Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 519: Chapter 299: Koraidon, Flutter Mane, and Miraidon

In the vast and silent corridor, Flutter Mane silently watched Koraidon across from it.

Seeing Flutter Mane, Koraidon’s face lit up with a joyful expression.

”Aga-si!”

Looking at Koraidon like this, Flutter Mane couldn’t help but recall the Koraidon from deep in its memory, always covered in scars.

In the past, they had traversed many places together.

To find that important person, it followed this Koraidon, weaving through the tall, dense Ancient Tree Forests, leaping off bottomless cliffs, and passing through deep, dark mysterious caves.

At that time, the Koraidon in its memory never smiled; no matter the situation, it always wore a sad expression.

Koraidon had told it many things, such as how it came from a ranch, living with many Pokemon there.

Koraidon also said that it was very scared, afraid it would never find Naoki again, afraid it would never be able to go home.

And now, seeing the happy expression and wide grin on Koraidon’s face, Flutter Mane’s lips couldn’t help but curl up slightly, revealing a faint smile.

It was happy for Koraidon.

”Dream.” (You found him.) Flutter Mane said.

”Aga-si!” Koraidon nodded its big head excitedly and said, ”Aga-si!” (Naoki is here too!)

Flutter Mane already knew because it had just seen that creature called a human beside Koraidon.

Mentioning this, Koraidon suddenly wanted to know how Flutter Mane came here.

Thinking about it, it asked, ”Aga-si?”

Flutter Mane replied, ”Dream.” (I was waiting there, you didn’t come back, so I went below and was brought to this place.)

Below? Koraidon was momentarily stunned, then suddenly realized it must have been sent over by the power of those little turtle Pokemon, just like it!

Thinking of past experiences, Koraidon invited: ”Aga-si?” (Would you like to come back to the ranch with us?)

Meanwhile, in the monitoring room.

Watching the footage of the two Ancient Pokemon getting along, Professor Sada’s face was full of interest:

”As expected, they know each other!”

Seeing this scene, Professor Turo beside her couldn’t help but feel a bit envious.

Professor Sada’s research on Ancient Pokemon had made new progress once again.

While his research on Futuristic Pokemon had hit a bottleneck.

Compared to the primitive and ferocious Ancient Barbarian Pokemon, Futuristic Pokemon, despite their calm demeanor and seemingly high intelligence, posed significant challenges in research due to their unpredictable behavior and thoughts.

Thinking of this, Professor Turo couldn’t help but look at Naoki beside him.

As a renowned Pokemon Doctor, he could easily see that Naoki was very adept at getting along with Pokemon.

No matter what kind of Pokemon, he could eventually befriend them and have them obediently listen to him.

So the question arose, could he entrust some Futuristic Pokemon to Naoki and have them form bonds?

Just like Koraidon.

He once tried to create a friendship between Arven and Miraidon, but for some unknown reason, Arven was strongly resistant to both Koraidon and Miraidon.

Professor Turo fell into thought.

If Miraidon were entrusted to Naoki’s care, could Miraidon become another Koraidon?

Thinking of this, Professor Turo couldn’t help but invite: ”Naoki, are you interested in a Pokemon like Miraidon?”

Hearing this, Naoki was slightly stunned.

”What do you mean?” he asked.

Professor Turo explained: ”I want to entrust Miraidon No. 1 to your care, just like Koraidon, and see if you can also form such a profound bond with Miraidon.”

Naoki instantly understood what Professor Turo meant.

He was intending to give him a Miraidon!

Naoki’s eyes widened immediately: ”Can I?”

”Of course.” Professor Turo nodded with a smile.

Professor Sada, who was attentively observing Koraidon and Flutter Mane, also heard their conversation at this moment. Her lips curled slightly, and she smiled at her husband:

”You’re sneakily taking advantage again!”

Professor Turo was quite helpless: ”There’s no other way. As long as Ancient Pokemon are given enough time and receive guidance and training to adapt, they can integrate into this era.”

”But the Futuristic Pokemon, with their already impressive intelligence, can’t be influenced by this method at all.”

On one hand, there’s the yet-to-awaken, ferocious wildman Pokemon that only know how to fight for territory and hunt for food.

On the other hand, there’s the unknown origin, metallic-bodied Futuristic Pokemon that possess extraordinary intelligence and thinking.

After speaking, Professor Turo looked at Naoki: ”So, I’d like to ask you to reach out to Miraidon, try to interact with it, and see if you can form bonds with it like you did with Koraidon.”

Naoki gradually calmed down.

Honestly, Koraidon’s case was quite special since back then, he helped Koraidon heal its wounds, which gained him quite a bit of favor.

He had never interacted with Miraidon before, and he feared the process would be very challenging.

Out of caution, Naoki didn’t claim he could definitely accomplish it, but instead said, ”I can give it a try.”

Professor Turo nodded in satisfaction. He glanced at the monitor screen and said:

”It seems those two still have a lot to talk about, so let’s take this opportunity to go to the Eco Garden where Miraidon is.”

Thus, Professor Sada stayed behind to continue observing Koraidon and Flutter Mane.

Naoki followed Professor Turo to the Eco Garden where Miraidon resided.

With the automatic opening of multiple doors, the two arrived at a vast garden full of cliff valleys.

This Eco Garden was extremely spacious. As soon as they entered, Naoki began searching for Miraidon’s silhouette.

Finally, he spotted Miraidon at the base of a towering cliff.

That Miraidon was levitating in mid-air, gazing indifferently at the sky with lifeless eyes, unclear of what it was looking at.

Professor Turo watched this scene and softly said: ”That’s Miraidon, the legendary Iron Snake that turns the earth to ash with lightning.”

Naoki murmured, ”It resembles Cyclizar’s skeleton.”

Professor Turo stated seriously: ”But Miraidon’s power and ruthlessness far surpass that of a Pokemon like Cyclizar.”

”It’s far more intelligent than I imagined, possessing the observational and insightful power to even see through personalities, yet its expression is too monotonous and mechanized. Even I can’t interpret its emotions or facial changes.”

Hearing Professor Turo’s words, along with what he witnessed, Naoki couldn’t help but mentally compare Miraidon with Koraidon.

”Indeed, Koraidon’s emotions are much clearer and easier to understand, and its appearance is more biological...”
