I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1219: 18.57 First Grey Star - Nightmare Beast

Somewhere within the universe and within another world...

A man dozing in an upscale condominium, lying on a king-sized bed, opened his eyes groggily and clutched his hurting head, as though he had just woken up from a bad dream that had left his head pounding.

”Urgh! My head hurts. Did I drink too much last night?”

The man asked him to stay by his side and begged for forgiveness; he did not feel romantic feelings for the young man, but he had a feeling that person was important to him, even though there is no memory of that man in his head. That was the only dream he remembered having recently, after the aching in his head started to fade a little.

”Su... Jin... was it Xiao Jin? Urgh! My head is throbbing again!!”

It appears that humans can actually communicate with other planets through their dreams. The only problem is that none of them recognized that the events in their dreams had actually occurred in an other reality.

---

Back to the current world...

Sur Jin unexpectedly approaches the trialʼs controller, convinced that the Ji Yoonjun who materialized in that moment is, in fact, the Ji Yoonjun he knows and the one who should not be here anymore.

{Of course! Itʼs the real him. Unfortunately, he is no longer a part of this world, but in another world.}

Su Jin asked, ”Then can you truly bring him back!?”

{Hahaha~ of course, I...}

”You canʼt.”

The words of this unknown creature were cut off, and almost everyone was left speechless, especially when they saw who had just spoken. This person had the ability to cut the space itself, and he fell in front of Lu Ming, Mo Yuhan, and Su Jin while brandishing a pure black sword in his hand that looked like an eternal sword falling from the sky.

{How the hell did you enter my domain!?}

The unknown creature spoke with a beastly growl mixed in with these words, and then suddenly Ye Jieye showed up, cutting out the creatureʼs domain and forcing his way inside, and worse, the cut of his domain widens until all of the people who were inside just now are dragged out and fall back to the boundaries of the Death Forestʼs middle and core regions.

The three youngsters called, ”Cousin! (Lord Ye!)”

Ye Jieye destroyed the trial location but cut off another beingʼs realm and forced them all to return to reality with his divine artifact, Shenyuan.

”Stop giving these brats some nonsense. Bringing another soul to this world isnʼt something you are capable of. God isnʼt that omnipotent unless you are a Sovereign God,” Ye Jieye said. ”Come out!”

He sliced at the area in front of him again, creating a rupture, and something large and round and black dropped from it and bounced on the ground, evidently falling madly from somewhere.

Bang! Thud!

The black spherical thing twitched, exposing a mouth and eyes shaped like a fox. Although the creature seemed more adorable than menacing, Ye Jieye regarded it with disdain, seeing it as an evil being that had tricked mortals into believing it was something else entirely and ultimately perished for it.

”You are a nightmare beast that feeds on humanʼs nightmares and is capable of entering the dream realm. Your nature isnʼt good to begin with, and you love to give humans false hope. You give your prey a dream they wanted to see the most before turning them to a scene of nightmares to feed yourself. No wonder the old man didnʼt let you out of the Death Forest,” Ye Jieye said.

”Shut up! Why canʼt you let me eat my fill!? You guys prevent me from leaving this place! I want to eat! Iʼm so hungry. So what if I eat a few humans in progress!!”

The cute, round thing suddenly morphed into the form of a huge monster. It grew to the size of a mountain, with a big head and sharp teeth. It looks like a Tyrannosaurus rex.

ROOAAR~

The sight of this enormous monster startled Lu Ming, Mo Yuhan, and Su Jin. The Death Forest is a real danger zone; even the monsters here have the ability to speak and change into enormous creatures that might easily overpower them.

Ye Jieye stared at the dinosaur that suddenly materialized in front of him, and it brought back some memories of the primitive world of the past, when he and his wife had killed and brought these kinds of animals back to the tribe for food—that being the first time they had ever had their own children—and Ye Jingxiaʼs birthplace.

He shouted, ”Xiao Jing, come over. Father found a toy for you!”

”Toy? Thatʼs a toy? To them?” Mo Yuhan mumbles in shock.

After hearing what had just happened, both Lu Ming and Su Jin were stunned. Ye Jingxia cheerfully rode out of the core zone on Oreoʼs back and went to where his father, Ye Jieye, was.

Ye Jingxia asked, ”Papa, where is it? Where is the toy you found for Xiao Jing?”

”Turn around. It looks familiar, right?” Ye Jieye said.

Ye Jingxia was thrilled to see the Tyrannosaurus Rex in front of him. He thought back to his early years, when he could play with animals of that size and they would not perish so quickly even if he treated them cruelly.

”Ahh! Itʼs little Rexy! Play. Play! Letʼs play!!” Ye Jingxia said as he jumped off Oreoʼs back and ran to where the nightmare beast was. He looks so fearless, jumping and running around the Tyrannosaurus Rex as he eyes and glows with excitement.

Lu Ming worriedly asked, ”Cousin, will Xiao Jing be alright? That monster...”

”Watch first,” Ye Jieye said.

Lu Ming and the rest watch as Ye Jingxia, this chubby and small figure, runs towards the nightmare beast in Tyrannosaurus Rex shape.

The nightmare beast looked smug as he looked down on the small human under his eyes.

Snorts!

”Puny human! You are so small. What can you do to me? Hahaha~” the Nightmare Beast taunted.

Its dangerous father was still standing to the sides, watching, not foolishly, but not foolishly, for even though he had never seen Ye Jieyeʼs strength before, he could still feel that dark, menacing aura within his soul, so terrifying that he dared not approach Ye Jieye.

The image is so ridiculously cute that it makes sense, yet beneath everyoneʼs eyes, Ye Jieye, this tiny child grasped the Tyrannosaurus Rexʼs tail. He looks so small that he can only hug the tip of the monsterʼs tail with his small arms.

”Haha~ puny human, what would hugging the tip of my tail do?” The nightmare beast laughs.

Everyone only heard Ye Jingxia saying, ”Daddy says that the tail of Little Rexy is the longest part of it and can be thrown around!”

Nearly everyone was stunned when the small figure raised the Tyrannosaurus rex by its tail beneath their eyes, but Ye Jieye simply believed this scene was exactly like the ones he remembered.

The Nightmare Beast panicked when it felt its body leave the ground. ”W-Wait. What are you going to do?”

”Throw you around,” the honest Ye Jingxia answered.

As promised, he launched the Tyrannosaurus Rex upward, then downward, left, then right, sending echoes across the forest as something fell and struck.

AAHHH!

BAM. BAM. BAM. BAM.

”Argh!”

Bang!

”S-Someone... Save...”

Bam. Bang!

”Save me! Ahhh~”

Bang. Bam! Thud!

Mo Xuejing and the others who had come to investigate the situation outside the core region saw a small boy holding a Tyrannosaurus Rexʼs tail and slamming it against the ground like he was playing. The sound of laughter and the monsterʼs agonizing roars filled the entire forest, leaving nearly everyone speechless.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”What are you guys doing?”

While Ye Jingxia, seeing his father, stopped playing and dragged the Tyrannosaurus Rex by its tail, dragging it like a baby Hulk effortlessly dragging something a hundred times bigger than him, Ye Jieye flinched at the sound of the hidden coldness in his wifeʼs voice, leaving Lu Ming and the other three dumbfounded.

”Daddy, look! Look! Father found me a new toy!” Ye Jingxia said.

Then the tail he was holding vanished in an instant, and all heads turned to see the Tyrannosaurus Rex shrinking pitifully into a tiny black ball with teeth and tear-filled eyes, now a cute round thing with large tears flowing from its eyes.

Wuwuwu~ Wuaaaa~

Ye Jingxia throttles slowly toward the black ball and holds it gently in his arms. Mo Xuejing thought he was feeling sorry for the creature, and he felt that the thing was too pathetic, and tears also appeared in the corner of the boyʼs eyes as if crying were contagious.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Donʼt cry, baby. Letʼs ask Uncle Guang to heal it when we get home.”

System Yang mumbled, [I donʼt think thatʼs what he meant, Master.]

”Daddy, my toy is broken,” Ye Jingxia said. His crying face looks pitiful, but his words are even more unexpected.

System Yueʼs comment. [As expected of Xiao Jing. Of course, he wouldnʼt cry because the latter is crying. He is only worried that his toy is broken.]

System Yue is the only one who is not taken aback by his Young Lordʼs response. Ye Jingxia, like all the other offspring of his lords, has most of their negative traits. Mo Xuejing was momentarily stunned and picked up his weeping child.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Donʼt cry, my baby. Maybe itʼs not broken. Let Papa fix it for you.” He grabbed the crying nightmare beast from his sonʼs hands and threw it towards Ye Jieye.

”AʼYe, fix it,” Mo Xuejing said.

Ye Jieye gave a nod, then gave the nightmare beast a squeeze while using his light components to heal it.

”Youʼre healed. Turn back into a dinosaur. My son hasnʼt played enough!”

The wailing nightmare beast was so terrified by the manʼs aura that it stopped sobbing, and his remarks were so vicious that he gave off a warning that he would be slain right then and there.

System Yueʼs second comment. [A family of Devils.]

The Nightmare Beast regrets coming out of his cave.

(TT ^ TT) Sniff! Devils.

The little round thing once again morphed into a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and almost immediately, Ye Jingxia looked at him with an excited gaze. This time, as if afraid of breaking his toy, Ye Jingxia no longer thrashed the little one around. Instead, he carried it to the garden to show off to his younger sister.

Ye Jingxia said, ”Iʼm going to share with Xiaxia my new toy!”

Leica followed over to stop the young lord, as if she knew what Ye Jingxia was going to do next—the tiny princess, who has just fallen asleep, is still too small to play with something so deadly.

Leica said, ”Ah! Young Lord, stop! The little princess had just gone to sleep!”

Mo Xuejing stomped on his husbandʼs feet and said, ”Just what kind of toy did you give to Xiao Jing? Thatʼs the creature of that trial, right? What is that thing?”

”Baby, calm down. I can explain,” Ye Jieye said with a teasing smile.

Mo Xuejing pinched his husbandʼs waist, making him twitch in pain. ”Still not answering, hm~”

”Ow. Itʼs a nightmare beast. A unique creature of the land. It can be considered an evil creature as it feeds on humanʼs dreams and nightmares. Well, itʼs still too young to do any further harm to humans. Wife, my waist!” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”So itʼs not dangerous?”

”To us, itʼs not. It wonʼt harm the cubs as they are stronger than it is,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Thatʼs good then. How about the ones behind you?”

”They were pulled out before their dreams were completely controlled. There should be no harm, but... the dreams they experienced are real, so they might be a bit traumatized,” Ye Jieye said.

He felt a hand grab the corner of his garments abruptly, and turning around, he saw Su Jin staring at him with bloodshot eyes, as if he had lost his soul.

”Those dreams are real. Does that mean my brother is still alive?” Su Jin asked. He forgot all the manners he had before because of urgency.

Mo Yuhan, sensing his cousinʼs shift in expression, felt a chill run down his spine and yanked Su Jinʼs hands off Ye Jieyeʼs arm with such force that Mo Xuejingʼs gaze went cold. He stares at the blanket, holding his husbandʼs arms, as if debating whether or not to cut it off.

”Su Jin, calm down and let go.”

Lu Ming scowled at this sight and cast a gloomy glance at Mo Yuhan. Su Jin felt the anguish of his nails nearly breaking by force as Mo Yuhan did so.

Lu Ming said, ”What are you doing?”

”Idiot! Donʼt look at me. Look at our brothersʼ faces,” whispered his sworn brother.

All three of them turned around and met Ye Jieyeʼs dull eyes and Mo Xuejingʼs cold gaze. They collectively stepped back when they met, their eyes full of indifference.

Su Jin woke up in reality when he saw those cold and frightening eyes.

”I-Iʼm sorry...”
