Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 529: Chapter 305: Special Potato Stew, Leon Is Riding Here (4k)

”Hiss!”

Naoki instantly drew in a sharp breath.

To be able to control Grassy Terrain to affect only you and not your opponent, what does this mean?

It means that if the opponent’s strength is not up to par, the damage dealt may not even match the amount restored to Gogoat and the others by Grassy Terrain!

Truly, the blows dealt are not as much as the recovery!

What shocked Naoki even more was that without a word, his three Gogoat had achieved such mastery over Grass Type Energy?

Was it because of the feedback from the World Tree, greatly enhancing their affinity with Grass Type Energy, or was it the enhancement brought about by the previous Leaf Cake?

Or perhaps, was it a mutation caused by combining the two with the Grassy Seed?

Whatever the case, it was truly astonishing.

This Gogoat was terrifying!

And it wasn’t just one.

Naoki glanced at the other two Gogoat and asked, ”Can you do it too?”

”Meh~!”

The two Gogoat gave a definite answer.

”Amazing!” Naoki exclaimed.

With things as they were progressing, could anyone actually pass the Grass Trial?

With the infinite healing from Grassy Terrain, the Super Vinewhip thick as a python that could attack or create obstacles to interfere with the opponent, not to mention the ultimate move like Grass Sacred Sword.

In addition, combining Synthesis with Growth to enhance attack and special attack, Naoki didn’t know how to lose under the League’s battle rules.

The only situation he could lose would be if the opponent possessed Pokemon of the same level that had a type advantage over Gogoat.

Those new trainers just entering Paldea Academy could never pass.

So, what if an Elite or Champion-level Trainer came to challenge?

Unfortunately, there weren’t any Elite or Champion-level trainers visiting the farm yet.

Geeta just barely tasted the trial, and as for Rika, she had no intention to challenge it and hurried back to the League Headquarters to work overtime.

Of course, perhaps this was because the workload given by the Paldea League was too busy.

Flutter Mane, exhausted, fell asleep, and Naoki returned its Poke Ball to the room.

For Ghost Type Pokemon like this, being active at night and dormant during the day was their lifestyle, which would be hard to change in the short term.

However, this was only Flutter Mane’s second day at the farm. They still had plenty of time to gradually adjust to each other.

In the room, Calyrex was happily watching TV.

In front of it were a glass of Berry Juice and some sweet treats, looking very leisurely and at ease.

Seeing this, Naoki was momentarily speechless.

It seemed that Calyrex was becoming a laid-back Pokemon under his care.

But on second thought, Calyrex must have been quite lonely during its days wandering the Crown Tundra, right?

Naoki was very pleased that Calyrex could find new hobbies on the farm, so it wouldn’t feel bored or lonely and could amuse itself by watching TV.

Caring for the lonely elderly is everyone’s responsibility!

Thinking of this, Naoki smiled slightly, then headed to the fields to check on the crops’ growth.

Indeed, the effect of the Leaf Cake in shortening the crop lifecycle was not a joke.

In just a short half-month, some crops were already mature.

Seeing the potato stems and leaves beginning to yellow and the potatoes poking their heads out of the soft soil, Naoki knew this plot could be harvested.

He immediately brought over a small cart to start harvesting these potatoes.

Seeing this, the Pawmot with its red cape flew over wanting to help.

It landed beside a potato, clutching the stem with its small paws, attempting to pull it out.

However, its strength was too much, and instead of succeeding, it snapped the exposed stem.

”Bamow?”

Pawmot looked puzzled.

”That’s not how you pull it out,” Naoki chuckled as he stepped forward, using a hoe to dig around the soil of the potato plot and then dig out the roots.

Under Naoki’s operation, a string of connected, intact potatoes was dug out from the soil.

After shaking off the excess dirt and roots from the potatoes, only a string of potatoes of varying sizes remained.

Witnessing this process, a small light bulb lit up over Pawmot’s head.

”Bamow!” It understood!

Just as Pawmot was about to use its paws to dig out the potatoes, Naoki stopped it.

”I can handle this; you go play with Glaceon and the others!”

As he spoke, Naoki looked up at the distant grassland, seeing Alcremie once again riding the Naclstack for fun.

Listening to the exclamations coming from the direction, Glaceon and Dolliv had also been hoisted onto the Naclstack’s back.

”Go on!” Naoki patted Pawmot’s little head with his clean hand.

He thought about how cleaning Pawmot’s fluffy pink fur from dirt would be too troublesome.

”Bamow~”

Pawmot gleefully ran off.

Watching the Pokemon playing on the grassland, Naoki couldn’t help but wear a smile.

Seeing everyone so happy living here, his heart was filled with motivation.

This is what life is all about!

Though it lacks the thrilling adventures and those touching moments of Pokemon evolving to protect their Trainer like in Ash’s experiences.
