Three Towers Game

Is the line for the Hero who defeats the Demon King this unjust?

Demon King No. 5 doesn’t dare show his face at all.

But Demon King No. 5 can’t escape, even though Sword Hero’s speed isn’t fast enough, Demon King No. 20 has become Sword Hero’s steed.

And the time for the bizarre competition is still plentiful.

...

...

Demon King No. 5, perished.

The host said ”it’s all an illusion” while praying for ”Demon King No. 20” to turn the tide.

But reality is cruel.

At this moment, his mind echoed the words spoken by that human.

”Is there a way to participate in Hell difficulty... let two Heroes challenge dozens of Demon Kings? To gain more points?”

This phrase initially was a reckless remark, a boast enough to make the host’s mind crash.

But now, it has actually come true.

Demon King No. 20, perished.

The host collapsed to the ground, feeling no strength at all, but the fatal thing was... the phone rang.

”God’s” inquiry began.

The host tremblingly picked up the phone, of course, not daring to make Taurus wait.

”Ah, it seems this bizarre competition is quite interesting this time.”

The host was slightly surprised, the voice on the other end was not Taurus’s, it sounded more like a child.

”Oh, let me introduce myself, my name is Scorpio.”

The host was stunned, then respectfully said:

”It’s an honor, Scorpio, do you have any instructions?”

Scorpio was very calm:

”Don’t be nervous, my Scorpion Knife provided quite a few points for my friend this time, and he didn’t disappoint me. It looks like he is going to participate in the awards.”

”Just calling to remind you, I hope you can follow the process and don’t do anything unnecessary.”

The host broke out in a cold sweat, he certainly understood that this was meant as: Don’t create trouble anymore.

He also thoroughly understood, those two people had such grand figures behind them.

So this bizarre competition can be seen as a game between gods?

”By the way, I have a few words for you, which my brother Taurus wanted to convey too~”

”Certainly, I hope you’ll pass them on to my friend.”

The host said nervously:

”Please... please go ahead.”

”Don’t be nervous, what I want to say is, in the Three Towers, the Slaughter Tower and Desire Tower are opportunities that humans can use to change fate.”

”But Deceit Tower is not purely an opportunity for humans. In the Land of Obsession lies great obsession, in some special places, it’s not only humans who can use it.”

”In fact, we can use it too. For example, the bizarre competition. We can use the minions from countless apocalypses and their desire to grow stronger, to create factors that influence the battlefield...”

”And the essence of the Three Towers is to serve humanity, if the Three Towers themselves cannot kill humans, then in human-participated events... humans might disband the obsession.”

”In other words, if those two do not die, the ending they achieve might lock in future variables of the bizarre competition.”

”This is also why your master Taurus doesn’t want humans to participate, because if they don’t die, they will create a certain ending.”

”Though we can use Deceit Tower, its highest priority challengers and reformers are humans.”

”Unless other human challengers come later and achieve an even higher ending—otherwise, this will be the last variable of the bizarre competition.”

”In other words, the bizarre competition will be the final one, because I don’t think anyone can be better than those two, and ordinary people can’t even enter the bizarre competition, tsk, you’ve really messed it up.”

The host exclaimed:

”Scorpio! Please help me! Give me a chance, I will remedy it! I... I will definitely find a way to kill them!”

”Poof.”

Scorpio’s mocking laughter echoed.

”Remedy? Do you think I’m here to enlighten you? Hahahahaha, you’re so dumb, I’m here to laugh at you, to declare victory. I already said, the two humans are mine.”

”My brother Taurus will not care about you anymore, you’ve already screwed up his project, now, you at least have to ensure my project is running normally.”

”Of course, you could try to deal with my brother.”

”Oh, I’m not talking about Taurus, I’m referring to the contestants.”

”At least before you die, please play a bit of value, tell him—Deceit Tower has not only the variable of the bizarre competition.”

The phone hung up.

The host’s face was full of despair.

And not long after this call, the third round of the bizarre competition ended.

Winner—the Hero camp.

Number of survivors—three.

The surrounding scene transformed again, the host was still professional, forcing his spirit up.

He knew it was his turn.

Even a monster like Mother You has to be dominated, let alone him?

He had seen countless minions in the bizarre competition become nutrients for others during the process of changing fate.

He had long accepted this logic—strong ones should dominate the weak.

Even though Scorpio’s words were full of mockery, as long as that great person speaks, he will respectfully comply.

Looking at the three ”underdogs” who returned to the rest hall again.

Two humans, and one rare species, the host only felt extremely melancholic.

He had never seen... an awarding ceremony without elite species.
