Chapter 386: Chapter 243: The Forgotten King

Riley’s wife, the old woman beside him, looked at her husband with a hint of helplessness.

She carefully recalled and said, ”The King of Bountiful Harvests... I used to believe it was real. It’s in the stories my grandmother told me when I was a child. She said that if you were naughty in the fields, the king would take your body away. But now, I think it’s just something to scare kids, right?”

Indeed...

Although some people in Freezington Village have heard of Calyrex The King of Bountiful Harvests, they don’t believe it truly exists, thinking it’s just a legend.

Let alone faith.

For Calyrex The King of Bountiful Harvests, who derives power from faith, this is undoubtedly fatal.

Without faith, Calyrex’s power weakened, even Glastrier and Spectrier abandoned it...

And the root cause of all this, was it the Galar Royal Family who claimed the credit of repelling the Darkest Day with Zacian and Zamazenta as their own?

Naoki fell into contemplation.

Regarding this, the game does not explain in detail.

But judging from the actions of the Galar Royal Family, it is highly likely that in order to maintain their rule and image in people’s minds, they also took away Calyrex’s achievements.

As time moved on, and kingdoms changed, Calyrex disappeared from people’s hearts and the river of history.

The King of Galar was forgotten by its subjects.

The loss of faith made Calyrex’s power gradually weaken, and Spectrier and Glastrier abandoned it.

Naoki’s heart was very complicated.

At this moment, the snow stopped outside the house.

Riley and his wife said joyfully, ”It finally stopped!”

Then, Riley looked at Naoki and said to him, ”If you’re not in a hurry to leave, you can stay in the village for a while longer. The snow scenery in Freezington Village is quite worth seeing.”

The old woman next to him also said, ”During this period, you can stay with us! Usually, it’s just me and the old man living here. It would be more lively with another guest!”

”Thank you very much.” Naoki expressed his gratitude.

The Swablu joyfully chirped as it perched on his shoulder.

Riley laughed and said, ”Let’s have Shelly take you on a tour of the village!”

Naoki looked at the Swablu and smiled, saying to it, ”Thank you too.”

”Chirp~!”

The Swablu let out a happy growl.

Naoki walked out the door with Koraidon and began to wander around the small village on the snow plain.

Overall, the village is not large, with only more than twenty households.

Several pieces of farmland are opened up in the center of the village, with some cold-resistant crops planted in them.

Snow-covered roads connect the houses together.

Perhaps because the snow had stopped, people started stepping out of their houses. In the blink of an eye, the village, which had been silent for quite some time, became bustling.

Farmers used Mamoswine to pull carts, which were filled with goods.

The Swablu perched on the farm fence, alongside several geometric snowflakes swaying in mid-air.

It’s hard to imagine that there is such a vibrant scene in this frigid land.

At this moment, the Swablu suddenly left his shoulder and flew into the farmland, landing on a tall snow mound.

The Swablu hopped around.

Naoki was somewhat surprised. He suddenly remembered something from the game and stepped forward to brush off the snow, discovering a fragmented stone statue beneath.

”Indeed...”

Just as Naoki was about to say something, Koraidon turned its gaze to the distance.

”Ah-gah-shhh.”

Naoki lifted his head, his eyes peering beyond the statue, under a snow-covered pine not far away, he saw a small, elegant, yet majestic mysterious Pokemon.

Naoki was slightly taken aback, the two gazing across the vast snowfield.

At this moment, time seemed to stop.

That was... Calyrex!

However, looking at Calyrex, an untimely thought suddenly popped into Naoki’s mind.

”What a big head!!”
