Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 521: Chapter 301: The Best Koraidon in the World

”Do you dislike that Miraidon?”

In the medical room, Koraidon lay on the ground, showing the scars on its body caused by Miraidon’s lightning.

The on-duty doctor handed over the Super Potion for treating electrical burns. Naoki reached out to take it, opened the cap, and sprayed it on Koraidon’s wounds.

Koraidon drooped its head, looking dispirited after just being scolded by Naoki.

”Ah—gah ss...”

Seeing Koraidon like this, Naoki’s heart softened, and he sighed helplessly:

”Alright then, since you don’t like it, I’ll reject Professor Turo’s plan.”

”Ah—gah ss?” Koraidon’s eyes lit up instantly.

”Really.” Naoki nodded: ”Were you just worried that Miraidon would harm me, so you stood in front of it?”

Koraidon honestly nodded its big head.

”I see...” Naoki reached out to touch Koraidon’s face, apologizing: ”Sorry, I misunderstood you. I shouldn’t have scolded you just now.”

Koraidon nuzzled Naoki’s palm, its expression visibly brightening.

”Ah—gah ss!” It doesn’t mind!

Naoki felt touched, sitting on the floor hugging Koraidon’s head, letting it lean against him.

Koraidon—this is his Koraidon, the best Koraidon in the world.

Things that Koraidon doesn’t like, he won’t do.

At this moment, Naoki completely abandoned the idea of contacting Miraidon.

He looked at Flutter Mane watching silently not far away, and asked:

”Koraidon, is this your friend you met before?”

Koraidon turned to look at Flutter Mane, happily nodding its big head: ”Ah—ga!”

Naoki waved to Flutter Mane: ”Hello, Flutter Mane, I’m Naoki, nice to meet you for the first time!”

Flutter Mane knew this human’s name, and at this moment, watching the happy Koraidon and the human, it couldn’t help but smile.

Seeing this, Naoki’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Flutter Mane... is smiling?

Perhaps sensing his surprised gaze, Flutter Mane’s smile vanished instantly, and it turned, gradually sinking into the shadows.

Naoki asked Koraidon in shock: ”Did it leave?”

Koraidon shook its head: ”Ah—ga!”

No, Flutter Mane agreed to live together in the garden! So it will silently tag along!

”That’s good.” Naoki breathed a sigh of relief: ”Since we’ve successfully found Flutter Mane, let’s leave later!”

With this, they can return to the garden before nightfall.

Koraidon happily agreed.

Meanwhile, in the neighboring research institute.

Professor Sada and Professor Turo were discussing the reason for Miraidon’s loss of control.

”Even if it’s a Pokemon from the future, it still has territorial instincts within its body, and they will fight with creatures that invade their territory. Could this instinct be the reason for Miraidon’s loss of control?” Professor Sada speculated.

Koraidon suddenly barged in, putting Miraidon on high alert.

At such times, if Koraidon showed even a bit of hostility, Miraidon would instantly release lightning to drive away the opponent.

And Koraidon indeed did so.

It seems to have mistaken that Miraidon was harming Naoki, which is why the two Pokemon fought each other.

Thinking of this, Professor Turo frowned: ”You shouldn’t have brought Koraidon over.”

There is not only Miraidon but also Koraidon in the research institute, so to prevent conflict between the two Pokemon, they had intentionally kept them separated.

Being criticized like this, Professor Sada felt a bit agitated: ”That Koraidon followed Naoki’s scent here by itself, and if I didn’t open the door for it, it would have smashed the door on its own, potentially destroying the entire Eco Garden.”

Professor Turo: ”...”

He paused for a moment, then spoke: ”I was careless.”

Seeing his wife’s anger yet undiminished, Professor Turo continued: ”I’ll go sleep in the study tonight.”

Professor Sada suddenly felt somewhat exasperated.

She turned around, heading out while saying: ”Naoki should be almost done.”

Professor Turo immediately followed.

As the two arrived at the medical room, Naoki just happened to be coming out with Koraidon.

Seeing the two professors, Naoki apologized for Koraidon’s provocation: ”Sorry, Professors.”

”This was our oversight, you don’t need to apologize.” Professor Sada shook her head.

Naoki then turned his gaze to Professor Turo: ”Professor, let’s forget about the contact with Miraidon!”

Professor Turo was slightly taken aback, then asked: ”Did something happen?”

Naoki shook his head: ”Because Koraidon doesn’t like it, having one Koraidon is enough for me.”

Professor Turo felt regretful: ”Alright, then I’ll think about it myself later.”

Naoki nodded, then rode on Koraidon: ”Well, it’s getting late, we should return to the garden. We’ll visit again if there’s an opportunity.”

”Alright.” Professor Sada nodded slightly: ”Goodbye Naoki, goodbye, Koraidon!”

”Ah—gah ss!”

Koraidon responded, then suddenly unfolded its wings, carrying Naoki, flying straight into the sky.

The surroundings rapidly fell away.

Naoki tightly hugged Koraidon’s neck while looking down, and sure enough saw Flutter Mane catching up at high speed from below.

Seeing this, Naoki suddenly felt curious.

Would this pair of good friends hunt together in ancient times?

If they hunted together, according to modern Pokemon terminology, wouldn’t they be engaging in Double Battles?

Koraidon’s ability ”Scarlet Pulse” could just trigger Flutter Mane’s ability ”Ancient Activation.”

Considering the power Koraidon has shown, wouldn’t they be invincible in ancient times?

Even other wild Koraidons wouldn’t be a match for them.

Because Flutter Mane’s Ghost and Fairy Type counter Koraidon’s Fighting and Dragon Type.

Thinking about this, Naoki couldn’t help but wonder how these two Pokemon became friends.

Gradually, Koraidon passed through the layers of clouds, flying out of the Paldea Giant Pit.

Immediately, the vast Paldea land spread out before them like a painting.

Koraidon deliberately slowed down, waiting for Flutter Mane to catch up.

Flutter Mane flew while looking down at the scenery below in a daze.

This place... is completely different from where it used to live!

Here there are no tall ancient trees, deep vines, nor giant fern plants.

Instead, there’s just an expansive open view, stretching endlessly.

Naoki noticed Flutter Mane’s expression and smiled at it:

”Welcome to our era, Flutter Mane.”
