Three Towers Game

”You have turned the bunker into a smoky mess, but correspondingly, you were also pioneers of that time.”

”Elder Liu, I do not wish to obtain the last piece of information by killing you. In life, your virtues and sins were made clear, and in death, you deserve a dignified afterlife.”

Wen Xishu’s attacks would drain a bit of Max Life Value each time. It was like a gentle scrape, but it was exceptionally steady.

Liu Zhizai, with his Life Value nearly at the execution threshold, still refused to answer Wen Xishu’s questions. Yet deep inside... he was terrified.

In the face of Wen Xishu’s remarks, his survival instincts were awakened.

Especially at this moment of hazy consciousness, he finally fell into certain emotions.

[In my lifetime, following Mr. Jin was absolutely not wrong!]

This was a mantra Liu Zhizai used to steady himself, and at this moment, it had become a bullet screen.

Wen Xishu had to admit, the Five Elders were indeed not simple.

Even at this moment, the content of the bullet screen did not reveal anything.

However, the bullet screen continued to appear.

Although the bullet screens all expressed unwavering loyalty to Mr. Jin, the emotions contained within them varied, and the corresponding memories were not the same.

Just looking at the bullet screen, it seemed there was no difference, but fortunately, Wen Xishu possessed the complex emotions rune of Tang Rui.

He gently touched the bullet screen, and instantly entered a memory.

...

...

Slaughter Tower, the eighty-fourth floor.

The grievously wounded Liu Zhizai lay on the ground, barely alive.

Liu Zhizai had encountered a formidable adversary, an unimaginably powerful enemy.

Von Neumann stepped on Liu Zhizai’s head.

Within the system of the Slaughter Tower, due to the absence of encounters between the Deceit Tower and the Desire Tower, even though they shared a common language, there was no possibility of recruitment.

Von Neumann sighed:

”Truly a hard person to kill. For a human, you aren’t bad. After all, meeting me is not easy.”

That time, Liu Zhizai thought he was doomed.

But soon, Von Neumann sensed a powerful aura.

That aura was surprisingly similar to his own.

He suddenly realized that his prideful ”scan” had been turned on himself.

Some ethereal voices sounded from all around.

”The first guardian of the Ark?”

”Your ability is indeed useful, various data, weaknesses instantly appear.”

”Cooperating with your captain’s weak point path construction… it’s truly a headache.”

Von Neumann was shocked because even the voice was the same as his own.

Meanwhile, Liu Zhizai was delighted. Although he couldn’t identify whose voice it was, he knew that at this time, whoever appeared here must certainly be Mr. Jin.

This battle eventually ended with Von Neumann being taken down first.

Mr. Jin defeated Von Neumann but also exposed one of his secrets.

”You... can turn into someone else?”

Mr. Jin said:

”Shh! Keep it a secret. Now that you know, Zhizai, I have two choices for you.”

”You die here. Or, you continue as my most loyal subordinate, becoming a part of me.”

Liu Zhizai could hardly imagine that just a moment ago, Mr. Jin looked like Von Neumann...

And the next moment, he turned into his own image.

”This is miraculous, what kind of power is this?”

”This is power from the God. Keep it a secret for me. The reason I saved you is partly because you encountered someone I dislike in the Slaughter Tower.”

”That Von Neumann?”

”Yes, he represents the Ark, a doomsday choice different from my homeland’s. In the Slaughter Tower, I can at least sever some of his opportunities. Perhaps in the future, he might encounter someone, leading to the collapse of his conspiracy.”

Liu Zhizai knew that the monsters in the Slaughter Tower would revive after they died. But death would worsen their future fortune.

”On the other hand, Zhizai, I need a confidant, I think this confidant can be you.”

Liu Zhizai knelt down:

”I swear to be loyal to you! I have been practicing this for many years!”

This memory made Wen Xishu secretly alarmed.

On the Ark, he had heard of Von Neumann’s name, Von Neumann and the Captain were entities capable of imprisoning Demigod Sirius.

Of course, he encountered ”Deceit·Von Neumann”. But Liu Zhizai encountered ”Slaughter·Von Neumann”.

Wen Xishu indeed found it hard to imagine that someone as strong as an elder would be stomped by Slaughter·Von Neumann.

But Mr. Jin could easily kill Von Neumann by using the method of returning others’ ways to themselves.

This was also the most crucial information in this memory.

”So starting from this point... Mr. Jin could already turn into someone else?”

If Mr. Jin could already become someone else, then who can be certain that Mr. Jin never left the ”facility”?

...

...

Slaughter Tower, ninetieth floor. By the campfire.

Liu Zhizai’s abilities were maxed out on the eighties floors.

Heading to the ninetieth floor was purely due to Mr. Jin’s influence.

”I am about to retire, I did something just recently… Zhizai, as long as there is slaughter on the ninetieth floor, even in the bunker, you will possess a certain proportion of the attributes from the Slaughter Tower.”

The previous words said by Mr. Jin were like this, but the next sentence made Liu Zhizai break out in cold sweat.

”Those not of my kin can’t be trusted.”

Liu Zhizai didn’t wait for Mr. Jin to finish speaking and immediately knelt down:

”Although I am not of your kin, I have already changed my name from Liu Sheng Zhizai to Liu Zhizai... You absolutely do not need to doubt me, I am more loyal than Luo Feng!”

In this memory, Liu Zhizai was kneeling, could only see Mr. Jin’s back and not his expression.

Mr. Jin just laughed lightly:

”Relax, Zhizai, of course I believe in your loyalty, you are still useful to me in the future, I also believe I can entrust you with significant responsibilities.”

”When I say not of my kin, it doesn’t mean I’m warning you. It’s just helplessness.”

”I wish, those who reach this level, were all Longxia People, I wish… the Dragon Hide Plan had enough good seedlings.”

”But those walking at the forefront are always William, Matthew, you. And Luo Feng.”

”Although it seems I favor Luo Feng the most, in reality, I am also good to you. I will bring each of you over the ninetieth floor.”

Liu Zhizai said:

”What about Albert?”

Mr. Jin slowly shook his head:

”How great it would be if Albert were a Longxia person. He certainly doesn’t need me to worry about. He is different from you all; he is a genius, a true genius.”

”A child of the era whose talents even I have to marvel at. What a pity that he is not of my kin.”

Liu Zhizai was puzzled:

”Is that something you say to Albert? Not of my kin...”

Mr. Jin shook his head again:

”No, Albert is my friend, I lament he is not of my kin, not because I cannot trust him.”

”It’s just that God will not accept him. That plan… forget it, the bunker should have its own heroes.”

”Zhizai, if one day I scheme against you, will you hate me after your death?”

Though Liu Zhizai didn’t understand, he still shook his head:

”I wouldn’t, my life is given by you, you saved me more than once, there’s an old saying in Longxia, a warrior is willing to die for one who understands him, I am willing to die for you!”

”To die for you, this is my honor!”

This memory has always puzzled Liu Zhizai.

Later, in order to prevent being seen as ”of a different heart” by Mr. Jin, Liu Zhizai always followed Mr. Jin’s orders to the letter.

He was also always eager to practice the saying ”a warrior is willing to die for one who understands him.”

But he did not understand Mr. Jin’s words, what plan, what hero?

Yet Wen Xishu faintly understood.

”Mr. Jin is very helpless, he shows inclusivity in teaching, but essentially, he wishes William, Matthew, Liu Zhizai... or even Albert were ’his own people’.”

”All of them... Longxia People!”

”But ultimately, the ones he could take beyond the ninetieth floor, among Longxia People, were only Luo Feng.”

”He internally desires geniuses like Albert to be Longxia People, but his heart also thinks that the bunker should have its own heroes, and this hero, is Albert…”

”It’s indeed contradictory.”

”Mr. Jin actually had a friendship with Principal Albert, but inside, he still resisted friendship… because his heart is not in the bunker.”

”He was a pioneer of the bunker, the first person of the bunker, he knew the bunker was the right answer, he dodged the wrong answer and chose this correct answer…”

”But deep within, he still thinks of his country, thinking about turning that wrong answer into the right one. For this… he might be willing to destroy the bunker?”

All these are just speculations, but the ideology inherent in Mr. Jin’s bones, that those not of my kin can’t be trusted, certainly echoes the theme of the Dragon Hide Plan.

In Wei Ping’an’s view, Jin Zhenyuan betrayed them.

But what if... Jin Zhenyuan did not betray? He was just trying to make a doomed plan possess the possibility of success.
