Thirty-odd li isn’t really far for the Undead Corps; even if you bring Zombies along, it’s only a matter of a few hours.

Let alone that, to hurry on the road, Gu Xi hadn’t brought any Zombies at all—he used less than two hours to cover twenty kilometers.

At this moment the enemy’s City Wall had already appeared far off at the end of the road.

From this position, Gu Xi could already clearly see the situation in the enemy city.

That city was still full of the chaotic and twisted style of the octopus-head Players.

The City Wall was high in some places and low in others; sometimes its surface was Metal, sometimes it was directly Mud, and sometimes eyes would grow out of the wall, staring outward.

It was obvious that the style of this section of City Wall was unified as well.

On the City Wall, the Undead under Gu Xi’s command were already fighting the Mud Undead of the octopus-headed Undead Mage.

That octopus-headed Undead Mage hadn’t expected Gu Xi to keep chasing him so relentlessly.

He had clearly already fled, yet Gu Xi still sent people after him.

At the same time, he even less expected Gu Xi’s Attacks to come in wave after wave.

The Undead Heroes sent in at the start were indeed just tools, but the troops they brought along still had some real strength.

At the very least, when Gu Xi provided troops to Heroes, he always chose from the regular units.

Leaving everything else aside, every unit added under the Undead Heroes’ command started at Level 8; even the Skeleton Soldiers were Level 8 beings.

They had all gone through at least two rounds of re-equipping, and the Weapons they held were all +2 gear.

Some, having experienced major battles, had even better Levels and Equipment.

Their tool-man Heroes had all gone through one or two battles for Yalidu City as well.

In some places they might not be that eye-catching, but thrown into an enemy city to run guerrilla operations, that was no problem at all.

Once they moved out, they understood Gu Xi’s thinking immediately.

First, make sure they survived inside the enemy’s Death City.

Then go destroy the important spots in the city.

For example, the City Gate or City Wall, or places like the Barracks or Blacksmith Shop.

Before Amirka appeared, the octopus-headed Undead Mage had been chasing and killing these four Undead Corps inside the city all along.

In the end, because his manpower was lacking, and because the octopus-headed Undead Mage didn’t really believe Gu Xi would catch up so quickly—thinking he had plenty of time and not hurrying to act—he turned his pursuit into urban warfare inside the city streets.

That dragged away a huge amount of the octopus-headed Undead Mage’s mental focus.

As for the Bone Dragon Corps that had rushed into the Death City first, they were casually wrecking things inside the city, leaving the octopus-headed Undead Mage completely helpless.

Under these circumstances, the octopus-headed Undead Mage naturally didn’t pay attention to what was happening outside the city.

Which let Amirka, acting as the vanguard unit, pick up a bargain.

Leading his Cavalry in a full-force Impact, he needed less than ten-odd minutes to cover the thirty li.

When he Charged up to the enemy City Wall, he found they hadn’t even had time to close the City Gate.

When Amirka moved out, Gu Xi had given him quite a lot of authority.

As long as Amirka judged the situation suitable, he could launch an Attack at any time.

Seeing things like this, Amirka immediately led the Aurora Knight Order to Charge into the enemy city.

However, when he tried to rush toward the city center, he came under Attacks from the city’s Militia.

In this Death City, the main force was still the Mud Undead.

Although they had no Leader Level commander directing them, there were at least some Heroes among them, and the terrain inside this Death City was unsuitable for a Cavalry Charge.

Not long after Amirka broke in, he found himself facing the same situation as when he fought Dominic previously.

The Cavalry couldn’t run.

It was an awkward situation.

Amirka immediately issued new orders.

Since they had already broken into the city, they absolutely couldn’t give up the front line they’d just won.

If they retreated out now and tried to fight their way back in again, who knew how much effort it would take.

So Amirka made a decision: go up onto the City Wall.

Though the interior of the Death City was like a swamp, the City Wall was relatively better.

And on the City Wall, the Cavalry stood on high ground; when the enemy came, even just an Impact, while it didn’t have the full bonus of a Charge, could still boost their Attack Power.

Every Impact Amirka launched hit at just the right moment.

One Impact was enough to beat the enemy back a certain distance.

In this way, he managed to hold the City Gate he’d seized, and even occupied the nearby City Wall.

By the time Gu Xi arrived, they were still out there pinning down the enemy.

The battle they saw from afar was exactly the one Amirka had stirred up.

For Amirka to fight things to this extent here was quite impressive.

After all, this was a Knight Corps—without getting their Charge going, their Attack Power wasn’t even as good as Warriors of the same Level.

At this moment, Amirka was also thinking about one thing: how come every time he made a move, he ran into one problem or another?

Last time, it was that Leader’s powerful methods; this time, it was the difficult terrain inside this city.

Nothing anywhere was suitable for a Cavalry Charge.

Just as Amirka was feeling vexed, Gu Xi’s troops arrived a step early near the City Gate.

Seeing the situation on the City Wall, Gu Xi was quite satisfied.

He hadn’t expected Amirka to actually hold both the City Gate and City Wall.

He’d thought on his way here that Amirka would only be able to stall the enemy outside the city.

Seeing this, Gu Xi didn’t waste any more time.

The City Gate was wide open, the enemy city was right in front of them; at this moment, they couldn’t let Amirka and the others’ efforts go to waste.

Gu Xi immediately raised the Illusion Magic Wand in his hand.

”Gale Skill!”

Aside from intensifying flames, Gale Skill could also push troops forward faster; though it wasn’t as useful as Rapid Movement Skill or Rapid March type Spells, it was still a barely acceptable choice in certain situations.

At the very least right now, with Gu Xi having no other options, this was the driving force for the last ten li.

Under Gale Skill, Gu Xi and the Undead under him used only five minutes to cover the last ten li and Charge up to the gate of the enemy Death City.

Only upon rushing here did Gu Xi immediately realize that this Death City before him seemed somewhat different from what he’d imagined.

The City Wall of this Death City looked extremely twisted; as Gu Xi approached, he even had the feeling of stepping into a swamp, about to be swallowed by it.

Gu Xi didn’t know whether it was just his own feeling, or his Undead Corps all felt it too.

But this sensation made Gu Xi snap fully alert; he turned and ordered, ”Go, enter the city first—once inside, have the White Bone Obelisk carry out sacrifices immediately and build us a suitable base first.”
