Not Being a Trainer This Time

Naoki suddenly understood Dragonite’s intention; it wanted to use its signature move!

”Not yet, the best timing hasn’t arrived!” Naoki quickly shook his head; they need to drain a bit more of the opponent’s stamina first!

Otherwise, Thunder won’t deal a fatal blow to Lance’s Dragonite, and they will surely face a counterattack.

Just like when Ultraman fights the monsters, he always drains their energy before using the finishing move.

You have to save the ultimate move for last!

For now, Naoki kept calm: ”Thunderbolt!”

Even though Dragonite didn’t understand why Naoki wouldn’t let it use Rain Dance, it obediently followed the command, harnessing the Electric Type Energy on its body, unleashing a powerful current, aiming at Lance’s Dragonite.

Facing the overwhelming current, Lance and Dragonite’s expressions remained unchanged.

”Dragon Dance!” Lance’s voice was steady.

”Roar—”

The Dragonite responded, its determined eyes fixed on the incoming current, and then suddenly started spinning rapidly on the spot.

Its spinning speed was so fast that the overwhelming current was deflected away.

Watching this scene, the spectators were slightly astonished.

”Blocked it!”

”Can Dragon Dance be used like this?”

Everything unfolding in the battle area was reflected in Professor Oak’s eyes, he murmured: ”If this is the full strength of that Dragonite, then it’s in danger...”

”Using Dragon Dance to deflect energy-based move attacks?” Naoki suddenly recalled that this technique seemed to have appeared in the anime.

Thunderbolt ended, as did Dragon Dance.

Lance gazed at the other side’s Dragonite, gasping for breath, covered in wounds, and squinted slightly: ”It’s time to end this, Dragonite, unleash Outrage Burst!”

”Roar—”

Upon receiving the command, Dragonite suddenly erupted with an incredibly terrifying aura, its scales bristled sharply, then charged at its opponent.

Seeing this, Naoki’s heart set off warning bells instantly, ”Beware of dodging! Fly up! Agility!”

Dragonite also sensed the danger, not daring to slack off, and exerted all its strength, using the Agility honed during delivery duties to soar into the sky.

Lance’s Dragonite followed closely behind, its attacks devoid of any pattern, but every punch, every collision, was imbued with an unstoppable force.

That is Outrage, a Dragon Type move with a power of 120, and when enhanced by Dragon Dance, once hit, combined with Type Matchups, Dragonite was bound to lose its ability to battle.

Right now, Naoki could only pin his hopes on Dragonite.

As long as it withstands this attack, then that Dragonite will fall into the negative state caused by the excessive use of Outrage.

Then it’s the perfect chance for them to turn the tide!

High in the sky, above the manor, two Dragon Type Pokemon were engaged in a high-speed chase.

Naoki watched the scene, his heart in his mouth.

”Come on, Dragonite!”

The airflow surged around Dragonite, its speed maxed out, barely widening the gap with the Dragonite behind.

As time ticked by, everyone attending the banquet was watching the battle between the two Pokemon in the sky.

A storm started brewing.

Suddenly, high in the sky, the wind raged, milky-white air currents surged, a terrifying hurricane was brewing.

Some noblewomen had their hats blown away by the wind, hurriedly covering their expensive evening gowns.

”Is that... Hurricane?”

Some trainers noticed the changing surroundings, their voices filled with shock and confusion.

”But how is it possible?! Why is that Dragonite’s Hurricane so exaggerated!”

Lance’s Dragonite was using Outrage, which meant that for a while it would only use Outrage.

Which meant the Dragonite using Hurricane must be the one being chased!

Hurricane slightly hindered Lance’s Dragonite’s pursuit.

Naoki took a moment to glance at Lance across, finding Lance’s face equally solemn, seemingly not expecting the situation to unfold like this.

That Dragonite’s stamina, speed, and endurance... are too exaggerated!

Naoki guessed Lance’s thoughts, grinning widely.

Looks like having Dragonite deliver milk every day paid off after all!

High in the sky, the erect scales on Lance’s Dragonite slowly lowered.

Dragonite successfully dragged out the duration of Outrage, flying swiftly utilizing the favorable air currents, occasionally glancing back at its opponent.

This action was akin to taunting Lance’s Dragonite, which was already slightly embarrassed and angry after chasing for so long.

Angrily, it unleashed Extreme Speed at its front, crashing into Dragonite.

Dragonite’s body stumbled from the impact, plummeting toward the ground.

But luckily, just before hitting the ground, it managed to stabilize itself.

Lance’s Dragonite landed in front of Lance right after.

Its body was marked by numerous scars from the fierce air currents earlier, looking quite battered.

Both Dragonites were panting heavily, staring at each other across the battlefield, seemingly back to the beginning of the match.

Watching this, Naoki’s eyes sparkled.

It’s almost time!

Next, it’s time to lure Lance out for the next move!

Naoki shouted: ”Dragonite, very tired, right? Hang in there a bit longer!”
