened the big gate of the Ghost Gate, a sharp, piercing scream echoed in his ears.

Numerous ghosts compressed into human-shapes surged from the Ghost Gate, like deep blue missiles, flying towards the distance.

No matter how they flew, half of their bodies remained stuck within the Ghost Gate.

This situation left Gu Xi quite speechless.

The Ghost Gate Opening skill turned out to be a blind box type of skill.

The Undead in front of him could probably not be used.

Just at the moment of the Ghost Gate Opening, Gu Xi already knew the situation inside.

The Ghost Gate before him was a detention-type Ghost Gate used to seal evil spirits.

Even with the Ghost Gate wide open, the evil spirits inside couldn’t fully escape; they could reach relatively distant positions but would soon be pulled back.

Just like now.

The ghosts that had flown several hundred meters away hadn’t stayed long on the ground before being drawn back.

However, Gu Xi had a feeling.

That moment, if there were enemies nearby, these ghosts escaping from the Ghost Gate would definitely drag the enemy back into the Ghost Gate too.

This indeed was a good artillery platform, and an infinite ammunition cannon at that.

With just one look, Gu Xi had a thought in his mind.

He wanted to record the information about the Ghost Gate in front of him.

Next time he opens the Ghost Gate, he can select this particular one.

But now was not the time to think too much.

The current Ghost Gate did not solve Gu Xi’s problem.

Gu Xi was looking for labor for Dominic.

He was not seeking another super long-range, somewhat potent artillery platform for himself.

Thus, Gu Xi finally pointed in another direction.

Ghost Gate Opening.

This time, Gu Xi’s luck was good; there were no unforeseen issues when the Ghost Gate opened.

This time, a proper Ghost Gate appeared in front of them.

The Undead emerging from the Ghost Gate were all mummified or similar types of Undead, walking out in orderly queues from the Ghost Gate.

As they looked around, unsure where to head.

Seeing these Undead, Gu Xi beckoned to Dominic.

”Dominic, take these Undead as laborers. My Undead Corps are still needed elsewhere.”

Dominic acknowledged and dispatched these Undead.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi truly sent his Converted Undead Squad out.

Their mission was singular: to disperse into the enemy’s Death City and occupy important buildings within the city.
