Chapter 1579: Phenomenon

*Rumble!*

*Rumble!*

The dark cloud had gathered around the Golden Dawn City.

The people couldn’t help but look up.

”It’s going to rain. We should head back to avoid getting wet.”

”But it has been like this for the last five hours, and there is still no sign of rain.”

”True. Something is weird about this weather.”

”From what I have heard, the people on the wall or from the outside could actually see that this thundercloud is just around this village.”

”Seriously?”

”Yes. According to them, the rest is sky blue.”

”What’s that? It sounds ominous. Is this city cursed?”

”No way. Our Lord is a spirit king, right? He must not want something like this to happen.”

”But isn’t our lord currently away?”

”I don’t know.”

”Are we going to be hurt?”

The people had a lot of questions on their minds. Some were a bit skeptical, some believed that nothing would happen, and some chose to hide in their houses in case something happened.

Rui, Dimitri, and Incetta couldn’t help but watch the entire process from the ground.

Incetta couldn’t help but say, ”What are we supposed to do? It has been five hours since Miss Anna went up to the sky...”

Rui and Dimitri couldn’t answer that question. To her surprise, Lily was the one answering that question.

Lily said, ”This might be the last step to becoming a spirit king.”

”The last step to becoming a spirit king?” Incetta gasped.

”Who are you talking to?” Rui and Dimitri were shocked by what she had said earlier, but they were confused about her talk. There was no one around them, so there should be no one who could provide an explanation.

”Sorry. It’s nothing. Just a speculation.” Incetta scratched the back of her head while smiling wryly.

As Rui and Dimitri looked away, Lily continued, ”Yes. One thousand years ago, Master showed the power of black flame and burned the sky when he became a spirit king. It looked like you would show a certain phenomenon when you became one.”

’Is that really it?’ Incetta tried to recall what happened back when Noel became a spirit king. She spoke inwardly so as not to raise anyone’s suspicion. ’From what I heard, my lord didn’t make such a phenomenon.’

”Not necessarily.” Lily shook her head while crossing her arms. ”According to the report, his two elements fused, creating a new flame. This should be counted as a phenomenon. From the looks of it, it doesn’t matter whether the phenomenon looks scary or majestic, as long as there’s one, it should be considered legitimate.”

’Hmm...’ Incetta couldn’t really answer this question. In the end, no one really knew much about the spirit king.

If it was indeed a phenomenon of becoming a spirit king, she could probably ask about it after Anna succeeded.

Lily raised one finger. ”There is one more thing you need to know. No matter how hard I pestered Master back then, he only told me one thing. The spirit transcendence allows you to cooperate with the energy from nature with your own energy.

”In that case, you should make that energy from nature yours.”

’Make the energy from nature mine?’ Incetta couldn’t believe what she had just heard. She had no idea what Lily was talking about.

”Sorry, but I can’t help you in this area. In the end, I know nothing about the spirit king. But you should notice something.

”When you are a Spirit Apprentice, you need to fully integrate the power of your spirit if you want to become a Spirit Practitioner. This might not be a challenge, so even spoiled brats could become Spirit Practitioners as long as they get enough spiritual energy.

”The difficulty starts when you want to become a Spirit Master from a Spirit Wielder. You have to assimilate that power completely, which requires you to create a spirit mind.

”Just pure spiritual energy alone won’t be enough. That’s why most people stop at Spirit Wielder. They simply lack the talent to achieve it, or they might have been too reliant on money that they can’t afford to reach the next step on their own feet.

”If you want to become a spirit grandmaster, you need the spirit heart, similar to the previous process.

”However, the challenge becomes a whole new level when you want to achieve spirit transcendence. The first one is definitely your spiritual energy, which stops a third of the spirit grandmasters from reaching the next step.

”But the one that stops the remaining people is the power to control nature, the power of transcendence or the transcendent path.

”So, to become a spirit king, you will probably need something similar, but the key is something I’m not aware of.”

Incetta looked down, thinking, ’You should make that energy from nature yours. This must be the clue to the king path.’

”That’s what I think as well. Unfortunately, I don’t know anything about it and I don’t feel like researching that power. In the end, my state can only remain for ten years.

After ten years, I will disappear. But during those ten years, I will make sure to prepare you well, including finding dozens of spouses for you.”

”I will ignore that last remark.’ Incetta shook her head helplessly before looking up again. ’The power of nature... She is able to control the power of lightning. No, if I follow that description, she might be attracting the power of nature because it has become hers.’

Lily didn’t continue from there. There was one thing that she understood from that clue. No matter what the king path one took, it looked like they could only find the answer by themselves.

If it weren’t the case, her master, Alexander Ardagan, would have told her how to become a spirit king.

Incetta was still young, so she might be able to find that answer. No matter how long it took, she didn’t think Noel would just leave her stuck like this the whole time.

However, the lightning suddenly startled her.

A thunderclap erupted, producing a sound so loud that it made the people in the city shiver as their hearts skipped a beat.

A massive lightning bolt then fell down.
