Not Being a Trainer This Time

”Hello, I’m Naoki, I’ve heard a lot about you.”

Naoki walked up to Lance and greeted him.

The surprise on Lance’s face slowly faded, and he politely replied, ”Hello.”

The short Nemona jumped up excitedly, shouting, ”Battle! Battle! Battle!”

Lance looked at Nemona, seeing the little girl so enthusiastic, he couldn’t help but ask with a smile, ”Do you also like Pokemon battles?”

Nemona nodded, grinning broadly, showing her big white teeth: ”That’s right! I can’t battle you just yet, but Mr. Naoki will battle you for me!”

The thought of a Champion Level battle is enough to get anyone’s blood pumping!

Lance smiled and then looked at Naoki, asking in a casual tone, ”Would you like to battle me?”

”May I?” Naoki nodded reservedly, Lance didn’t seem as serious or unapproachable as he appeared.

”Of course you can.” Lance’s gaze turned to the red Pokemon beside Naoki, ”Is it also a Dragon Type Pokemon?”

Born into a Dragon Master family, he had a unique intuition for Dragon Type Pokemon.

Naoki: ”That’s right, it’s called Koraidon.”

Lance: ”I knew it, it must be a very strong Pokemon, so, Dragon Emissary Lance, now accepts your challenge!”

”I’ll be the referee!” Nemona immediately raised her small hand high and eagerly led the way for the two.

Naoki couldn’t help but smile, and then followed Nemona with Lance to the previous battle area.

A trainer’s battle is like this, even if two strangers have never met before, as long as they reveal their identity as trainers, they can engage in an exciting Pokemon battle at any time.

Nemona took the small flag from the hand of a waiter and then stood in the center of the battlefield, mimicking a referee’s tone:

”Next up is a Pokemon battle between Dragon Elite Lance from the Kanto Region and Mr. Naoki from the Paldea Region!”

”The rules for this battle are 6v6, with each person limited to using six Pokemon. The battle ends when all Pokemon on either side lose their ability to fight!”

Hearing the noise from this side, the surrounding trainers, who had been chatting away, gathered around.

So when Alder arrived with Boss Clay and Nikar, they saw Naoki already standing on the battlefield with Lance.

Alder was a bit surprised: ”Oh? It’s already starting?”

Boss Clay looked at the red-haired youth with interest: ”That’s the Champion from the Kanto Region, Lance, right?”

Nikar looked at the lively Nemona jumping around the field like a Rillaboom with helplessness: ”That girl... She’s so lively.”

Alder didn’t forget the main matter, he pointed at Naoki across from Lance, and said to the two:

”Look, that’s him, Naoki. It’s thanks to him that my Volcarona was able to receive timely treatment.”

Upon hearing this, the two cast curious gazes in that direction.

They then saw the tall, steadfast, and handsome black-haired youth alongside his red Pokemon.

Nikar doesn’t understand Pokemon battles; he’s only focused on the electronic device called a phone.

But Boss Clay showed a look of interest, a trainer praised by Alder... this person is unusual!

On the field, after Nemona finished introducing the match rules, she suddenly shifted topics and excitedly said to Lance:

”Mr. Lance, don’t underestimate him! And don’t take the match lightly just because Mr. Naoki isn’t well-known! Mr. Naoki, like you, is very skilled with Dragon Type Pokemon! He has lots and lots of Dragonites on his ranch too!”

Naoki: ”...” The social butterfly Nemona nearly exposed everything about him.

Hearing this, Lance showed an expression of surprise. He looked at Naoki opposite him, his eyes grew serious, and he said to Nemona:

”Thank you for the reminder. I will give it my all.”

”Hehe!” Nemona smartly smiled and then formally announced: ”The first match has officially begun!”

Originally, Naoki just wanted to compare Dragonite with Lance: ”...”

But now, it seems that’s not going to work!

This clever little Nemona surely wants to see more exciting Elite Level and Champion Level Pokemon battles, so she set the rules to 6v6.

Naoki sighed silently.

But, it doesn’t matter!

Since he’s here, he might as well have a great battle! Using his past life experiences and the efforts of his Pokemon!

Thinking of this, Naoki’s eyes slowly became determined.

In the first match, Lance may not send out his ace Pokemon, Dragonite.

Naoki wasn’t sure which Pokemon Lance had, so he thought for a moment and decided to let Pawmot go up first to test the waters.

Both nearly simultaneously threw out their Poke Balls.

Two beams of white light flashed simultaneously, a large, fierce-looking Gyarados appeared on the battlefield.

And on the left side, there was a cute-looking Pawmot with adorable pink fur, holding a small unassuming hammer, and wearing a Red Cloak.

Seeing this scene, the surrounding trainers couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise.
