I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1765: 24.26 Sixth Violet Star - Tower Master, Mu Liao

The attention of the newly found beast egg in Long Juedi’s possession had indeed caught the eyes of the thieves within the crowd. Moreover, even if they aren’t thieves this egg can simply attract the greed of the other due to its unique ability to heal. Even for the Tower Master of the Mercenary Tower, such an item is too precious. The only reason he isn’t showing greed like the others was because he met the source of this egg. If he had estimated that pair’s strength, it can be said that they are at least a Master rank beastmaster or even more powerful than that. After all, the ability to enter and leave the ancient forest shows one’s might without question.

Seeing the eyes that had fallen onto them, Long Teng and Long Juedi shiver in fear. These aren’t good eyes to land on them. It can make one nervous and anxious. However, when they accepted the tower master’s suggestion to sent them house, the eyes that landed on the two of them before had faded a bit making Long Teng and Long Juedi, sighed in relief.

Escorted by the Mercenary Tower’s Master himself, the two young men who were being closely targeted can now sighed in relief. The tower master named Mu Liao, an expert ranked beastmaster, agreed to the young man’s request.

Tower Master Mu Liao agreed to the request of Long Juedi. He was interested to see how the marshal’s family would react to the existence of that mysterious pair whom he just met. He was so sure that something was wrong with those two. It is just that he himself is unable to make a move on someone from the marshal’s family..

He gave those who were still looking at them with a warning gaze and finally brought back the cubs of the marshal palace. He didn’t know who had informed the marshal about his presence, but as expected Marshak Long Tian and his brother, Long Kian were waiting for him at the gates of the Long family.

Long Kian gestured to the children to immediately return to his side, ”Jue’er, Teng’er, come here.”

The children only glance at the man who brought them here and run back to the side of their fathers. Seeing that he didn’t stop them made them a bit relieved. This Tower Master, Mu Liao, is now staring at Long Tian with a friendly smile yet there is no smile on the face of the marshal.

”Marshal Long Tian, I had successfully brought back the children of your clan. How about inviting me in for tea,” Tower Master Mu Liao asked.

The marshal stared at him for a long time before Long Tian opened his mouth and said, ”My father wanted to see. Come inside for some tea.”

”It will be an honor,” said the Tower Master of the Mercenary Tower, Mu Liao.

Although the tower master expected that he would be invited in for sending the two children of the Long Family back home, he would have never expected that it was the old marshal who would especially invite him for a tea. Now the tower master was as nervous as his excitement increased upon hearing such a rare opportunity. In the end, he followed them inside the house and was escorted to the hall where the old marshal, Long Huang, was waiting for them.

Long Huang welcomed the guest over and said, ”Child of the Mu family, welcome to our house. Would you like to join this old man for tea?”

The tower master, Mu Liao finally sees the old marshal. In the outside world, they said that the Long family’s old marshal was dying after he caused a lot of death from his last battle at the ancient forest. His opponent was Huzi, the nine-tailed fox beastman leader who had almost lost his mind for thinking how many people of their race had killed cubs and eggs of the Beastman race. At that time, the old marshal was unable to deny anything as it was indeed true that the one who did such a thing is none other than people from the human race. It was because of this event that the human race became enemies with the beastman tribe.

However, seeing the old marshal at this moment made Mu Liao startled. Long Huang was completely healthy. Not just health but someone who looks completely uninjured. No paleness of skin, a rosy skin that showed and even his main beast by his side was completely uninjured.

The thoughts of the tower master upon seeing a completely healthy old marshal: ’How is this possible?! The information said that he was half dead and his beast had lost some limbs from the last battle in the ancient forest. How come he looks completely healthy? Not even a trace of injury was found on him?!’

The tower master, Mu Liao, greeted the senior before him completely politely unlike his thug-like reaction when meeting the current marshal.

”Mu Liao of Mu Clan greets the old marshal!”

The tower master pulled something out from his storage. A can of expensive tea called Golden Dragon Whiskers and offered it as a gift to the elderly.

”Old Marshal, I don’t have much from my side. I hope you accept this Golden Dragon Whisker tea from this young one,” said Mu Liao.

The old marshal gestured to the butler to take it and said, ”This old man loves tea. I shall enjoy this can of tea to enjoy with you. Come over and take your seat. This old man has a few questions to ask.”

Mu Liao had sat on the free sofa opposite of the old marshal. The two youngest were told to wait at the corner of the room looking at the gorgeous egg in Lon Juedi’s arms. As for the current marshal and his brother, Long Kian, they both stood behind the old marshal letting the two of them have a conversation. The eyes of the current marshal had always been judgemental upon seeing him. Normally, he would taunt Long Tian seeing him act this way. But right now that is impossible in the presence of the old marshal.

After his offered tea was served by the butler to everyone in the hall, the first one to enjoy the tea was the old marshal. He only enjoyed the scent of the tea and took a sip.

Old Marshal, Long Huang, said, ”Good tea.”

”I am happy that seniors enjoy it. Can this junior now ask why the old marshal invited this old me?” Tower Master Mu Liao asked.

Long Huang didn’t hold back by beating the bush and said, ”This old man wanted to talk about the two men who had accepted the mission from my youngest grandson. Who are they? Their information. Did they truly come out from the ancient forest alive etc. Everything that involves them. This old man wants to know everything.”

The friendly aura from the old marshal before was now replaced with something that restrains people. Stern demeanor, cold gaze and an undeniable presence plus the pressure he gives out just being before them was enough for the old man to show his power.

”Everything about the pair who accepted the mission from the youngest of the Long family, this junior is willing to tell everything. However, there is something I wanted to know. If the Old Marshal gives me the answer to this question, I will share all the information I have gathered about those two unique pairs that your children had met,” said Mu Liao of the Mercenary Tower.

The old marshal didn’t answer right away and enjoyed his tea. As for the current marshal and his brother, they gave him a fierce pair of eyes but didn’t dare open their mouths in fear that they would be dragged into this mess. Moreover, the decision still fell on the calm old marshal after all. They all look at Long Huang waiting for him to open his mouth. Silence descends in the whole room. Except for the two children playing card with the servants of the house at the corner, everyone attention was on the old marshal waiting for him to give the tower master of the mercenary tower an answer he had been waiting for.

The old marshal, Long Huang said, ”Alright. This old man will at least listen to your question. Ask away.”

The tower master, Mu Liao, didn’t hesitate and asked the one thing that confuses him the most and wanted to know the most as well.

He asked, ”I would like to meet the one who had healed the old marshal!”

Long Huang, this old marshal was completely calm. Long Tian was expressionless as ever and even Long Kian had held back his reaction. However, Tower Master Mu Liao noticed the reaction of Long Juedi at the corner of the hall with his brother, Long Teng.

The old marshal responded, ”Meeting the healer is not possible, However, I would ask for their opinion about his request. If he agrees I can only ask you to bring the patient over to this place. If the latter doesn’t agree then I can only apologize. There is nothing I can do about it.”

”It’s alright. As long as the Old marshal speaks a word of my father’s situation to the healer. That is enough,” said the tower master, Mu Liao.

In the end, he shared everything about the two wardens pretending to be mercenaries of his tower to everyone in the Long Clan.
