Not Being a Trainer This Time

Not only the townspeople, but some passing trainers were also attracted by this giant tree and came over to investigate.

Naoki finally managed to send off a batch of trainers, only to welcome a group of students from Paldea Academy.

Naoki’s vision darkened, as he seemed to envision a continuous stream of visitors being drawn to the ranch, turning the World Tree into a horrifying tourist attraction.

No, it can’t go on like this!

That afternoon, Naoki found Giratina, asking if it could help move the World Tree into the Reversed World for cultivation.

Giratina didn’t have a clue what the World Tree was.

So, Naoki took it to the ranch and pointed to the tall tree, saying: ”See that? That’s it.”

With just one glance, Giratina was stunned.

For it felt a natural force and life aura as vast as a mountain, or an ocean from that tree.

The life level of that tree far surpassed all the flowers and trees in this world!

”What is that?” Giratina stared with wide eyes, its tone quite shocked.

”The World Tree.” Naoki answered honestly: ”I wanted to ask you to help it fly up into the sky earlier.”

Giratina fell silent. It gazed at the tall tree, nearly able to foresee what changes it would bring to this world once fully grown.

No, not just this world... Perhaps its Reversed World would also be influenced, evolving in a positive direction.

Giratina unusually fell into quiet contemplation, not saying a word, looking quite intimidating.

Naoki: ”?”

After a long time, Giratina finally spoke: ”Although I do not know whence it came, this tree will alter the rules of this world; you will be watched over by Him.”

Naoki was momentarily dumbfounded: ”Who?”

He’s just planting a tree, who would watch over him?

Soon, Naoki realized who Giratina was referring to with Him.

It’s the Creator God, Arceus!

Giratina: ”This world and all of us were created by Him.”

Although it is reluctant to acknowledge, this is the truth.

Time, space, emotion, wisdom, will, and anti-matter that supports the real world it represents...

All and everything, their origin is that existence.

Naoki was stunned, hardly believing: ”Arceus wouldn’t come to punish me just because I planted a tree, right?”

That would make the Creator God quite petty, Naoki thought sarcastically.

From Giratina’s words, it seems this World Tree, upon maturity, would trigger evolution across the planet.

Such as the birth of more natural resources, emergence of more Pokemon, etc.

Giratina didn’t know what Arceus would say about this matter, but the thought of being able to cause Him trouble made Giratina quite happy to help Naoki with this task.

It transformed into a pitch-black shadow beneath the World Tree.

The next second, a magical scene unfolded.

The shadow seemed like a lake, within which the World Tree gradually sank.

The Gogoats were startled upon seeing this, all stepping forward to attempt to stop it.

Seeing this, Naoki quickly restrained them: ”Don’t worry, the World Tree hasn’t disappeared, it’s just been moved to another place.”

Only then did the Gogoats pause.

Soon, the World Tree was completely swallowed by darkness, leaving behind an empty grassy land as if nothing had ever happened.

Naoki blinked, finding Giratina’s ability quite impressive.

”Come on, I’ll take you over there to have a look!”

Naoki led the three Gogoats into the Reversed World.

As soon as they arrived, they saw an enormous tree standing in a void space.

The World Tree at this moment was rooted to a giant Floating Island, where an upstream waterfall provided water for the World Tree.

The Gogoats affectionately ran forward, surrounding the World Tree, using Grass Energy to cultivate it.

Naoki thoughtfully observed the World Tree until it showed no signs of wilting or decay, then he felt relieved.

Upon reflection, it makes sense. If the World Tree needs to absorb nutrients from the soil to grow, then its scale might lead to the entire ranch being insufficient to nourish it.

The Gogoat’s Grass Energy, Calyrex’s Power of Fertility, just relying on these two points would be enough to provide sufficient energy and nutrients for the World Tree.

But there was still one thing that concerned Naoki.

That is, whether the Reversing Power in the Reversed World would cause the life-filled World Tree to mutate into a Tree of Destruction?

Perhaps sensing his thoughts, Giratina suddenly spoke from not far away:

”The life level of this tree far surpasses my understanding; even with my power, I cannot change its nature.”

Naoki understood immediately upon hearing this.

He fully relaxed, saying to Giratina:

”In that case, the World Tree will be fostered here with you, for up to two years. Right, usually keep the gate connecting the two worlds open, Gogoat and Calyrex will enter regularly to cultivate the World Tree, helping it grow.”

The Reversed World has soil and water to offer basic nutrients for the World Tree, sunlight is provided by the special crop Sunflower mutated from sunflower.

It is a special crop that can regularly produce sunlight to illuminate the surrounding area, just suitable for this situation.

Giratina felt quite complex inside, though it had an irritable temper, it fully committed to promises made.

Thus, it nodded, indicating it understood.

However, Naoki was still a little uneasy.

In order to provide a better growth environment for the World Tree, he returned to the ranch to find Dugtrio, having it cultivate the enormous Floating Island where the World Tree stood, to aid its growth.

In addition, Naoki transplanted a dozen sunflowers in, and fed Gogoat the Lucky Pudding to enhance their luck.

Naoki: ”Alright, now use your Grass Energy to cultivate these sunflowers, see if we can mutate them all into Sunflower!”

Upon learning that the sunlight produced by Sunflower could help provide nutrients for the World Tree, the Gogoats were instantly filled with vigor.

”Bleat!”

They released Grassy Terrain directly, a dazzling green glow enveloping the entire Floating Island, the World Tree and sunflowers were all covered within.

Perhaps it was heaven’s favor upon the Gogoats.

Soon, one of the sunflowers began to mutate, becoming a special sunflower emitting warm light.

[Sunflower: Special crop, originally a normal sunflower, underwent some magical changes after being cultivated by Calyrex, able to periodically produce sunlight, illuminating a certain area, providing temperature and light, the dishes made from its fruit will have the effect of ”Sun Stone.”]
