Chapter 619: Chapter 337: The Battle Between Glastrier and Spectrier (Part 3)

With a neigh from Spectrier’s mouth, it indicated it understood.

At this point, the moves mastered by Spectrier appeared in Naoki’s mind.

Double Kick, Hex, Stomp, Confuse Ray, Haze, Shadow Ball, Agility, Double-Edge, Disable, Bulldoze, Night Shade, Poltergeist...

”Double Kick can fend off approaching opponents, Confuse Ray can disrupt them, Bulldoze can lower nearby Pokemon’s speed, Haze can clear buffs on Pokemon.” Naoki contemplated.

Coupled with Spectrier’s running speed, he felt his chance of winning was quite high.

Time ticked by; Naoki and Spectrier trained together for an afternoon. By the end, he led Spectrier back to the stable.

As he was about to leave, Naoki found the basket of icy carrots had been eaten entirely by Glastrier.

Still upset, Glastrier kept snorting, causing a ruckus in the stable.

So Naoki brought another basket of icy carrots to appease Glastrier.

”This guy really is...”

Naoki momentarily didn’t know what to say.

He sighed helplessly and turned back to the living room.

After dinner, Naoki finished making a berry platter for Farfetch’d and sat with Alder on the sofa watching TV.

Speaking of Farfetch’d, it was quite unlucky; a long time had passed, and it constantly tried to understand moves, only to forget them again.

The unluckiest time, it even lost all its moves, becoming a ”blank slate” Farfetch’d.

Yet the harsher this became, the more Farfetch’d refused to give up.

Every day after finishing its berry platter, it carried its leek over to the wooden training dummy and began practicing, hitting the dummy now and again.

Today, it went there to train again.

Naoki didn’t know when this path for Farfetch’d would finally end.

Just as he worried about Farfetch’d, Ogerpon excitedly ran over with bright eyes.

Upon hearing Naoki was going to town tomorrow to participate in an event, Ogerpon nervously yet eagerly looked at him: ”Bonnie?”

Naoki came back to his senses, naturally understanding Ogerpon’s thoughts, and smiled while nodding: ”Of course, you can go too.”

”Bonnie!” Ogerpon was extremely happy.

Naoki: ”I’m going to participate in the tournament with Spectrier, so you stick close to Koraidon. Mr. Alder, please do take care of them at that time.”

Alder patted his chest assuredly: ”Don’t worry! By the way, is Ogerpon also a Paldea Region Pokemon?”

”No.” Naoki shook his head: ”I encountered Ogerpon in Kitakami. It wasn’t happy living there, so I brought it back.”

”There really are many kinds of Pokemon living in this world!” Alder exclaimed.

After speaking, Alder took Volcarona and the others to follow the Indeedee Sibling into the Pokemon Tavern to drink.

Meanwhile, Naoki returned to his room, sat at the desk, and began writing plans for smartphones in his notebook.

In his past life, he worked at a gaming company and had some exposure to this type of content.

So in order to play with smartphones soon, Naoki drew his impression of Phone Rotom on paper.

He marked the locations for touchscreens, cameras, and other structures, as well as the prospects of smartphones and the features they should have.

Accompanied by the development of the times, those old-fashioned Pokedexes are destined to face elimination.

Moreover, compared to the Pokedex, the all-purpose Rotom Phone is more suited for trainers on their travels.

Whether it’s the Pokedex function included, the camera feature, the online forum function, navigation function, or communication function, all are things the traditional Pokedex can’t accomplish.

Ten years later, the internet will connect the entire Pokemon World, allowing trainers from the Paldea Region to communicate with trainers far in the Sinnoh Region.
