Not Being a Trainer This Time

Because the secretion from Gloom is incredibly stinky, it can drift up to two kilometers away and is strong enough to make people faint.

”Poliwag, a Water Type Pokémon, is very adept at using Water Gun, making it useful for irrigating fields. However, this Pokémon has already been reserved by a farm owner, so we can’t let Mr. Naoki have it!” Mei apologized.

Naoki wasn’t bothered at all: ”No problem, I have Pokémon in my ranch specifically for watering.”

He was referring to his own Dragonite.

”Well, there’s only one left!” Mei squatted down and patted the head of the Eevee: ”This little one also came from over the hill. It’s very lively and cheerful, easy to get along with!”

”I could tell.” Naoki squatted down, greeting the Eevee while observing it closely.

In the real world, an Eevee looks similar to a fox.

Eevee’s fur is mostly brown, with fluffy cream-colored fur around its neck and on the tip of its tail, making it look very cute.

Underneath are four fluffy legs, each with three toes and pink pads, and its long ears resemble a rabbit’s. A pair of brown eyes are very lively, with a small black nose beneath them.

”Vee~”

At this moment, the Eevee was sitting on the grass, gently swaying its fluffy, big tail, tilting its head to look over, with big eyes full of innocence.

”Boom!”

Naoki felt as if his heart had been struck by Cupid’s arrow of love, pounding wildly.

He decided he wanted this Eevee!

Mei noticed his intent and chuckled lightly: ”It seems Mr. Naoki also likes Eevee, this Pokémon!”

”Hello, Eevee, my name is Naoki, nice to meet you.” Naoki started greeting Eevee.

Eevee: (◦˙▽˙◦)

Mei looked down and asked: ”Eevee, Mr. Naoki is a very kind person. Would you like to go live with him at his ranch?”

Eevee nodded happily: ”Vee!”

”It seems Eevee also likes you!” Mei smiled: ”So Mr. Naoki, please take care of this Eevee from now on.”

”Okay!” Naoki nodded firmly.

He squatted down, patted his shoulder, and said to Eevee: ”Come, get up here!”

The little Eevee looked at the spot and then happily jumped up, standing on Naoki’s shoulder, much like Ash’s Pikachu.

”Good, I still have a little task to do, and once it’s done, I’ll take you to the ranch.” Naoki turned his head to say.

His neck brushed against Eevee’s soft fur, feeling very happy.

Eevee naturally had no objection, obediently standing on Naoki’s shoulder as they went to the Wooloo’s habitat.

In a grass field surrounded by fences, a large group of fluffy white Wooloo were leisurely basking in the sun.

The Wooloo had black bodies wrapped in white wool, looking like large round white balls, very cute in appearance.

Mei: ”Mr. Naoki, how many Wooloo do you plan to purchase?”

Naoki thought briefly and then said: ”Six!”

If there were more, the field in the ranch would become a bit crowded.

”Got it.” Mei stepped forward, opened the gate, and let Naoki in to select six.

Wooloo bred and raised by humans are very docile and already accustomed to human presence, so they weren’t alarmed by the arrival of a stranger like Naoki.

Looking at the Wooloo, which all seemed like carbon copies, Naoki felt they were exactly the same.

So he didn’t bother choosing, and simply picked the first six in front.

After all, once they reached the ranch, he’d raise them healthy and round, it’s fine if they’re skinny now.

Mei nodded, then called out the six Wooloo: ”Do you need my help to take them to the ranch?”

Naoki smiled and shook his head: ”No need, I drove over.”

”Alright.” Mei nodded, leading the six Wooloo outside the shop and setting up a wooden board to link the ground and the truck bed.

Then, the six Wooloo automatically walked up the plank.

The six Wooloo completely filled the pickup truck’s truck bed.

Naoki paid the money.

Before leaving, Mei asked again: ”By the way, Mr. Naoki, do you know how to raise Wooloo?”

Naoki: ”Feed them with grass and berries, let them bask in the sun on the grass? And regularly shear their wool?”

Mei nodded: ”That’s right, Wooloo’s white wool continues to grow for life. Even if you shear it clean, it takes only three months to grow back.”

”But be careful, if their wool grows too long, they won’t be able to move. So, Mr. Naoki, keep an eye on the wool’s growth condition, and once it’s grown, shear it.”

Naoki knew this, he nodded and said: ”I’ll remember that.”

Zack over there also buys wool, and Wooloo’s wool is high-quality; clothes and carpets made from it are durable, and they’re popular everywhere.

Bidding goodbye to Mei, Naoki drove off with a truck full of Wooloo, heading back to the ranch.

This time out, neither Koraidon nor Cyclizar came along.
