Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 682: Chapter 207: Saint Armor

As Ms. Ye predicted, these Bio-Fusion scientists were extracting the soul of ’No. 7 Destruction Form’.

And it wasn’t just one, but seven.

A total of seven ’souls’ were extracted until a dark radiance appeared on the surface of the ’Doomsday Black Emperor’.

The next moment, on the Gate of White Bones, the flames quickly turned crimson, and two beams of light collided fiercely, ultimately ending with the dimming of the Doomsday Black Emperor.

The tremors on the surface of the ’Doomsday Black Emperor’ gradually ceased, as if it had died, standing still in place.

Those seven ’souls’ were guided into seven large glass cups, with faces emerging and mouths opening and closing uncertainly.

The Female Bio-Fusioner flicked her claw, spanning over 40 meters, reaching into a glass cup, sensing it briefly, and nodded in satisfaction.

”The concentration extracted this time is not bad, approximately equivalent to the volume of ten people.”

”Seven souls mean that 70 more of our kind will be born. Pack it up, and I will reward you.”

Instantly, praises erupted from the surrounding Bio-Fusioners.

”Ms. Vivian is wise!”

”Great, I want to submit a request to Dr. Xiao to capture a strong individual for me to possess!”

”I want to eat fresh meat!”

”I want to buy the latest model of virtual machine!”

”Don’t let me devour the latest data!”

A horde of monsters wailed and howled, with crimson eyes and flailing tongues.

Some Bio-Fusioners were so excited that they transformed into even more twisted shapes.

In short, it was a scene of chaotic revelry.

Vivian shook her head at the sight, knowing that this race of theirs was always difficult to suppress their nature, regardless of whom they faced.

Yet, her pair of bright red eyes still swept in a particular direction, with a hint of doubt passing through them.

What was that feeling just now?

As those Bio-Fusion creatures scampered off, the space rippled, a terrifying spiritual power instantly sealed the entire site, isolating all external perception, and three women then stepped out from the void.

”Is this the ’Doomsday Black Emperor’?” Black Rose examined the dilapidated modified form with her beautiful blue eyes.

Honestly, she was quite disappointed.

In ancient times, without mecha and pilots, there were Transformers and Modified Machines instead.

In Warhammer 40K, Interstellar Warriors wrapped in tin cans exemplified the technological direction of the Great Xia Empire.

First, the human body underwent mechanical adaptability modification, followed by donning battle armor, achieving tens to hundreds of times of battle power enhancement.

’Doomsday Black Emperor’ was one of the most powerful Modified Machines of the time, possibly even the most powerful.

Each generation of Imperial Mecha was the strongest of the Modified Machines.

Legend has it that the top-level Modified Machines had their own ’intelligence’, a mystical notion back then when artificial intelligence wasn’t developed.

However, Black Rose only sensed a deep weakness from the other, stirring a bit of kindred anger within her heart.

Destruction Forms had both foes and friends, but regardless of the type, they were the strongest beings in the world.

To be imprisoned in such a small place, constantly experimented on and extracted.

Since when did humans have the right to do this!

But she might not realize that across the universe, most powerful beings met their end by being captured by civilizations, then dissected and researched.

One could only say that on this planet, Destruction Forms were a unique existence.

And the ’blood water’ flowing down from Xiao Yu’s forehead sensibly extended towards the ’Doomsday Black Emperor’.

...

At the same time, Gao Gong, having moved the cargo and feeling bored, was contemplating whether to join the three women, when Dr. Xiao suddenly approached, scrutinizing him from top to bottom, and coldly said:

”Come here, there’s an experiment that requires your cooperation.”

Gao Gong was startled for a moment and obediently followed behind, as the two of them twisted and turned, arriving at a laboratory.

”Lie down.”

Dr. Xiao pointed at a bloodstained surgical table, picking up something without turning back.

Gao Gong squinted slightly, based on his observations, this Dr. Xiao should be the Xiao Family’s full representative here, maintaining this underground testing base together with another high-level Female Bio-Fusioner, Vivian.

”What’s wrong?”

Seeing Gao Gong not stepping up, Dr. Xiao turned to ask, his gaze eerie.

”What kind of surgery?” Gao Gong, transformed as a Bio-Fusioner, mumbled.

”Testing a new feature of your body; afterward, I will give you three living humans to possess. Or do you intend to defy your creator’s orders?”

Dr. Xiao half-warned, half-lured, still holding a tube of green blood in his hand.

”Oh, so that’s it.”

Gao Gong nodded, his massive body advancing instead of retreating, walking straight towards Dr. Xiao.

Behind Dr. Xiao’s thick glasses, a peculiar flash of light appeared.

”You truly are a fake!”

The next moment, the ground beneath Gao Gong suddenly sank. In his perception, the gravity beneath his feet increased by 300 times, while dozens of beams of light shot out from all corners of the room, instantly locking each part of Gao Gong’s body. Furthermore, these beams seemed to be more than just lasers; they possessed a solidifying effect. Gao Gong suddenly realized that his ’Bio-Fusion Skin’ felt like a slab of cement mixed with solidifiers, losing its vitality.

Watching Gao Gong’s astonished expression, Dr. Xiao smiled smugly.

”Are you wondering why you were discovered, even though you disguised yourself so well? A soul disguise cannot be faked.”

”To be honest, I’m quite interested in how you managed to masquerade as a Bio-Fusioner, after all, not every creature possesses such powerful cells.”

”Perhaps, you can also introduce yourself, like who sent you here. It might spare you some torment.”

Gao Gong silently watched as the other’s hand began to transform, growing black nodules similar to that of a Bio-Fusioner, then inserting them into a straw, seemingly adjusting something.

’So, it’s not just purely Bio-Fusion Armor that becomes sentient, even normal humans can be implanted with Bio-Fusion Bloodline?’

How did he overcome the devouring factor in the Bio-Fusion Bloodline?

Back then, the ’Red Liquid’ Gao Gong created using his own ’Bloodline’, always craved to devour him, the host.

And the usual Bio-Fusion Armor couldn’t even be worn for long periods.

Earlier, Gao Gong sensed that in this underground research institute, there were at least seven presences that felt somewhat threatening.

The owners of these presences, even if they weren’t Bio-Fusion Martial Gods, were at least Tier 2 Full Level creatures, with close combat abilities stronger than S-Level Mutants.

If a commotion were to arise——

’It’s fine if nothing’s wrong with Doomsday, but the key is there is a problem.’

Might as well use that move.

Gao Gong restrained his urge to act, waiting until Dr. Xiao finished adjusting the gadget and brought it over leisurely before he slightly smiled.

Along with the huge grotesque face of the Bio-Fusioner, it appeared especially disgusting.

Professor Xiao frowned, intending to say more, but the next moment, it seemed like the other’s figure rapidly shrank, and he himself seemed involuntarily drawn closer. In a daze, the surrounding air transformed from gas to liquid, then liquid to solid, while no matter how he shouted, no sound came out, and the glass in his hand fell naturally, just to be caught by a hand.

”Though I can’t move myself, if you really come close, it’s on you.”

In front of Gao Gong floated a purple mirror in mid-air, the reflection being that of Professor Xiao. However, no matter how much Professor Xiao pounded the mirror, he couldn’t break it to return to reality.

This too was an application of Folding Space.

”You just stay in there nicely. I’ll deal with you when I have time.”

Gao Gong casually placed an investigation into the ’water cup’.

Name: ???

Level: Tier 1

Note: A special drug that accelerates pain perception systems and reduces inhibitors like ’endorphins’, generally used to punish others.

Gao Gong also applied a skill to the nearby laser.

Name: Imprisonment Laser

Category: Laser Weapon

Quality: Tier 3 - Fine

Danger Level: Advanced

Weight: 0

Note: A special weapon causing extensive stagnation of ’biocell activity’, highly effective against 90% of advanced species.

’Huh? This seems interesting, an imprisonment type laser weapon, the development difficulty must far exceed that of normal laser weapons.’

Generally speaking, the difficulty in developing laser weapons is as follows: Offensive

The difficulty of imprisonment type weapons lies in dispersing particles to create a special domain.

Compared to bundling and solidification, ’creating a microscopic domain’ is evidently much more challenging.

But the advantage is, once deployed, unless the opponent also possesses ’microscopic means’, it’s hard to resist.

If Gao Gong hadn’t directly ’merged with space’, it would have been truly difficult to escape.

”Let me see if I can find some good stuff.”

The entire laboratory wasn’t big, aside from some biological data, the most important items were a storage chip and a biological computer.

Relying on the 5.0 version of the G System and his experienced hacker skills, Gao Gong quickly unlocked these two devices.

From the chip, Gao Gong obtained what he wanted.

[You obtained Level 14 Mechanical Blueprint [Imprisonment Laser Weapon]]

When he hacked into the biological computer, he found it stored a large amount of experimental data related to ’Bio-Fusioners’.

He finally understood why these ’Bio-Fusioners’ had ’souls’.

No. 7 Destruction Form is neither Xiao Yu nor is it called ’Doomsday Black Armor’.

Its name is——Soul Armor!

The name itself indicates its function, which is undoubtedly related to the soul.

In fact, this is true, its ability is, with each acquired faith, its power increases a bit.

Furthermore, when the controller’s belief reaches a certain intensity, the quantitative change induces qualitative change, entering the second stage.

Seeing this, Gao Gong’s mouth twitched slightly.

What is this strong sense of déjà vu?

Golden Saint!?
