Not Being a Trainer This Time

Naoki looked on in amazement at the Latias following beside Zapdos.

What’s going on? Is this Latias a new friend invited back by the Heroic Expedition Team?

As everyone knows, the legendary Pokemon Latias and Latios have tribes, they are not unique.

The Johto Region has them, and so does the Hoenn Region.

So the question is, where is this Latias from?

As Naoki looked at Latias, Latias was also curiously observing this human.

Is this the Naoki that Mew and Teddiursa mentioned?

At that moment, Zapdos, who landed in the pasture, lowered its head and used its beak to take a photo from the bag and handed it to Naoki.

Naoki reached out, took it, and upon glancing at it, immediately understood the origin of this Latias.

It is the Latias from the movie ”Guardians of the Water City, Latias and Latios”!

”Are Mew and Teddiursa still traveling in the Johto Region?” This thought popped into Naoki’s mind.

Because the setting of this movie is in the Johto Region, in a water town called Alto Mare.

Naoki remembered the plot of that movie.

Two female thieves captured Latios to steal the precious Soul Dew of Water City.

In the end, their dirty hearts contaminated the pure Soul Dew, triggering a terrifying disaster that nearly submerged the entire city.

At the critical moment, Latios, as the elder brother, sacrificed himself, transforming into a new Soul Dew to protect the island.

Naoki looked at the photo in his hand.

The background in the photo exudes a mysterious aura, with trees, grass, and a beautiful fountain.

Mew and Teddiursa stood in the center of the photo, with the taller Zapdos behind them.

Latias and Latios poked their heads from the left and right sides, joining in for the shot.

The Heroic Expedition Team participated in this movie, though it’s unclear what role they played in it, whether they stopped the disaster or not…

Out of curiosity, Naoki invited the two Pokemon into the living room to let them rest for a while and offered them juice and snacks.

Meanwhile, Naoki ate a piece of Translation Nuts Cake.

He looked at Latias, whose eyes were filled with curiosity, and then asked, ”Is your brother… Latios okay?”

Upon hearing this, Latias was momentarily dazed, then showed a look of surprise: ”Huh?” (How do you know about my brother?)

Naoki smiled and said, ”I not only know, I also know that you are the Guardians of Alto Mare, always protecting the Soul Dew in the secret garden.”

The sense of wonder in Latias’s eyes was now impossible to conceal: ”Huh!” (Amazing!)

So this is Naoki? Just as Mew and Teddiursa said, a human who knows a lot!

”Is Latios alright?” Naoki smiled and continued to ask.

Latias was full of confusion, seemingly not understanding Naoki’s meaning, but after thinking, it said: ”Huh? Huh!” (Of course my brother is alright. He should be sleeping in the big tree in the secret garden now!)

I see… Naoki wondered if the plot had happened or not, so he asked again: ”Were the bad guys caught?”

Bad guys, Latias immediately recalled the two humans who wanted to steal the Soul Dew.

It nodded repeatedly, very curious: ”Huh! Huh?” (They were caught! Ben Grey handed them over to Officer Jenny, but how do you know about it, Naoki?)

”That’s my secret!” Naoki maintained the mystery.

Latias instantly felt this human was even more formidable!

Naoki, looking at the photo, realized that the Heroic Expedition Team must have changed the plot by accident.

The Latios that was supposed to sacrifice itself to protect the island did not die and survived.

Heroic… truly worthy of being the Heroic Expedition Team!

Naoki looked at the yet unaware Latias, a smile appearing on his face.

Latias didn’t understand Naoki’s intention, but seeing how he asked so many questions about its brother, it thought Naoki really liked its brother.

Latias, understandingly, said: ”Huh!” (Brother is guarding the city! He can’t leave there, but if you want to see him, Naoki, you can go to Alto Mare!)

”No need.” Naoki shook his head with a smile: ”I’m relieved just knowing he’s safe, you are worthy Guardians.”

Latias blinked in confusion, feeling it started to not quite understand the meaning of Naoki’s words.

Naoki didn’t say much either, he stood up, placed this commemorative photo into a frame and put it away, then turned and said:

”Zapdos, the World Tree should be habitable now, do you want to take a look?”

”Chirp!” (I saw it!)

Zapdos, when it was in the sky, saw the World Tree, which had grown quite a bit.

Though it hadn’t reached the level Teddiursa and Mew mentioned, the current World Tree could already accommodate it.

”Do you want to stay?” Naoki asked.

Zapdos shook its head: ”Chirp!” (Not for now, I want to be with Teddiursa and the others!)

”Alright.” Naoki respected Zapdos’s choice.

Meanwhile, Latias was filled with intense curiosity about the World Tree.
