Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 605: Chapter 332: The Five Great Saltstone Titans (Part 3)

One of the Garganacl stepped forward with heavy, powerful strides, crouched slightly, extended its arm, and invited Naoki.

Naoki rarely felt a bit embarrassed.

After evolving, the Garganacl’s height noticeably exceeded two and a half meters. Although it was much taller than him, letting a 1.8-meter-tall man like him sit up there was quite awkward.

However, the Garganacl didn’t think much about it.

Seeing Naoki not getting up, it scratched its head in confusion, then extended another arm, lifting Naoki up like a chick, and placed him on its shoulder.

Naoki: ”...”

”Boom～” The Garganacl let out a happy rumbling sound.

The surrounding Pokemon saw this scene and gathered around.

Naoki turned his head to see that Alcremie had already climbed onto another Garganacl, standing on top of its head like a captain commanding a warship, issuing an order for full attack.

”Mama!”

Alcremie raised its finger with fighting spirit.

Immediately, a purple light blade formed in its hand and flew forward.

Faintly, the space around the purple light blade was torn apart by its powerful energy.

”Boom!”

A loud crash, the light blade made a big pit in the ground.

”Mama!” Alcremie became panicked and flustered.

Naoki: ”...Spacial Rend isn’t used like that!”

Naoki glanced over and found Farfetch’d hadn’t come over. It was still diligently practicing moves by the wooden dummy.

Thankfully, Farfetch’d didn’t see this move Spacial Rend, or else he wouldn’t know how to explain.

After playing around, Naoki jumped off the Garganacl, ready to check Keri’s progress.

However, other Garganacl surrounded him again, they also wanted Naoki to sit on them.

”...”

Naoki helplessly rode on each one in turn.

Finally, every Garganacl was happy.

”Alright, you all go play! I have things to do.” Naoki said.

Nearing noon, the heating system renovation inside the house was almost complete.

When Naoki entered the house, Keri was working on the final task — the kitchen renovation.

They emptied a cabinet and rebuilt it into a stove, connecting its interior to the heating system.

”Alright, it’s done!” Keri stood up and dusted off her hands.

Naoki walked up and looked around, sure enough, he found heating pipes installed everywhere in the house.

The pipes connected all parts of the house, from the living room’s fireplace to the kitchen, bedroom, and every room on the second floor, covering almost all areas.

Almost identical to the animation named ”The Slugma-Powered Home.”

Keri smiled and asked, ”Are you satisfied?”

Naoki nodded with satisfaction, so now, Slugma could move freely inside the house.

”I didn’t dismantle the stove over there because if I did, and Slugma got sick, you wouldn’t be able to cook dinner.”

Keri pointed to the stove below and said, ”Here I installed special heat-conducting materials that can efficiently convey Slugma’s temperature upwards. As long as Slugma is underneath, you can safely start cooking.”

”What about when summer comes?” Naoki asked.

In summer, if Slugma were still in the heating system, they’d burn up...

Keri replied with a smile, ”The materials of the heating system can effectively insulate temperature. In summer, you can close the vent, preventing warm air from entering the room, hence keeping the temperature down.”

”That’s a relief.” Naoki sighed.

Keri: ”If there’s nothing else, shall I leave?”

”Alright, thank you for your hard work!” Naoki responded, paid Keri for the project, and saw them off the ranch.

Returning to the house, he discovered the Slugma that was originally in the fireplace was now autonomously exploring the pipes.

Slugma crawled with curiosity, its movements slow, like magma, its body emitted a fiery glow, warming the room through the heating vents.

Soon, the house was cozy and warm.

Naoki folded his arms, smiling as he watched the scene.

He saw Slugma climb to the second floor, entered his bedroom, then returned to the fireplace, gradually familiarizing itself with each place.

When it crawled over to the kitchen, Naoki squatted down, tapping the stove to call Slugma: ”Slugma, come over here!”

”Goo?”

Hearing the sound, Slugma made a turn and slowly crawled over.

Naoki fed two Berries to Slugma, laughed, and said: ”Eat, eat! You can live here comfortably from now on!”

”Woo～”

Slugma ate the Berries happily, its body emitting a ”boom boom” sound.

A puff of white smoke instantly ventured out through the chimney.

Outside, Pawmot heard the sound, saw the white smoke, and knew Slugma was happy now.

It immediately flew back to the living room, came to Naoki’s side, took out its cherished Berry and Poffin, and handed them to Slugma in front.

”Bamor!”

Slugma slowly began to eat.

Seeing this, Pawmot was extremely happy.

Now it too had its own Slugma-Powered Home!
