I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1216: 18.54 First Grey Star - Trial of Sin I

After the trial started, Lu Shang and Ji Yoonjun were expelled from the trial site. Three individuals had consented to go through the trial of sins; the three were divided, but their trials were identical. The white mist dissipated when Lu Shang and Ji Yoonjun returned to the location where Leica and the cubs were waiting.

There was no longer the white mist of the woodland they were in; instead, the central area was entirely obstructed by an unseen barrier.

Lu Shang frowned. ”Yue, can you help see what is happening to the three of them?”

System Yue responded, [Itʼs possible, but if that person noticed it, the scene would be cut off. That is his domain, after all.]

”Itʼs better than waiting. Let us see all their perspectives,” Lu Shang said.

A tiny moon materialized before Lu Shang; in reality, none of the present group could fail to see him; they were all strangers in this universe. Ji Yoonjunʼs gaze lingered on System Yueʼs avatar as though contemplating something, but in the end, he said nothing at all to Zhi Yue.

Leica, as if noticing the bewilderment in Ji Yoonjunʼs eyes, spoke, ”Yue is different from the other systems in the God and Nether Systems. They arenʼt prisoners like the other systems but instead a creation made by the God of Void.”

”A creation? No wonder he has no restrictions with his cultivation,” Ji Yoonjun mumbles before walking away and leaning to a tree branch to nap. ”I will rest for a while.”

When he closes his eyes, Lu Shang and Leica stop bothering him, and they concentrate on the screen that System Yue created, which depicts the events from the viewpoints of the three trial takers: Lu Ming, Su Jin, and Mo Yuhan.

”They were separated as expected. This is an individual trial,” Leica commented. ”Trial of Sins. Donʼt tell me the trials will involve the seven deadly sins of mortals.”

The first trial is Greed; all humans have desires for money, riches, and gold. When Mo Yuhan, Lu Ming, and Su Jin entered the first door that appeared before them, a room filled with glistening gold, paper money, jewelry, and gemstones appeared before their eyes. Lu Shang felt his lover had guessed it correctly. There are seven sins humans continue to commit.

These are the sins humans continue to commit in life. Lu Ming and the other two believe that these sins are something that all humans have experienced.

This is the first time they have seen so much treasure; anything in here is enough to let them live the life of a millionaire. Unfortunately, for hunters like them, money is not something they desire; instead, it would be ingredients or more ingredients, so they were completely uninterested in such things. It was so bright that they had to cover their eyes.

Mo Yuhan and Lu Ming are young masters of large clans; Su Jin is a reincarnated person who has not seen the sort of wealth he has not seen after living a lifetime as Young Master Luʼs lover; none of the three really wants any of them.

Lu Shang nonchalantly commented on the scene. ”Not bad, but it doesnʼt seem much.”

The three of them search the treasure room, looking for a door; the walls are closed in, and no door can be found; they stare at the mountains of gold coins and the shovel that is not far away; they begin to dig within the gold mountain, not taking any of these opulent items for themselves; their lack of interest is evident as they take something from the mountain of riches and toss it somewhere on their back.

They keep doing this, digging in dirt instead of gold coins.

After searching for several hours, they eventually discovered the door concealed by the gold. As soon as they opened it, the entire room seemed to be drawn inward; what had once been a simple wooden door was suddenly transformed into a costly, gemstone-encrusted gold door, and a loud noise echoed throughout.

{Youʼve passed the Trial of Greed. Unexpectedly, there are still humans who donʼt desire such riches. Enter the door to begin the second trial. It seems boring to keep you three separate. Letʼs combine your trials.}

Lu Ming, Mo Yuhan, and Su Jin all appeared in the same spot when the three of them opened the door, but this time, you showed up in what appeared to be heaven, complete with fluffy clouds everywhere and a lulling aroma that makes everything in the room look like a comfy bed for them to sleep on.

Su Jin was the least affected of the three by this scent because he was still very energetic prior to this trial, but Mo Yuhan and Lu Ming were different. Their bodies were tired from training under Lu Shang, and the scent made their minds a little dull. The scene of the clouds reminded them of their beds back home. Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan were eager to jump on it.

”Bed, so fluffy. What should I sleep?”

”Are we home already? Xiao Jin, I want to take a nap Wake me up for dinner~”

While Lu Shang and Mo Yuhan were drowsily making their way toward the clouds, seemingly ready to jump in, Su Jin scowled and reached into his inventory, hurling something he took from his space ring into the other twoʼs mouths: a Scorpion red pepper, a first-class, rare-grade chili pepper that is ten times spicier than regular red peppers, and to make matters worse, Su Jin forced them to bite into it.

CHOMP!

Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan were startled awake when the red juice of the Scorpion Red Pepper gushed into their mouths, making their lips swell and their tongues burn. It seemed like something had burned them.

”AAH! AHHHH~ My tongue! I donʼt feel my tongue!”

”Hot! So spicy! Water! Someone give me water!!! Ahhhh!!”

Now that they were fully awake, Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan were jumping around, not knowing what to do, and even forgot their space equipment, which is holds water. Their eyes were red with tears streaming down past their control, and their tongues were stinging so much that they were unable to close their mouths.

---

On the other hand, outside the trial area...

Even though this thoroughly woke up Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan, there was a harsh element to it regardless of how you looked at it. Lu Shang and Leica were watching the entire thing, and they were a little surprised that a good lad like Su Jin would make such a sudden scene. Lu Shang clearly didnʼt expect the young man to make such a bold move.

Leica commented, ”Even if he looks naive, that doesnʼt mean he isnʼt smart. He knew that with his strength he wouldnʼt be able to drag or stop those two. Waking them up is his only option.”

”But to feed them with a scorpion red pepper and make them bite it directly was a bit... unexpected,” Lu Shang said.

Leica said, ”Didnʼt that wake them up? He did nothing wrong.”

”Okay. Whatever you say is right.” Lu Shang gave up and no longer talked back to his lover.

The only thing that calmed Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan down was when Su Jin handed them a few bottles of milk; even though their tongues felt a little numb, they are now fully awake in return. They felt cold sweat on their backs, just now they can hardly control their bodies and this made them a bit fearful.

”Thank you, Xiao Jin!”

”Itʼs good that I can help.”

”I owe you one.”

Su Jin, full of energy, approached the clouds that looked like beds and began splitting these clouds into countless sizes; only when Su Jin completely tore apart a cluster of soft clouds did a door appear on the ground. Lu Ming looked around and used wind elements to scatter the scent away from them.

This is the very fragrance that made them crazy for a moment, but the urge to lay down and sleep was something they could hardly control. After all, they were still tired.

The moment the door was found, another announcement was made.

{You passed the Trial of Sloth. Though two of them almost failed, in the end they persevered. Maybe merging the trial rooms is wrong. Enter the door for your next trial.}

The second door opened, allowing the three of them to jump in. The third trial is called Wrath. When the third trial started, the three of them fell into the darkness, unaware that when they awoke the next time, they would not have anticipated seeing the scene that sent their hearts reeling with uncontrollable anger, and this time, each of them could see what was happening to the other.

Mo Yuhan was the first to go through this trial; he went back to the day he detested the most in his life—the day he witnessed his beloved cousin killed in order to defend his children and his husband.

Mo Yuhan felt betrayed; he told Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue everything his cousin had told him to keep quiet, only because his parentsʼ lives were in danger and they believed they were being taken prisoner by the clan against their will.

However, when he saw the scene of his father, along with the other uncles of their clan, besieging the family of his cousin, he finally realized that he had been used by his parents to hurt his brother. His cousin was killed for blocking a knife for Ye Jieye, and the owner of this blade is none other than his father, who is thought to have been locked in by the ancestor.

The scene of Mo Xuejingʼs death before him was the last straw. The next scene changed from his cousinʼs death to his parentsʼ reappearance before himself. Suddenly, at this moment, a knife appeared in his hand, and he had no idea when it appeared. His heart was full of rage towards his family for using him and towards his own clan for harming his brother.

Mo Yuhan was trembling as he held this knife, glaring at his parents with bloodshot eyes full of wrath and hatred. In the Mo Clan, Mo Yuhan was looked down upon by the other family members because he was born to a dad who was not very good looking. Mo Xuejing was the one who protected him and treated him like a real younger brother, so the scene of his death just now was like a thorn in his heart.

With his heart full of rage, Mo Yuhan unexpectedly calms down at the last moment as he stares at the knife in his hand. His thoughts slowly gathered as he recalled all those scenes.

ʼSomething is wrong... I remember that my father never wielded a sharp weapon like this in his life. He is an elemental user far more powerful than he is, and... His father hated his clanʼs policies of intermarriage to keep the bloodline pure. That day, when he and his dad were captured, it was because the clan threatened his life, forcing them to return to the clan.

After I told everyone, our family left the territory until my cousin, who could no longer remember the past, brought me back. Is this all part of the third trial?ʼ

It was only when he looked up and saw that Ancestor Mo Xinyue had taken the place of his parentsʼ appearance that Mo Yuhan realized that he had made the correct guess—every scene that had appeared before him had been heightened by the trial, and he wanted me to kill it with a fit of rage.

Mo Yuhan mumbles, ”This trial is more dangerous than I expected.” He threw the knife in his hand and looked at Heavenly Guardian Mo before him. He looked him straight in the eyes and said, ”I forgive you.”

A voice reverberates in the region as the scene before him breaks apart like shattered glass shards, and light envelops the blackness, returning him to that white space.

{Candidate Mo Yuhan passed the Trial of Wrath.}
