Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 675: Chapter 200: Eternal Life Conglomerate (Part 2)

But that’s not the main point—

”The main point is that this move looks quite familiar.”

Gao Gong mumbled to himself with a strange expression.

If he remembered correctly, in the ’Continent Plate Impact Device’ there was a move, ’Planet Drill’, specifically for digging tunnels.

If you dig from the oceanic plates, there’s even a certain probability of piercing through to the Earth’s core, triggering a planetary explosion.

Therefore, unless it’s a ’Corporate War’ scenario, the vast majority of civilizations and planets forbid the use of civilization-level weapons.

This is also why it is called a ’Civilization Deterrent Weapon’.

However, this effect is only caused when directly piercing through to the Earth’s core. If it merely impacts the continent, it will likely split the continent apart, akin to a meteor crashing down from the sky.

”The problem is, there are a total of five ’Continent Plate Impact Devices’, and it looks like a 3 vs. 2 situation, resulting in mutual destruction.”

”Could it really be such a coincidence?”

Gao Gong activated the communication function built into the Mechanical System, and before long, Sunx Hong, the biological unit head whom Gao hadn’t seen for quite some time, and who was once Gao’s personal bodyguard chief, came online.

Now, wearing a military uniform, a sharp scar on her face added to her cool demeanor.

”Cap, you’re here—why are you in Area 631? That’s our previous battlefield,” Sunx Hong said in surprise.

”So it was indeed your doing? Blowing up two ’Continent Plate Impact Devices’, do you know how much it costs to build one of these?”

Gao Gong looked at her with an unpleasant expression. Not counting the hundreds of billions spent on construction, the most important thing was, these devices weren’t something you could build just because you wanted to.

Even with Director Du’s ’Three Logistics Templates’ support, it takes half a year to produce one.

The money Du Gao Technology has earned from selling Mechas and dealing globally has been largely spent on developing these weapons, leaving Gao with hardly any pocket money even though he’s the top boss.

Indeed, industrial moguls ruin the nation, while financial moguls prosper the nation.

Gao Gong sighed sincerely and then stared at Sunx Hong, ”How do you plan to explain this?”

Sunx Hong replied, ”To protect this newly transformed Mechanical City, we faced attacks from three mercenary groups, and since they used ’Civilization Weapons’, we had no choice but to respond in kind.”

”Wait, three mercenary legions?” Gao Gong frowned, ”Is Ms. Ye still waging wars everywhere?”

After receiving strong support from the Du Gao Group, Ms. Ye, also known as Dark Girl No. 550, was even fiercer than in history; not only could she fight three at once, but she once waged battles against ten Mechanical Cities simultaneously.

But logically, after gaining a decisive advantage, Ms. Ye should keep a lower profile and quickly convert the ’artificial data’ she controlled into computational power for the ’Electronic Brain Plan’.

This was the only way to solidify her foundation and gain recognition from the Mother City.

After all, the ultimate goal of the Electronic Brain Plan is to liberate computational power, allowing all super corporations to update and upgrade technological products at ten to a hundred times the previous rate, reaching the theoretical civilization limit.

And once the limit is reached, you qualify to craft more advanced, technology-laden equipment to boost civilization levels.

Such equipment is collectively known as ’Ascension Equipment’.

According to Gao Gong’s memory, that Dark Girl was definitely not naive, nor was she brain-dead; there must be a reason behind her actions.

As expected, Sunx Hong said, ”Our opponents hired ten large military contractors on par with Du Gao Technology, who are working together against us.”

”Ten?” Gao Gong was stunned. Hiring a ’legion’ is incredibly costly; hiring just one would be a massive expenditure. Many companies involved in corporate wars even use their in-house security forces.

”Which wealthy tycoon has that much money?”

”The Eternal Life Conglomerate.”

”It’s them!”

Gao Gong frowned.

In the previous life’s storyline, they indeed appeared and were Ms. Ye’s greatest enemy.

However, time-wise, they should only appear at least half a year after the start of the corporate war as a major stumbling block.

In fact, Ms. Ye almost hit a dead end in the last life.

She even made significant sacrifices to temporarily boost her superpower to ’SSS’ strength.

Thus, Ms. Ye could only be a goddess for one version; she barely had any screen time in the subsequent version.

To make matters more complex, after the Holy Brain Group won the 17th corporate war, Eternal Life Technology announced they had purchased 24.4% of the Holy Brain Group’s shares.

They truly turned capital maneuvering into an art form.

The primary reason the Eternal Life Conglomerate is so powerful is that they are incredibly wealthy.

The richest person on this planet—99% of people would think of the Cloud Nobility.

But the Cloud Nobility merely control the extraterrestrial smuggling business.

This conglomerate, however, can openly conduct business with alien conglomerates or even some Level 3 Civilizations.

While the Cloud Nobility earns one unit, they could earn ten.

Rumor has it that it’s a company majority-owned by the Mother City.

But Gao Gong doesn’t believe such rumors.

The reason is simple: the Mother City is backed by a Level 7 Civilization, and they wouldn’t operate that way.

Conversely, if there’s an entity behind the Eternal Life Conglomerate, could it also be an Advanced Civilization?

Advanced Civilizations have the patience to make strategic moves, possibly even from the planet’s initial stage.

”So, our opponent has become the Eternal Life Conglomerate, right.”

Gao Gong touched his chin and said:

”Show me the battle report.”

Corporate battle reports are classified, but for Gao Gong, secrecy doesn’t exist.

After briefly scanning it, Gao Gong could confirm that the Eternal Life Conglomerate entered the scene prematurely because the Du Gao Group disrupted the timeline, turning Dark Girl into a Hexagon Warrior from the start.

Ms. Ye had already controlled 60 out of 100 Mechanical Cities in the Northern Hemisphere.

If no action was taken, the odds were they would really be pummeled.

”I get it, we’ll discuss the specifics when I get to you,” Gao Gong stated.

Sunx Hong nodded, and the holographic communication ended.

At the same time, a message was sent through the same encrypted channel.

Gao Gong raised an eyebrow; these days, 99% of hackers were under his thumb, yet someone still dared to do this. What guts!

The holographic projection came up, displaying an unremarkable-looking middle-aged man. Before the man could speak, Gao Gong said coldly:

”I need an explanation for how you accessed my channel.”

The middle-aged man was taken aback but then chuckled.

”Mr. G, there’s a misunderstanding. This isn’t your channel; it’s my company’s channel. Just ten minutes ago, we purchased this communications company and used its network to send you this invitation for a discussion.”

Wow, are you Batman or something?

Gao Gong rolled his eyes and said, ”Speak plainly, or I’m hanging up.”

The middle-aged man nodded in agreement, getting straight to the point:

”Top price, 5,000 billion Mechanical Coins, hoping your group will abandon Ms. Ye and cooperate with us.”

”...”

Gao Gong’s mouth twitched.

Are these even human words?

”Let’s change the terms: 200,000 Mother City Trading Points, same conditions, how about that?”

200,000 trading points—Gao Gong remembered that when Dou sold Level 2 Civilization Super Technology, the Consciousness Package Technology, to the Mother City, it only fetched 17,000.

At that price, Gao Gong felt he could purchase ten sets of ’Martial God Armor’.

Wealthy, so wealthy!

”Still not tempted? Well then, is your group considering going public in the Mother City soon? Or perhaps, what are your thoughts on eternal life, have you considered leaving this Cyber Test Field to develop in an Alien Civilization? Do you have ambitions for personal combat power? We can help you surpass the tier limit and sign a Knight Agreement with a ’Tier 4 Cosmic Creature’, how about that?”

Gao Gong said nothing, but Black Rose walked forward with a smile, her eyes narrowed, a very dangerous expression.

”Are you, very rich?”
