Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 376: Chapter 239: The Naoki Empire and the Dragonite Legion (4k)_3

Some Dragonites do know, but for them, it doesn’t really matter whether they hibernate or not!

Because Dragonite Island is located in the middle of the sea, the climate doesn’t get too cold even in winter, and there are plenty of small fish in the sea, so they don’t have to worry about food at all.

Hearing this, Naoki nodded thoughtfully.

Then, he found the two wild Dragonites preparing to take Poffins and five Dragonairs back to Dragon Island.

Naoki: ”Tomorrow is the first day of winter, and the weather will get colder and colder. It might even start snowing. If it gets too cold on the way, you can rest on the island for a while and wait until it gets warmer to start work again.”

Upon hearing this, the Dragonites and Dragonairs immediately shook their heads, indicating they were not afraid of the cold!

Naoki: ”...”

He said helplessly, ”Alright, then I’ll check on things when it starts snowing. Go ahead, today’s work is done, you should hurry home!”

Under the watchful eyes of the Dragonite, the group of Dragonites and Dragonairs happily bid farewell to Naoki, then waved their increasingly plump claws and flew off in the direction of Dragonite Island.

In a blink of an eye, they disappeared from sight.

At times like this, Naoki couldn’t help but be grateful that most Dragonites on Dragonite Island still valued their dignity.

If all of them shamelessly stayed at his ranch for food like these few, he would have gone bankrupt long ago.

Speaking of dragons, Naoki hadn’t forgotten that there was also a dragon at his ranch.

He thought for a moment, then turned back into the house and brought out a basket of pumpkin cookies to the lake where the Dragonairs usually stayed, lightly coughed twice, and asked, ”Giratina, are you there?”

No response.

”Seems like it’s not here,” Naoki murmured.

The poisonous mushrooms he picked last time had already been consumed, and he could no longer use the Poisonous Mushroom Soup to see the Reversed World.

Furthermore, after the forest fire, it was difficult to find poisonous mushrooms in the back mountains.

Moreover, since Giratina might have felt bored, it wouldn’t always be peeking here and occasionally wandered off to other places.

Now, he had unilaterally lost contact with Giratina.

Just as Naoki was about to head back with the basket, a purple vortex suddenly appeared on the calm surface of the lake.

Has it returned?

Naoki was slightly startled, then threw the basket he was holding into it.

The purple vortex gradually disappeared.

Naoki didn’t mind, got up, smiled, and returned to the living room.

At this moment, the sky outside had completely darkened.

Due to the festival, the Pokemon Tavern was closed for a day, and the Indeedee siblings were staying at home.

The brother Indeedee was sweeping the floor with a broom, while the sister Indeedee was boiling water nearby, preparing to make tea for Naoki.

Naoki called the siblings over and said, ”I’m going on a trip soon to take care of some matters, and it might take about half a month before I come back. I’ll be counting on you to look after the house.”

Hearing that Naoki was going on a trip again, the Cyclizar lying in front of the fireplace immediately stood up.

Naoki noticed it and said with a smile, ”Don’t worry, you’re coming with me this time.”

”Gao!” Cyclizar was overjoyed.

The two Indeedees nodded gently, saying, ”Ai Yi~”

Rest assured, they would take care of everything at home!

”Thank you, I’ll bring you gifts when I return,” Naoki said with a smile, patting the sister Indeedee on the head.

The brother Indeedee’s small face tensed up.

Seeing this, Naoki also reached out and patted it.

In the next moment, he saw the brother Indeedee’s face turn visibly red, seemingly embarrassed.

Naoki raised an eyebrow, didn’t say much, just withdrew his hand and said, ”It’s getting late, you should go rest! I’ll watch over things here.”

Dazed and confused from the pats, the siblings nodded and obediently returned to their room.

Naoki stayed in the living room, waiting for the water to boil. Then he went up to turn off the heat, poured the hot water into a thermos, and went back to his room to rest.

Autumn was over, and when the clock struck midnight, winter would officially begin!

With expectations for the days to come, Naoki closed his eyes and, accompanied by the cozy snoring of the Pawmot in his arms, quickly fell asleep.
