Gu Xi was planning to pursue the enemy’s Death City, so he hastily wrapped up the battlefield cleaning and didn’t deal with the mud contaminated by sludge thoroughly.

Otherwise, he might bring back a bit of this negative energy-laden soil.

Gu Xi’s Undead had already tried it, and the Iron Finger from the Steel Ghost Claw actually had other uses.

When the Iron Finger converted the soil into iron blocks, it could expel the debris within the soil.

This debris contained metals and other attributes.

For example, soil heavily contaminated with negative energy could be used with the Iron Finger to solidify negative energy crystals, which are considered advanced materials.

However, the people of the Steel Ghost Claw did not have so many Iron Fingers for experiments back then, nor did they intend to take the soil along.

So, after all this time, they still weren’t as thorough as Gu Xi’s research.

But now Gu Xi had no time to care about those.

If he didn’t pursue Death City soon, the enemy might escape.

”Pursue the enemy’s Death City.”

After getting all his troops into Yalidov, Gu Xi immediately ordered to lock onto the enemy’s Death Knight.

Simultaneously, he also prepared to dispatch the Gargoyle Squad to scout the path.

At the very least, he needed to find out where the octopus-headed Undead Mage fled to.

But what Gu Xi hadn’t expected was that as soon as he proposed to pursue the enemy’s Death City, the surrounding environment rapidly changed.

He was originally commanding the overall situation from atop the Soul Summoning Tower, but he found himself inexplicably appearing on the gate tower of the Main City Gate.

From this position, Gu Xi could see around him. He keenly noticed that he was not in the chaotic game world, nor in the Mirror Image Underground Palace where Yalidu City originally was.

Outside the City Gate, it was all darkness; the road that had been explored had disappeared.

About thirty miles beyond the Main City Gate, the city gate of Death City that Gu Xi had seen before was now drawing his attention.

So this was the situation of the so-called pursuit.

Standing on the City Wall of the Main City Gate, Gu Xi immediately understood that the battle between Death Cities was not conducted in each city’s stationed location.

Instead, it was a battle between two cities. The two cities, originally belonging to different dimensions, were now on the same plane due to the unique attributes of Death City.

More than thirty miles?

Gu Xi glanced at the distant enemy city, a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.

This distance would be hard to cover in a short time.

”You’re right, Lord of Three Lions, those Undead who previously invaded us, have they been dealt with?”

While considering the distance to the enemy city, Gu Xi looked around and soon found the Lord of Three Lions, also on the gate tower.

”It’s handled. Their strength is quite decent, but there weren’t many of them, and they didn’t cooperate well with each other. In battle, they fought individually, so we just needed to separate them for handling.

It’s not a particularly difficult task.

Moreover, this time, the Wangxiang Militia took action. Their combat power is strong enough, and for battles like this, especially street fights during city defense, it’s basically their home ground.

No heroes are needed; they can handle the battle on their own.”

”It seems these militias are quite useful. When there are more militias in the future, I’ll arrange for them to handle city defense in Yalidov City.”

Gu Xi murmured as he made arrangements for the situation here.

At this moment, Luna, Shaya, and the Eldest Princess Anna had all arrived here.

”My Lord!”

Seeing his three Contracted Undead, Gu Xi nodded.

”You see the current situation too. I’ve discovered a Death City, and we already have four Hero units leading troops into the enemy city, plus the Bone Dragon Corps has also gone in.

We can say that we’ve already secured a foothold inside the enemy’s city.

Moreover, most of the enemy’s troops have been cleared out this time.

We have a great chance of victory now, but before taking action, we must ensure the safety of our own city.

Eldest Princess Anna, I’ll extract half of the troops; can you handle the security of Yalidov City?

”Rest assured, my Lord. Don’t mention removing half of the forces; even if you took all city troops, I could still defend Yalidov City with the remaining Undead.”

The Eldest Princess Anna was quite confident about this.

”That’s good, and Eldest Princess Anna, prepare all kinds of siege weapons. Besides the usual Catapult, I will also need Assault Vehicles, Cloud Ladder Tower Vehicles, and in substantial numbers.”

Even though it’s a game, we need to make a proper display during a siege.

This isn’t a heroic unrivaled game where a single Catapult can conquer the world. If we are really to siege, at least a hundred Catapults would be needed to instantly bring down the enemy’s city wall.

If there aren’t that many Catapults, it would be best to bring something like Cyclops.

Common Cyclops have the ability to hurl stones, and the stones they throw are equivalent to the attack effect of a Catapult.

If not, there’s always the Earthquake Skill.

Even though Gu Xi hadn’t besieged a city before, he had learned quite a bit of theoretical knowledge.

He understood that as long as he got into the city, the remaining tasks were not an issue; the biggest problem in a siege was breaching the city.

Even though Gu Xi already had four units inside the enemy city, the distance was now great, and he wasn’t sure whether the enemy city had other setups.

Gu Xi needed to take the worst-case scenario into account.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s request, the Eldest Princess Anna immediately said.

”There are siege weapons available. I can dispatch a batch right now.”

The Eldest Princess Anna said coolly, since the Blacksmith Shop was built, the Armory was also constructed.

The Blacksmith Shop is responsible for re-equipping the city’s troops, while the Armory is responsible for producing various siege weapons.

These two places start working as soon as there are enough materials, and they won’t stop.

The Blacksmith Shop repeatedly outfits the city’s Undead.

The Armory constructs various siege weapons.

Over time, a considerable number of siege weapons have accumulated.

As soon as Gu Xi made the request, the Eldest Princess Anna immediately agreed to it.

There was no problem with siege weapons. The Undead didn’t need much logistical support, and given that it was only about thirty miles to the enemy’s city, Gu Xi didn’t linger here anymore.

He decisively ordered the troops to quickly gather and set out from the Main City Gate, heading toward the enemy’s city.
