Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 501: Chapter 291: Abundant Shrine, Mysterious Visitor from Afar (4k)

When Zack arrived at the pasture with the milk inspection report, Naoki was grooming the fur of Glaceon and Pawmot.

In the spring grass, a lot of burdocks had grown. When the long-haired Pokemon rolled around in the grass, the burdocks would stick to their fur.

Some burdocks would stick to areas they couldn’t reach themselves, so they had to return pitifully to find Naoki to help them remove it.

After plucking the last burdock from Pawmot’s occiput, Naoki patted its head: ”Alright, go play!”

”Pawmo~”

Pawmot happily ran off.

Naoki then stood up and looked at Zack, asking: ”How did it go?”

Zack was extremely excited: ”It exceeded my imagination! This milk contains a massive amount of nutrients beneficial to the body, and besides that, it possesses an unknown energy that can quickly restore stamina and heal injuries!”

Unknown energy? Naoki was slightly stunned, then speculated in his heart: ”Could it be the Natural Energy mentioned by Calyrex? Or the Grass Type Energy from Gogoat?”

”Moreover, I visited the Pokemon Center again.”

Zack narrated in detail to Naoki how an injured, unconscious Wattrel recovered after drinking this milk, and then excitedly added:

”This is truly astonishing! Even the Full Restore developed by the Pokemon Center doesn’t have this effect!”

”I see...” Compared to Zack, Naoki was much calmer, as he already knew about the milk’s effects, which rival the rare item, Ho-oh’s Holy Ash.

Zack: ”After discussing with Porto Marinada Market, we’ve decided to set the price at thirty thousand League Coins per bottle for this milk! What do you think?”

Thirty... thirty thousand per bottle?

With Gogoat’s production, wouldn’t he be able to earn a million League Coins in one go?

Naoki was slightly surprised, but upon reflection, in the game the Holy Ash sells for only 50,000 League Coins, even under the advertising of Ho-oh.

This price is just right; if it’s too expensive those in need might not afford it.

After all, his intention is simply to save trainers and Pokemon like Alder and Volcarona, thus reducing tragedies in the world.

He just wasn’t sure if Alder’s Volcarona had passed away by this time, if not, perhaps he still could save it.

Thinking of this, Naoki nodded in agreement to the price: ”Alright.”

Zack’s eyes lit up: ”Then it’s settled! I’ll take today’s goods!”

He specifically brought enough money this time, and after careful calculation and weighing, Zack paid Naoki for the milk and other rock salt, then drove off contentedly from the pasture with his large truck.

With nearly a million suddenly in the account, Naoki looked at the pile of large-denomination bills in front of him, feeling a surge of emotion.

So much money!

Unfortunately, the pasture had already officially gotten on track, and there was basically nowhere to spend it now.

”Never mind, I’ll save it for now! I can look for somewhere selling villas in the future, this way I can occasionally bring Koraidon and them on vacation.” Naoki thought.

Then, he took out his travel backpack from home, packed the money inside, and rode Koraidon to Porto Marinada Town to deposit the money in the bank.

By the time they returned to the pasture, the sky had gradually darkened outside.

As the temperature slowly warmed up, these Pokemon wouldn’t just stay home, nestling in front of the fireplace for warmth.

Even after dark, they were still outside running around playing.

Naoki stood under the eaves, looking helplessly at this scene. He turned back to the room, thinking about Alder and Volcarona, and then used the video phone to contact Geeta.

Maybe Geeta, the Chief Champion of the Paldea League, would know something about champions of other regions.

As the call connected, Geeta’s face appeared on the screen.

”Oh? It’s Naoki? What’s up? Have you finally decided to come work at the Paldea League?” Geeta asked with a smile.

Naoki: ”...”

Perhaps his expression was too obviously speechless, Geeta couldn’t help but smile: ”Alright, let’s not talk about that. What’s the reason for contacting me this time?”

Naoki nodded and asked: ”By the way, do you know the champions of other regions?”

”Champions of other regions?” Upon hearing this, Geeta was slightly surprised, though she works at the League, communications with other regions are not frequent.

And each region is managed and maintained by its own Pokemon League, other regional Pokemon Leagues won’t intervene casually.

Therefore, her understanding of champions from other regions is merely on a namesake level.

Thinking of this, Geeta nodded: ”I know some, but not many, like Champion Diantha of the Kalos Region, she is also a very famous actress!”

”Then there’s Alder from the Unova Region, Cynthia from the Sinnoh Region, Leon from the Galar Region, beyond that I’m not sure, because those places are too far from Paldea.”

Saying this, Geeta suddenly remembered something: ”Oh right, the strongest champion of the Galar Region, Leon, had recently submitted a visit request to Paldea, not sure why he hasn’t arrived yet.”
