Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 665: Chapter 191: Biological Heart Demon (Part 4)

All the gears hummed incessantly, and in the next moment, instead of advancing, they retreated, crazily hacking at the Single God.

This kind of mechanical construct is akin to demon soldiers; used carelessly, they will surely devour their master.

In an instant, the flesh of the Single God was cut, spraying blood everywhere, with severed limbs, his whole body resembling a torn cloth sack.

This time the injuries were even worse than before.

”Hey, Old Dan, are you okay!? What’s your situation?”

Several palm-sized medical robots immediately flew over, spraying a burst of freezing liquid.

Gao Gong released his hand from covering the little girl’s eyes, thought for a moment, and said, ”Quickly go do your homework. Your mom said if your learning chip isn’t half full before she returns, she’ll delete your game feature and load all the chip’s power onto learning. You’ll never be able to escape.”

”Hmph, Uncle Gao is bad!”

The little girl jumped off from Gao Gong’s embrace, made a face at him, and ran away.

Professor Han frowned, looking at Du Xiaohai. Visible cracks appeared on Du Xiaohai’s bionic skin, a problem only the lowest-grade bionic people would have.

Clearly adorable, like a Barbie doll, yet these cracks added an eerie quality.

Professor Han looked at Gao Gong, who nodded, and said, ”Similar to your situation, when she was adopted, her system was mostly broken, stabilized only through a ’Personality Balancing Agent.’”

”Pity, at such a young age—”

Professor Han sighed and said.

”Let’s go in and have a look.”

Gao Gong pushed Professor Han into the combat center, where the Single God was already frozen like a corpse in a freezer.

In this state, it was clear he would soon need a major repair at the ’Nest.’

Seeing Gao Gong, a bitter smile appeared on the Single God’s face:

”I thought the Nest could completely heal my injuries; now it seems, I was too optimistic.”

”Your injuries are in your heart, not your body,” Gao Gong said unceremoniously. ”You have a heart demon; your physical body is fine.”

”Yeah, Old Dan,” Black Python scratched the back of his head, grumbling, ”When I fought you, I felt that sometimes you could have killed me, but you’d always show a flaw. I even thought you fancied me.”

Single God was speechless.

”Alright, tell me the story you didn’t finish earlier,” Gao Gong said. ”Why did you stop being a Martial God and become a security guard?”

A trace of reminiscence flashed in the Single God’s eyes: ”Actually, it’s no secret.”

Other than the Deep Net,

Cybertron and Fortress would cultivate their own Martial God forces.

One is a reformed Martial God based on the ’Cybertron Mechanism’.

The other is the newly rising ’Bio-Fusion Martial God.’

And the title of ’Martial God’ is limited.

Every year, both sides send their representatives to engage in a Martial God war, and the losing side is stripped of the Martial God title.

”I participated in three Martial God wars, won one, drew one, and was utterly defeated in the last one.”

According to the Single God, at that time, he had just mastered the ’construct’ and possessed a Martial God level mechanical transformation, exceeding his current power by far.

Filled with confidence, he felt that with his strength, not only could he win the Martial God war, but he could even compete for the position of the ’First Martial God.’

Then, he encountered the Xiao Family’s young talent, Xiao Yu.

”Xiao Yu?”

Gao Gong was taken aback, was this name a coincidence?

Seeing his boss’s expression, the Single God elaborated:

”Xiao Yu, 16 years old, the Xiao Family’s youngest Bio-Fusion Armor wielder, piloting the ’Omen Machine,’ which is troubling because it can store and release biological viruses. Every generation of ’Omen Rider’ ends tragically. It’s rumored that this type of Bio-Fusion Armor possesses its own biological AI, secretly devouring its armor’s master, hoping to one day become its master.”

”At that time, I was fully mechanical, without any biological system, so I was full of confidence, believing the virus couldn’t harm me at all.”

The Single God exhaled,

”In the end, I met with a tragic defeat. It was precisely because of this defeat that I was stripped of the Martial God title and developed a heart demon.”
