System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1565: Training Place

[I’m back.]

”!!!” Noel couldn’t help but raise his head. While he was working, the system panel suddenly appeared before his eyes. ”Ardagan... Welcome back. How is your condition?”

[There is nothing wrong with my body. Because I forcefully opened it, I was the one enduring the aftereffect of that power, so I was sleeping to recover. Now, my body has recovered. It looks like you are also recovering pretty well, Master.]

”Yeah.” Noel nodded. Although he couldn’t say he was fully recovered, he had recovered by 80%. It would take less than a month to fully recover.

It had been one month since the fight against the demon king, so he had had plenty of time to recover.

[But it doesn’t look like you are improving your element control.]

”It can’t be helped. I am making some progress, but I want to focus on recovery first.”

[However, we don’t have a lot of time before the enemy comes.]

”I know that as well, but I really can’t do anything about it.” Noel shook his head helplessly.

Ardagan fell silent for a moment before suggesting.

[There is actually a way for you to improve, Master. This won’t be related to the improvement as a spirit king. It’s purely an improvement in how to control your two elements.]

”Is it?”

[Yes. This is the training method devised by your great ancestor, Miss Milinda.]

”!!!” Noel certainly didn’t expect Ardagan to mention that name. ”What do you mean? You have this kind of amazing method but you have never told me about it?”

[While the method is amazing, this is not something you can do here. If you want to do it, you have to go to the north, to the place where Miss Milinda once trained.]

”Ah!” He could understand why Ardagan never told him about it. Even if he knew about it, it was useless. There was no way he could go to the place where his ancestor once trained.

”Where is this place?”

[It is located north of the beast kingdom. There is a very cold place. In this place, my power is restricted to a certain extent. By using this environment, you can suppress my power while strengthening Heisk’s strength. This way, we will be able to achieve harmony.]

”Did she possess an ice element as well?”

[No. It was only good for suppressing my power to make the two elements equal. By making them equal, you will be able to figure out what it means to have two equal bursts. Why don’t you try using the two transformations simultaneously again and use that power?]

”It will hurt my body.”

[With your current condition, I don’t think it will matter if you just use it for a brief moment. It will take at most 30 seconds.]

”Fine.” Noel nodded. He first set up some runes to block his energy from leaving this room so that no one would notice and worry.

Then, he activated the simultaneous transformation.

”Fire and Ice Transformation.”

The burst of the two energies shook the room. If not for the runes, the mansion, no, the whole city might feel this power.

Noel hurriedly released his power. The blue flame formed above his palms, but the flame soon flickered and set ablaze, turning back from the blue flame into the black flame before disappearing.

As Ardagan said, he still didn’t have full control of this power. It was because the transformation caused an eruption of power, which made them unstable in exchange for strength.

”As expected, I still can’t do it.” Noel shook his head helplessly as Noel retracted his power, undoing his transformation.

[This is your current problem. Right now, your power is equal to that of your ancestor, Alexander Ardagan. However, the demon kings should have expected this as well. If you don’t want to repeat the same result, you need to surpass your ancestor by fully mastering the elemental fusion.]

”I know that, and I’m working on it.”

[Working hard is not enough. You were able to utilize the element fusion because I was the one weakening my power to match Heisk. But doing so wouldn’t allow you to unleash the full power of the fusion. I need to be at full power to do it.]

”Still, even if I go to this place, it will only suppress your fire, right? Won’t it be the same as you suppressing yourself?”

[Not necessarily. In this place, I will be burning with my full power. You will feel the difference in the fluctuation of spiritual energy. So, you have to see the difference in Heisk’s ice fluctuation to see what would happen when the two came together. Being able to replicate it at normal temperatures would allow you to master the fusion.]

Noel looked down, contemplating. ”Is there a place like that? I mean, there is also that ice crystal that formed in the Atracaeca Kingdom’s underground facility, no? The ice that allowed Heisk to break through.”

[This place is similar to that. Because I’m not an ice spirit, I don’t know if that place has this kind of ice or not. All I know is that you will be able to get stronger if you go there.]

It looked like this place was necessary. That would mean he had to go there and return before the war started. He didn’t know how much time he had left, so he had to hurry.

Besides, there were a lot of works revolving around the family.

Noel rubbed his forehead before saying, ”Alright, I will go. Where is this place?”

[I can guide you there once you pass the beast kingdom. I should be able to remember the location.]

”Alright.” Noel nodded. Anna hadn’t come out yet, so he couldn’t rely on her. He might have to ask Rose and Elaine to work even harder to cover up for him.

In addition, he was curious about this place. It was a place where Milinda trained after all. As the first wielder of Ardagan as well as the guardian of the world, Milinda should be even stronger than Alexander Ardagan. She was the one helping him combine the elements.

So, going to this place was necessary.
