Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 382: Chapter 242: The Crown Tundra

NPCs in the game have mentioned that Lono has been live streaming for many years...

Clearly, Lono was already over twenty at that time.

”That makes sense,” Naoki calculated carefully in his mind.

But none of this really mattered to him.

Naoki didn’t think much of it. After finishing his meal, he took Koraidon and Cyclizar to the deck, ordered a few glasses of juice, and lay down on a beach chair to gaze at the stars.

Three days later, this ship arrived at the Galar Region on time, docking at the port of Hulbury Town.

Naoki, looking travel-worn, disembarked with Koraidon, taking an interested stroll through this port town.

The temperature here was a bit warmer than in the Paldea Region.

The town’s roads were very neat, with railings on both sides to prevent tourists from falling into the sea, while a tall wall with a medieval style stood on the edge of the town.

The blend of medieval and modern architecture added a strong sense of fantasy to this town.

Along the way, Naoki saw parks, shops, street stalls, flower shops...

On those clean and tidy lawns, he also saw several Pokémon unique to the Galar Region.

For example, a Yamper happily running while generating electricity from the base of its tail on the lawn.

Or a Blipbug quietly observing everything in the park below from a tree branch.

A Sobble playing with water beside the fountain.

”Sobble, Galar Region’s Water Type starter, looks pretty cute,” Naoki thought.

Unknowingly, he walked Koraidon over to where the Sobble was.

The Sobble, playing in the water, suddenly sensed a terrifying aura. It looked up to see a large Pokémon it had never seen before glaring at it menacingly.

Sobble’s body went stiff and it started sobbing loudly in fear, tears gushing out.

Seeing this, Naoki quickly said: ”Don’t be afraid, it won’t hurt you...”

But as he was about to finish, Naoki suddenly noticed a slight change in his surroundings.

Next, his eyes started to get wet, and tears flowed uncontrollably.

Naoki was bewildered for a second, and hearing Koraidon’s growl behind him, he turned to see Koraidon also inexplicably crying.

Naoki: ”?”

Seizing this opportunity, Sobble’s color and pattern rapidly changed, blending in with the surroundings and disappearing from sight!

Koraidon noticed this scene and exclaimed: ”Aga-sis!”

Naoki looked down and realized that Sobble had vanished.

At this moment, someone was drawn to the commotion over here.

It was a tall, model-like girl with brown skin, blue eyes, wearing a swimsuit that flattered her figure.

She stood a short distance away, observing the scene and assessing this foreigner, and said calmly,

”That’s a Sobble. This type of Pokémon is a bit timid, and the tears they shed when they’re scared contain a potent tear-inducing substance, causing everyone in the vicinity to burst into tears, giving them a chance to make their escape.”

Hearing the voice, Naoki and Koraidon, still teary-eyed, turned and saw a familiar figure.

Was it... Nessa?

Nessa, the Water-type Gym Leader of the Galar Region, who also worked as a model.

Naoki was slightly taken aback.

Nessa, looking at the tears on his face, gave her advice: ”Although that substance is harmless to the body, I still recommend that you go to a Pokemon Center to check it out, otherwise this state will last for a long time.”

Naoki: ”...”

Ten minutes later, he and Koraidon, still in tears, arrived at the Pokemon Center.

The moment Miss Joy of the Galar Region saw them, she knew what had happened and quickly applied eye drops to their eyes.

Looking at the reddened eyes of the human and Pokémon, Miss Joy couldn’t help but ask: ”Trainers from other regions, right?”

Naoki nodded. Koraidon was not a Pokémon from the Galar Region, which was obvious at a glance.

Miss Joy chuckled, ”It must have been hard for you two. The substance released by Sobble has a tear-inducing effect equivalent to 100 onions; if you get caught by accident, you’ll keep crying until your tears run dry!”

Naoki: ”...”

Now he finally understood why Nessa suggested he come to the Pokemon Center.

Thanks to the eye drops provided by Miss Joy, that horrible state quickly vanished.

Naoki rubbed his eyes, thanked Miss Joy, and then left the Pokemon Center.

Returning to that park, Nessa was nowhere to be seen.

”I wanted to thank her,” Naoki thought with regret, but since he had important things to do, he decided to put it off until he had a chance later.

The next destination...

Naoki checked the signs in Hulbury Town and quickly found the exact location of Hulbury Town Station.

Ten minutes later, Naoki officially arrived at Hulbury Town Station.

The ticket seller lady smiled at him and asked, ”Where do you want to go?”

Naoki: ”The Crown Tundra.”

”Ah?” Hearing this name, the ticket seller lady was slightly taken aback, then she realized and smiled, ”You mean Crown Tundra, right?”

Naoki then realized he mentioned the name from the Sword and Shield DLC and, embarrassed, nodded: ”Yes, Crown Tundra.”
