Three Towers Game

Wen Xishu thought for a while. Now that he’s judged as dead... technically that’s a bug too. His dream manipulation does change some things, but it’s all related to the already dead version of himself and the deceased ”Jin Zhenyuan.”

Later, he will return to the human world, something the Underworld’s system doesn’t know either.

With that in mind, Wen Xishu said:

”I need my family to mourn me.”

The horse-headed lady smiled slightly:

”A friendly reminder, emotions cause intense fluctuations due to certain events, and the next time the same event occurs, the emotional impact will lessen. Do you understand?”

Wen Xishu nodded, understanding the implications behind the horse-headed lady’s words.

If Wen Chaohua died, Wen Xishu would be very sad, and that overwhelming sorrow would turn into merit points.

Wen Chaohua could use a portion of those merit points to appear in Wen Xishu’s dreams, stirring up his barely settled emotions once more...

Thus, Wen Xishu becomes sad again, converting these feelings into merit points for Wen Chaohua.

Wen Chaohua would then use part of this merit again to appear in Wen Xishu’s dreams...

Over and over, wouldn’t that be a way to farm merit points?

Could it be a way to achieve infinite merit farming?

The answer is, of course, no.

Because after each intense emotional fluctuation, recalling the same event later on will weaken the emotional response.

Time can smooth all grief.

The first time you dream of your first love, you’ll lament the innocence and love between you two.

But if over decades, you dream of her every day... you might feel nothing at all, even thinking something’s wrong with yourself.

Dream manipulation is the same. The horse-headed lady has evidently seen much of those who use dreams to evoke the grief of loved ones, seeking merit points.

But it’s actually like overdrafting in advance, drying up the steady stream of longing all at once.

Wen Xishu said:

”I understand, but it’s okay, please help me with this request.”

Wen Xishu handed out twenty sheets each printed with a value of a hundred merit points.

Undoubtedly, it was a generous gesture.

The horse-headed lady pondered: In our area... there’s actually someone this wealthy that I haven’t met?

However, her professionalism kept her from asking too much.

”Whose dream do you need to enter?”

”Albert Napolitano.”

”Oh, seems to be quite an impressive person,” the horse-headed lady smiled.

Wen Xishu nodded:

”Yes, very impressive.”

The horse-headed lady then asked:

”So how would you like to appear in the dream? Do you want to look as you did in childhood? Or during the peak of your lifetime? Or perhaps as you looked after you died, weary and pallid, or even scarier?”

The horse-headed lady was very diligent, given that the client was affluent and seemed to be a kind person.

Wen Xishu also understood that some relatives would be more moved seeing him as a child.

But there are also those who don’t miss you much... in such cases, you might need to appear a bit frightening in the dream, so they would feel guilty and go to your grave to repent, just to avoid dreaming of you again.

Wen Xishu said:

”The way I look now will do.”

”I need the dream I entrust to be effective as quickly as possible... immediately, if possible.”

The horse-headed lady replied:

”Alright, we’ll ensure that the first dream he has when he falls asleep, and the only dream during this sleep cycle, will be the one you entrust.”

Being wealthy is indeed wonderful.

Wen Xishu sighed once more, immediately following up on his request:

”My dream message isn’t to make him remember me, but rather I hope he will hold a funeral for Liu Zhizai and Jin Zhenyuan. A funeral that the entire Bunker will remember. But it must be quick, quicker than a trip to the Deceit Tower.”

The horse-headed lady was startled:

”You mean to say, you want to send a dream, but you actually want your friends to give the merit points to others?”

What a selfless good person! In life, he must have had a life-and-death friendship with Jin Zhenyuan and Liu Zhizai!

The horse-headed lady began to imagine certain scenes, moved by the thought.

Wen Xishu said:

”Exactly. Make sure to repeatedly mention the need for a funeral for Liu Zhizai and Jin Zhenyuan.”

”To highlight their contributions to the Bunker!”

The horse-headed lady was deeply touched, that he, after death, didn’t dwell on himself but still remembered others:

”Don’t worry, I’ll definitely make sure this dream is sent for you.”

Wen Xishu stood up:

”Then, I leave it to you.”

The transaction was completed.

What followed was a period of waiting.

During these few days, Wen Xishu was very careful, not talking to anyone, not involving himself in any cause and effect.

He just waited on the first floor of the skyscraper in the city center, waiting for a familiar face.

Wen Xishu was also anxious.

”What if Liu Zhizai or Jin Zhenyuan... were assigned to the Lower Spirit District... wouldn’t I explode?”

Indeed, on the roster of the deceased, there was no Liu Zhizai. Maybe because Liu Zhizai committed many wrongdoings, oppressing the bottom people of the Bunker, and got sent to the Lower Spirit District.

As for Mr. Jin, though he might have hidden some conspiracies, he was ultimately the top person in the Bunker.

Having pioneered a new era, being assigned to the Upper Spirit District would be reasonable.

So perhaps the absence of Liu Zhizai’s name on the roster was simply due to his absence from the Upper Spirit District.

Who knows, maybe he’s in the Lower Spirit District.

Wen Xishu was thinking, and if that’s the case, he’d surely explode.

He also didn’t know how long he could stay in the Underworld. This left Wen Xishu somewhat conflicted.
