Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 380: Chapter 241: Departure to Galar! Target: Calyrex!

Not only that, some clever Corviknight have also learned to cooperate with humans, working at the Galar Transport Company, established by humans, to provide flying taxi services to transport guests to various towns.

There must be people collecting feathers shed by Corviknight in such places. By then, he can just buy some.

League Calendar Year 198, October 9th.

That morning, after finishing the work at the ranch, Naoki said goodbye to everyone and rode Koraidon to the other end of the Paldea Region, to Levincia City.

In mid-air, after confirming the direction of Levincia City on the map, Naoki directed Koraidon to fly towards that direction.

While riding on Koraidon, he observed the map of the Paldea Region.

The map in reality is not the same as the map in the game.

To be precise, the map here is larger and more expansive than the one in the game, with a more complex and diverse terrain.

Additionally, between some of the famous large towns, there are many small villages and towns not present in the game.

Places like Sunnytown, Dewford Town, and Bullfighting City.

”If I have the chance, I might come to visit here later,” Naoki thought.

According to the travel guide included with the map, Sunnytown is a rustic town surrounded by Sunflora Fields where humans and Sunflora live together.

As for Dewford Town, it’s said to be named because a large number of Toedscool inhabit the area near the village.

And Bullfighting City, it’s said to be a big city full of traditional customs of Paldea, where many passionate bullfighters gather, performing intense and exciting bullfighting techniques with their captured Tauros in the arena.

After a long flight lasting several hours, Naoki finally formally arrived in the eastern region of Paldea.

There’s still some distance to Levincia City, so he rode Koraidon and overlooked the fields and cities below.

Looking at the modern high-rise buildings, Naoki suddenly felt that Eastern Paldea is more modern and urbanized than the west.

When Koraidon reached above Levincia City, this feeling grew even stronger.

Skyscrapers towered, cars flooded the city streets, and by now it was already evening, with shops on both sides of the road turning on their lights early, the flickering neon lights turning the entire Levincia City into a dreamy kingdom.

For a moment, Naoki felt as if he had entered another world.

Compared to this place, Porto Marinada Town is simply a very backward rural town!

”This is incredible!”

Naoki was dazzled by the radiant lights.

He watched beams of neon lights shoot up high from the city, softly swaying and intertwining in the night, making the whole city appear dreamlike and picturesque, like a perfect scene.

Wait a minute!

Naoki suddenly realized what he was looking at.

This is one of Paldea’s Ten Views, the Million Volt Skyline!

He couldn’t help but admit how beautiful it is!

Koraidon seemed to be stunned by this sight as well.

Naoki heard it let out a soft call.

”Ahh-rooo...”

Naoki didn’t speak, he and Koraidon just quietly gazed at the lights below.

Until someone else arrived, riding a flying Pokemon.

The person took a camera with their companion, looking excited: ”As expected of Paldea’s Ten Views, it’s truly beautiful!”

The companion quickly urged: ”Take the picture quickly! These are the memories of our trip!”

Naoki jolted awake, remembering they still had important things to do.

”Let’s land!”

”Ah-roo~”

Koraidon responded happily, then slowly descended into Levincia City.

Upon entering the city, that sense of disparity grew even stronger.

Naoki looked around, noticing the fashionable people dressed in suits and stylish attire, some of whom cast glances towards him.

Naoki: ”...”

Could it be that someone might ridicule him for being a hillbilly from the sticks?

He remembered that Ash from the anime was mocked like that before.

However, no one did such a thing; they merely seemed curious about the sudden landing of Naoki and Koraidon.

Seeing this, Naoki felt relieved and shifted his focus back to the task at hand, preparing to go with Koraidon to the port to buy a ticket to the Galar Region.

They passed through the streets, following the city’s road signs towards the port.

”Cross the Central Square located in the city center, then pass over the sea bridge to reach Levincia Light Tower; the boarding area is near the lighthouse,” Naoki silently summarized the route and recorded it in his mind.

He took Koraidon towards the Central Square, and when they arrived there, they suddenly found the Central Square to be very lively.

Many Trainers with Pokemon excitedly rushed in that direction.

”The battle at Levincia Gym is about to start!”

”Don’t block my way, I’m going to see Lono!”

”Ahhh, who pushed me?”

A crowd swarmed over, and Naoki and Koraidon were squeezed to the edges of the Central Square.

Naoki: ”...”

When the crowd finally settled down, Naoki could see the scene around him clearly.

In front, a sea of people and Pokemon surrounded the perimeter of the Central Square, observing the spectacle inside.

The so-called Central Square is actually a massive circular Pokemon battle arena, surrounded by bright, dazzling neon lights.

At this moment, someone was having a Pokemon battle in the arena.

When he got a clear look at one of them, Naoki was slightly taken aback.

Blue and pink mixed hair, cute Magnemite hair accessories...

Is that...Lono?

At this moment, the battle on the stage hadn’t begun.

Lono’s eyes swept across the spectators around the square, grinning, revealing a set of beautiful shark-like teeth.

”Everyone~! It’s time for another Lono performance~! ”

The crowd burst into a lively cheer.

Lono responded with accustomed laughter: ”Good morning, afternoon, and evening, hello Ciao! ”

The Trainer standing opposite her looked admiringly.

Lono grinned, and her voice was cute and playful:

”Are you all ready~?”

”Capture your attention with Electroweb! Who’s here to see me? Lono’s here!”

”Today’s challenger is~? Riding high, the Trainer Komatsu who can even take down Wattrel flying in the sky~!”

”...”

”So it is Lono,” Naoki thought, filled with slight confusion.

The time was still early, and Lono had already become a Gym Leader?

If he remembered correctly, Lono seemed to also be a streamer.

However, now Lono didn’t appear to be streaming, only conducting an exhibition match.

”It should be because the streaming industry hasn’t emerged at this time,” Naoki thought.

At this moment, Koraidon, noticing Naoki’s expression, its eyes lit up with excitement: ”Ahh-rooo!”

”Hmm?” Naoki looked at Koraidon in confusion.

Could it be that Koraidon also likes watching Lono’s type of live streams?

Perceiving Naoki’s gaze, Koraidon turned its head, still somewhat excited: ”Ah-roo!”

Naoki curiously asked: ”You like her?”

It seems like it’s Koraidon’s first time seeing Lono, right?

Naoki recalled that although Lono was a Gym Leader, she didn’t seem very famous yet, her fame not having reached Porto Marinada Town in Western Paldea.

Although Lono is indeed quite cute...

In that flash, countless thoughts raced through Naoki’s mind.

For example, could Pokemon fall in love with humans? Can Pokemon feel love at first sight with humans?

If he remembered correctly, the Meowth in the anime seemed to have fallen in love with a human.

Under his suspicious gaze, Koraidon nodded its big head repeatedly: ”Ah-roo!”

Yet, Koraidon wasn’t thinking that much; it was simply happy to see Lono.

Because before it became Koraidon, Lono took care of it and everyone at the ranch.

More importantly, she had a little master.

Naoki named the little master Shou, and he remembered that Naoki even changed the ranch’s name to ”House of Trees,” where everyone lived happily together.

The little master...

In Koraidon’s mind, the scene replayed of when it left, the little master pitifully holding onto it, asking when it would return.

Yet it couldn’t go back.

Thinking of this, Koraidon’s mood inevitably turned somber.

”Ahh-rooo...”

Naoki: ?
