Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 683: Chapter 208: Doomsday Armor: Activation!

The No. 7 Destruction Form and Soul Armor are the greatest treasures of this underground research base.

Obviously, back then, Xiao Yuanjun didn’t listen to the Black Prince. Not only did he not find a suitable owner for ’No. 7’, but he also used it as an experiment that could be repeatedly utilized.

Currently, everything the Xiao Family possesses is basically a reverse study of the ’Soul Armor’.

”Interesting, no wonder the Xiao Family quickly transitioned from an iron can to a flesh can.”

The former is Prosthetic Technology, the latter is Bio-Fusion Technology.

Changing professions is like crossing mountains.

”But who would have thought that the Xiao Family not only produced a traitor but also raised a loyalist. Xiao Yu’s father and grandfather are true Royalist Faction members.”

Gao Gong muttered while downloading these materials.

With them, his own camp could point out a ’Transformer’.

After all, he had acquired all the professional knowledge of ’Bio-Fusion Technology’.

’Knock knock—’

The sound of knocking at the door came.

Gao Gong had a thought, and using Dr. Xiao’s hair obtained beforehand, triggered a certain transformation lineage in the Radiation Beast automatically. Before the door opened, he turned into another ’Dr. Xiao’.

”Come in.”

A Tier 3 Bio-Fusioner, standing three and a half meters tall and covered with menacing bone teeth, walked in and respectfully said to ’Dr. Xiao’:

”Doctor, I’ve come for the blood change.”

’Blood change?’

Gao Gong recalled the information from his memory and immediately understood what it was about.

Strictly speaking, Bio-Fusioners are a kind of symbiotic species without a fixed form. Their neural systems are exceptionally developed, with a penchant for possession and eating live creatures.

For such creatures, simply imparting knowledge isn’t difficult. They even have higher IQs than normal humans, but the challenge is instilling ’loyalty’.

Chip implantation doesn’t work. Brainwashing is futile as they have no brains. Trying to tempt them with a beauty is a mistake since they love devouring beauties alive, in the literal sense of ’devouring’.

So after much research, the ’blood change’ tactic was devised.

By deleting certain genes during initial cultivation, they generate ’defective blood’ in their bodies, which can’t circulate independently. Without periodic blood changes, they would explode.

Using this method, coupled with childhood training, they successfully brought the Bio-Fusioner clan under control.

Gao Gong glanced around, found the blood replacement test tubes on the wall, and skillfully selected the instruments with the Prosthetic Doctor’s basic techniques.

”Doctor, there’s no need to bother with that, just pour it in directly.”

The Bio-Fusioner pulled its upper body apart violently. The torn area stretched like black cheese.

Gao Gong paused silently for a moment, then without further ado, poured the blood from the test tube in. From the split mouth to the stomach, it was absorbed like a sponge.

”Ah, refreshing. Dr. Xiao, I’m leaving now.”

”Mm.”

”It’s just inconvenient to change blood every half month. If only it could last half a year.”

The speaker spoke without intent, but the listener took it seriously.

Gao Gong pondered for a bit and suddenly realized there might be some opportunity in this.

While contemplating, Black Rose’s voice came to his ear.

’You’d better come over. Your little friend seems to be struggling.’

Gao Gong was startled, and without hesitation, pushed the door open as ’Dr. Xiao’ and headed straight for the deepest level.

Upon reaching the bottom level, a burly man was reading a newspaper. The strong biological magnetic field emanating from his body undoubtedly indicated level 60, and behind him was a Bio-Fusion Armor with three sharp spikes on its head and two eyes each on its chest and abdomen.

As Gao Gong appeared, those two pairs of eyes stared at him intently, like some kind of beetle. The gaze was almost tangible. Gao Gong had a thought and spoke:

”Xiao Sha, the family assigned you to guard here; it wasn’t my decision. Why take your anger out on me?”

Xiao Sha stretched lazily, ”Old Xiao, don’t be mad. It’s just a routine check. This place is so isolated that no matter how temperamental someone is, they’d lose their edge.”

”Can I go in then?”

”Please do.”

’Dr. Xiao’ opened his mouth, struggled to say something, but eventually said nothing.

Gao Gong nodded and walked directly into the underground, while Xiao Sha put down his newspaper and looked at the ’Bio-Fusion Armor’. The armor slowly shook its head.

”Hmm, seems I was too paranoid. Vivian suggested I strengthen vigilance, but who would know about such a hidden place.”

As Gao Gong reached the last layer, he suddenly stopped, took a step back, and then out of ’Dr. Xiao’s’ body emerged another Dr. Xiao.

And this one was the real Gao Gong.

As for the previous ’Dr. Xiao,’ it was the genuine Dr. Xiao that he had transformed and swapped through space earlier.

This ghostly craftsmanship of space overlapping and transformation could only be achieved in his current state.

By putting the genuine ’Dr. Xiao’ back, that was indeed genuine in every sense.

”What happened? Why did the checks get stricter? There wasn’t this person on the way here before.”

After sealing Dr. Xiao again, Gao Gong muttered to himself and soon reached the lowest floor.

Like a black tide, Spiritual Power appeared out of nowhere. This time, Gao Gong didn’t resist and allowed himself to be engulfed.

It was two identical bottom levels.

Both were filled with large quantities of advanced biological research equipment, a gate of White Bone, and the ’Doomsday Black Armor’ pierced by numerous biological pipes.

Just one is on the ground, the other is underground.

The two sides form a mirror image.

The ’lowest layer’ underground is empty, creating an illusion.

And in the real lowest layer, Black Rose stands with arms crossed, facing the ’Doomsday Black Armor.’

As for Xiao Yu, he has long become a bloody figure.

’Ms. Ye’ saw Gao Gong approaching, her eyes brightened, and she exclaimed somewhat out of control:

”Hurry up and save her, she’s about to die!”

Gao Gong hurriedly walked over, only to see Xiao Yu covered in blood. Logically, as someone who is more than 90% Transformer, her body shouldn’t have that much blood.

However, this ’blood’ is evidently being drawn toward a certain direction.

Gao Gong looked up to see that the ’Doomsday Black Armor’ started to gradually repair its damaged parts after receiving the blood.

’Soul Repair.’

Gao Gong immediately understood.

”The code on Xiao Yu’s body can open the ’Soul Armor,’ but the losses the Soul Armor has suffered over the years make it completely unable to release No. 7, so Xiao Yu’s soul was extracted.”

He watched as the black glow on the ’Doomsday Black Armor’ lit up again, and a blood glow simultaneously lit up on the White Bone gate.

That is—

Gao Gong sent a probe over.

Name: Gate of Chaos

Category: Information Carrier

Quality: Tier 3

Danger Level: Planet-level

Weight: 0

Note: Special materials used to craft special equipment, confusing souls, disordering thoughts

Gao Gong stared at this strange gate, as if countless human faces and tentacles grew from it, with thousands of eerie voices emerging from various systems in the human body.

Gao Gong closed his eyes momentarily, and the illusion vanished.

This thing is very similar to the ’Omen Machine’ sensed in the Single God’s psyche before, and the aura it emits is closely connected with the ’Memory Mother.’

’The Xiao Family, as one of the members of the Descent Faction, seems to have grasped part of the Memory Mother’s abilities; otherwise, they wouldn’t leave the ’Doomsday Black Armor’ here so confidently.’

Seeing Gao Gong hesitating to speak, ’Ms. Ye’ angrily said: ”Are you going to do something or not!”

Gao Gong suddenly smiled:

”There are now two paths, one is to sever the connection between Xiao Yu and the ’Doomsday Black Armor,’ breaking the soul-level link, but this also means she can never become No. 7, because given the current state of the ’Doomsday Black Armor,’ it can’t be activated a second time.”

”The second path is to completely sacrifice Xiao Yu, allow her to fuse with the ’Doomsday Black Armor,’ repairing part of the losses of the ’Soul Armor,’ but the cost is she will become part of the armor, disappearing forever.”

’Ms. Ye’ was furious, but her grip tightened, and Xiao Yu, though still coughing up blood, had eyes that grew increasingly bright.

”Cough cough... I, I choose the second! Boss... I’m begging you!”

”You’re foolish, don’t you know they’re using you?”

Xiao Yu shook her head,

”This is... what I should do.”

”If you just need a playmate, I can upload Xiao Yu’s thoughts and create a replica of her for you.”

”I don’t want those fakes!!!”

”You two need to hurry up, we’re about to be discovered.”

Black Rose looked down with arms crossed, and in the illusion realm beneath her feet, Xiao Sha and Female Bio-Fusioner Vivian had unknowingly intruded. Xiao Sha looked around in confusion, while Vivian spoke sternly.

”Little... Ye Ye, help me.”

’Ms. Ye’ glared with red-rimmed eyes, finally gritting her teeth and saying:

”You’re truly insane!”

Gao Gong stood up, grabbed the air with both hands, suddenly releasing countless spatial fragments from his palms, covering the White Bone gate. As the coverage deepened, the gate’s phantom grew faint, and eventually disappeared entirely.

He folded the gate once more.

In the ’Illusion Realm’ beneath, Vivian seemed to realize something, her expression growing increasingly anxious.

Without the gate, a large amount of white light radiated from Xiao Yu, transforming into a small transparent figure that flew toward the ’Soul Armor.’

In Gao Gong’s view, there was never a soul, only ’High-level Information State.’

On the figure, there were scattered phosphorescent lights, and amidst the radiance, the complex sword-patterned activation codes.

Gao Gong’s eyes flashed, and in the next moment, he fiercely threw Xiao Yu’s ’corpse’ toward Black Rose, while he himself transformed into a dense blood light. The blood light incinerated all biological pipelines and merged with the ’Doomsday Black Armor.’

’Ladies, I need your help.’

Boiling chemical substances and powerful spiritual power simultaneously infused into the ’Doomsday Armor.’

’Crack’

The illusion started producing fissures and burst open abruptly.

And in Xiao Sha and Vivian’s eyes, the long silent Doomsday Black Armor suddenly roared to life with the sound of a huge engine.

Those hollow eyes lit up.
