Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1015: Chapter 1013: Rescue Team

When Gu Xi arrived at the Teleportation Gate Plaza, he found the deputy head of the Sun Mage Corps sitting on the ground, gasping heavily and covered in injuries.

Behind him was his Contracted Undead.

Many players from the Chaoyang Radiance Guild surrounded the deputy head, looking at him anxiously.

Gu Xi squeezed into the crowd, wanting to see what had happened.

After a moment’s rest, feeling that his life had mostly recovered, the deputy head finally stood up.

”I’m fine now, how many players capable of fighting are left in the guild?”

Upon hearing the deputy head’s question, the surrounding players glanced at each other, unsure how to respond.

Since the beginning of Creation, the number of players in the guild has been rapidly decreasing.

Those who joined the Knight Order, Mage Corps, or other teams are better off; they have strong ties within the guild and mostly come from noble families, so despite the chaos, they won’t leave Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

But other players are different.

Some players took the opportunity from Creation and left the guild, following the team organized by Bailian City to Ancestor City.

Plus, the guild still has to complete various tasks for Bailian City, so those staying in the guild now are players without much strength.

Don’t be fooled by the crowd; there are not many capable of fighting.

Seeing the silent faces of the people, the deputy head’s expression also turned a bit grim.

”You don’t have to be too strong, just need to be above Level 5. It’s okay if you don’t have a squad; the guild will arrange it. I need manpower now, is there anyone available?

Sign up now, and it will count as a year’s guild task.”

The deputy head couldn’t help but increase the rewards significantly.

For a moment, players looked at each other, hesitating to understand what had happened this time.

Fortunately, some lower-level squad leader-like players stood out at this time.

”Deputy head, what’s happening?”

”The Fusion Association has activated their arrangements, dragging nearly a hundred different game worlds together, causing chaos in the game world. Some passageways for entering and exiting the game world have been forcibly opened by them.

Monsters from the game are about to rampage out.

The guild leader is guarding those passageways over there; we need people to go and support him.”

”What, how could this happen?”

”How dare they?”

Upon hearing the deputy head’s words, the players exclaimed one after another.

As players, they understood exactly what the Fusion Association was trying to do.

The Fusion Association realized their plan went wrong and decided to overturn the table straightforwardly.

But overturning the table like this, what benefit does it bring them?

If Bailian City is destroyed, won’t they gain nothing?

At this moment, a player asked, ”Deputy head, didn’t we say that all guilds in the city have sent people to help?

Our guild’s Mage Corps and Knight Order have mostly gone over; why is it still not enough?”

This question, once raised, quickly brought other players to their senses.

”Yeah, deputy head, we’ve already sent many people; the front line shouldn’t collapse so quickly.”

”Exactly, and with our current manpower, temporary patching of squads won’t help.”

Players chatted in small groups.

It’s not that they lack loyalty to the guild, but the truth is, they really don’t have much combat power right now.

Moreover, the issue of Black Players in the Fusion Association, most players have become aware due to recent publicity.

Outside the game, Black Players don’t seem better than themselves, but inside the game, regular players can’t compare to Black Players.

So most players don’t want to

The scene turned chaotic momentarily.

Watching the chaos before him, Gu Xi, within the crowd, shook his head.

Just when the deputy head wanted to say something, a Golden Crow suddenly flew out from the void and landed beside him.

After catching the Golden Crow, the deputy head listened seriously to a few words.

Soon, his expression became even grimmer.

”Alright, I’m not asking you to fight with the Fusion Association. At least help rescue the guild leader; without him, the Chaoyang Radiance Guild would be finished.”

The deputy head’s voice dropped.

Seeing the deputy head’s demeanor, Gu Xi hesitated for a moment, but eventually stepped forward.

”Deputy head, count me in for the rescue.”

When Gu Xi stepped forward, the deputy head was momentarily stunned.

Because Gu Xi’s attire was entirely different from the styles of Undead Mage and Death Knight.

The deputy head couldn’t comprehend how an archer appeared in their guild.

”Who are you?”

”Gu Xi, the one who received the reward at the last White Training Grand Ceremony.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, the deputy head realized, ”Oh, it’s you! Weren’t you an Undead Mage? I remember wanting to recruit you into the Sun Mage Corps.

Then you suddenly disappeared; did you change professions?

Became a shooter?”

The deputy head looked at Gu Xi, surprised.

Gu Xi knew his attire might cause some confusion, but he didn’t explain much.

”Deputy head, I recently completed a promotion, just reached Level 10, count me in for the rescue.”

The deputy head, hearing this, decisively nodded.

”Alright, even if you’re just a placeholder like a radish, count you in.”

With Gu Xi taking the lead, things quickly became simpler; soon other players also stepped forward in small groups.

Among these players were Death Knights and Undead Mages, the weakest at just over Level 5, and the highest barely around Level 11.

Gu Xi, having just completed promotion and reaching Level 10, wasn’t particularly outstanding within the group.

After gathering forty people, the deputy head had no more intention to recruit.

He shouted, ”We’re setting off now; time waits for no one. Follow me closely; regardless of what we encounter, ignore it, just keep moving forward.”

After speaking, the deputy head took out a token, casually opened a nearby Teleportation Gate, and led the group through it.

Gu Xi joined the crowd, following them through the Teleportation Gate.

Soon all players entered the Teleportation Gate.

And about ten minutes after the Teleportation Gate closed,

A new order was delivered to various guilds by Bailian City’s messenger.

This order wasn’t demanding guilds to concentrate their troops.

Instead, it asked each guild to self-check and send all players who completed a Level 10 promotion in the past three days to the City Lord’s Mansion, as an important task awaited these players.

However, Gu Xi had just entered the game and accidentally missed this message.
