Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1023: Chapter 1021: Death City Siege and Defense Battle

As soon as the Bone Titan took action, Gu Xi immediately noticed something off about its emotions.

Since the strength of Gu Xi’s Bone Dragon Corps had grown stronger and stronger, the Bone Titan had become more and more silent, usually just following Gu Xi around while the Conversion Undead Squad handled the fighting, making it look like a mascot.

But this time, not only did the Bone Titan take the initiative to attack, but it also seemed very excited.

There was definitely something wrong here.

Gu Xi glanced at the Bone Titan with some doubt.

He did not stop the Bone Titan’s actions.

At this moment, the Bone Titan seemed to be in a frenzy, firing one Lightning Arrow after another toward the gathering Mud Snake Monster bones, as if wanting to vent all its Mana.

To this, Gu Xi simply assigned someone to keep an eye on the Bone Titan, ensuring it wasn’t shattered by someone.

Although the Eternal Enslavement Altar could resurrect fallen Undead, it required Negative Energy and Experience.

The higher the Level, the more consumed.

Especially since it could only resurrect one at a time, even though Gu Xi had built such Eternal Enslavement Altars in different cities, when many died, they still had to queue in order.

Think about how long it took to fully resurrect the Bone Dragon Corps when they were wiped out back then.

Thinking of Amirka’s Ghost Knight Order, Gu Xi didn’t want to go through such a queue resurrection again.

However, the Bone Titan seemed unaware of this; it was both throwing Lightning Arrows forward and striding ahead.

It seemed to be chaining moves in succession.

At the same time, it appeared to know the enemy’s weakness, with each strike scattering the bones of the Mud Snake Monster gathering together.

After taking seven or eight steps, the Bone Titan raised its hands towards the sky, and Lightning actually gathered in its hands.

Then Gu Xi heard a cracking sound, noticing that the Bone Titan’s hands had shattered considerably.

Clearly, the power of the Lightning was too strong, even the Bone Titan couldn’t withstand the effect.

But the Bone Titan didn’t care at all; it kept raising its hands overhead, continuously gathering Lightning, transforming it from its original bright blue to a dark purple under its manipulation.

Die!

The Bone Titan opened its mouth, seemingly shouting.

Then Gu Xi saw a Thunder Dragon flying toward the location where the Mud Snake Monster was reassembling.

Bam!

All the mud and bones were blasted into the sky under this Thunder.

At this moment, Gu Xi was suddenly taken aback.

He noticed some larger Skeleton skulls among the bones blown into the sky.

These bones seemed to be those of Titans.

Gu Xi immediately understood.

The Bone Titan might have sensed a kindred body, which is why it went berserk.

In fact, this was a good thing.

After understanding the reason for the Bone Titan’s frenzy, Gu Xi no longer paid attention to it.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, his goal now was to deal with those Octopus-headed Undead Mages first.

Meanwhile, the Bone Dragons had already charged towards the City Gate.

As they neared the City Gate, the level 26 Ghost Dragon, leading the way, charged directly toward the gate.

At that moment, a magical scene occurred; the Ghost Dragon passed through the City Gate, flying behind it rather than into the enemy’s Death City as Gu Xi had imagined.

Regarding this, Gu Xi had already suspected as much.

He himself controlled a Death City, and when opening the gate, only his forces could pass through; during an enemy siege, they wouldn’t simply follow the open gate into Yalidu City.

Gu Xi sent the Bone Dragons over not because he was unaware of this, but because he needed to ponder a problem.

How to lock the other city’s position in battles between Death Cities.

Is it a matter of aligning gate to gate, or does it require deploying one’s troops inside the enemy gate?

If it’s just about aligning gates, that’s manageable.

Gu Xi can always push his gate up to the enemy’s.

But if it requires deploying his troops inside the enemy gate, the situation would differ.

Upon crossing, the first issue is solving how the troops can’t enter the enemy city through the gate.

Perhaps this can only be resolved when the opponent opens the gate to deploy troops.

Gu Xi must push his forces over first.

Otherwise, when the enemy deploys troops again, and Gu Xi has no soldiers to send in, it would be awkward.

Thus, even knowing the Bone Dragons couldn’t pass through the gate now, Gu Xi still dispatched them.

So, what about morale if the Bone Dragons find the gate impassable?

Why bother asking; when did the Undead ever have morale?

Gu Xi’s move hit the nail on the head.

Battle between Death Cities is really fought like this.

However, it’s rare for two Mages, both controlling Death Cities, to stand on opposing sides and fight to such a situation.

Most Mages controlling Death Cities usually lack communication, seldom facing such circumstances, so few know how battles between Death Cities work.

They can only rely on guesses to judge everything.

Gu Xi’s luck was actually good this time; the first probe pinpointed the right direction.

The correct way to battle between Death Cities is when the enemy opens the gate to deploy troops.

Only when the enemy soldiers emerge from the gate is the gate outwardly connected.

But when deploying troops, you must have the strength to crush the enemy to squeeze in.

Otherwise, the troops you send are just handing meals to the opponent.

The Octopus-headed Undead Mage wasn’t aware of Gu Xi’s thoughts.

However, seeing Gu Xi’s Ghost Dragons going back and forth at his City Gate, he felt something was amiss.

What was that guy trying to do?

Block the gate to stop me from deploying troops?

That’s ridiculous; he himself controls a Death City and has so many gates, doesn’t he know he has plenty of gates?

Block one gate; can he block another?

The Octopus-headed Undead Mage didn’t understand, resolutely deploying another City Gate, preparing to deploy another round of troops to the battlefield.

Ever observant of the Octopus-headed Undead Mage, Gu Xi immediately noticed and swiftly maneuvered the Bone Dragon Corps to charge at the newly opened gate.

As the other Death City gate opened, before the Mud Undead could charge out, the Ghost Dragon, along with various Bone Dragon Corps, rushed in.
