The woman noticed Lu Ye’s gaze, but she didn’t mind it as a smile played on her lips.

Lu Ye looked past her and glanced into the distance where a man in a black robe stood over there. He wasn’t tall, but he had a burly figure.

The man was unmoving as his hands hung loose on each side. Their arrival didn’t seem to bother him as he took a brief look at them and lowered his head. He continued to stand there in silence.

Lu Ye was shocked to discover that the man was a Body-tempering Cultivator in the Divine Ocean Realm.

However, this man gave off a strange feeling as he appeared sluggish. There wasn’t any light behind his gaze, which made him look dull-witted. It was a wonder if it was a misconception.

When the woman was done stretching her back, she said to Lu Ye, “Let’s go.”

She then stepped forward, and Lu Ye could only follow her.

While the woman was leading Lu Ye to walk further into the Hidden Realm, somewhere in Bing Zhou, Tang Yi Feng suddenly stopped traversing across the sky.

He was holding a Tracking Disc, and the needle on it had been showing him Lu Ye’s direction. But just a moment ago, the needle started spinning rapidly without showing signs of stopping anytime soon.

Since the needle never stopped spinning, Tang Yi Feng couldn’t accurately locate Lu Ye.

He frowned and stared at the Tracking Disc for a moment before forming some speculation. He took a look at his Battlefield Imprint and realised he couldn’t contact Lu Ye through his Brand.

He instantly understood that Lu Ye had entered a Hidden Realm, which was why the Tracking Disc could no longer locate him and he was unable to contact him.

Fortunately, Lu Ye’s Brand was still around, which meant that he was safe.

Despite his worries, there was nothing much Tang Yi Feng could do about it.

Meanwhile, the members of Team D9 had been trying to contact Lu Ye as well, but they received no reply regardless of how many messages they sent. They finally confirmed they could no longer reach Lu Ye.

Yi Yi instantly broke into tears. Seeing that, Feng Yuechan and Lin Yinxiu quickly placated her.

Xiao Xinghe and Li Baxian exchanged glances. They could see the anxiety behind each other’s gazes, and they felt helpless.

They were right there when Lu Ye was captured, but faced with a Divine Ocean Realm Master, all of their resistance was futile. They could only watch as Lu Ye was taken away. It was only natural that they were vexed.

No one knew where Lu Ye was or whether he was in danger. Even if they wanted to save him, they didn’t know where to start.

“Let’s go back to Grand Sky City first and ask the Commander and Sect Master to help us with it.” Xiao Xinghe soon made a decision. They were powerless to do anything in this situation, so Qian Wudang and Tang Yi Feng were their only hope of saving Lu Ye.

…

“Who was that?” In the strange Hidden Realm, Lu Ye followed the woman while trying to glean some information from her.

He didn’t expect the woman to respond to him, but much to his surprise, she replied, “You can call him Dao Thirteen.”

“Dao Thirteen?” Lu Ye frowned as it was a strange name. It would be fine if it was merely a name. However, things would be interesting if Dao Thirteen was a codename.

Since there was a Dao Thirteen, would there be Dao One, Dao Two, and so on?

The woman had no intention of explaining anything to him, though. She continued to walk forward and said, “You’ll stay here from now on. No one will restrict your freedom, so you can do whatever you want. Do you get it?”

Lu Ye was puzzled. “Have you brought me here just to confine me to this place?”

[I don’t think there are any grudges between us.]

“Someone would like to see you.”

“The person behind you?” Lu Ye ventured a guess.

“Just stay here and wait,” the woman said impatiently and went to a wooden house near the lake. Then, she entered the building and slammed the door shut. Only her fragrance lingered in the air.

Lu Ye remained in the same spot and fell deep in thought. Then, he turned around and flew towards the entrance. The woman indeed had no intention of stopping him. He soon arrived at the entrance and saw Dao Thirteen, who looked as dull as a log. “Open the door. I need to go out!”

It required a special technique to open the door of a Hidden Realm. Lu Ye naturally had no idea how to open the door. However, since Dao Thirteen was responsible for guarding the place, he certainly knew how to do it.

The man looked dull-witted, so Lu Ye wanted to convince him to let him go. Although the chances were slim, he had to give it a shot.

Dao Thirteen lifted his head and looked at him dispassionately. He said in a hoarse voice, “Where’s your token?”

Naturally, Lu Ye didn’t have any valid token. He picked up his military token from his waist and showed it to Dao Thirteen. “Open the door now!”

“It’s not the right token.” Dao Thirteen’s hoarse voice sounded again before he hung his head low and stood there like a log.

Lu Ye felt his eyelids twitching. Dao Thirteen’s expression and the way he moved gave off a feeling that he wasn’t a living creature. Lu Ye even suspected that the man was a Golem, just like Yun Xuechu’s Soul Clone.

However, even Yun Xuechu’s Soul Clone, whose name was Tiea, was more agile than Dao Thirteen, who wasn’t only sluggish but also stiff.

Without a valid token, Lu Ye couldn’t make Dao Thirteen open the door for him.

It wasn’t a completely futile attempt, though. At the very least, he could confirm that Dao Thirteen was able to open the door.

Since this way didn’t work, Lu Ye turned to look at the woman’s wooden house before exploring this Hidden Realm.

Around an hour later, he had a better understanding of the environment.

This was a small Hidden Realm, just like the Sword and Tool Sect that Lu Ye had visited before. However, it was two times larger than the Sword and Tool Sect.

There wasn’t a Sun or a Moon as the sky was muddy. What was strange was that there was light, so the sky looked overcast.

It was nothingness beyond the boundary of the Hidden Realm. Just by looking at it, one could feel it was dangerous outside the boundary. Naturally, Lu Ye wouldn’t dare to venture into it. Who knew what would happen if he did that?

The environment was simple as there was only a lake which was surrounded by a not-so-dense forest. There were no animals in sight.

The woman never showed up again after she entered the wooden house by the lake. Perhaps she was tired from all the travelling, so she needed some rest.

After giving it some thought, Lu Ye went to the forest and felled some trees so that he could make a wooden house near the lake.

Since he couldn’t leave this place for now, he could only take things as they came.

He was curious about the person behind the woman. Why did they want to bring him to this place? It was a wonder how long he had to stay there, so he needed a residence.

He was skillful at building a wooden or bamboo house as he had done it many times. In just two hours, a two-storey wooden house took shape. It was across from the woman’s wooden house as the two buildings were divided by the river.

Although the woman had never shown any hostility, he had to be cautious. Since he was weaker than the woman, he had to keep his guard up.

He then set up some Wards around his wooden house for alarm and isolation. As for defence, it was unnecessary.

Since the woman was powerful, a Defensive Ward wouldn’t be useful if she intended to harm him. As such, he decided not to waste his energy.

In the next few days, Lu Ye would spend some time wandering around the Hidden Realm. Whenever he did that, he could feel a streak of Divine Ego paying close attention to him. It was apparent that the woman was monitoring him.

It didn’t bother Lu Ye, though. It was only a small Hidden Realm, and the woman was powerful. Unless he hid inside his house, the woman could keep an eye on him regardless of what he did. It was unavoidable.

Only his wooden house which was surrounded by the Wards could stop the woman from monitoring him with her Divine Ego.

Other than searching around the Hidden Realm, Lu Ye spent the rest of his time activating the Tree of Glyphs’ power and absorbing the power of Fire Spirit Stones.

He felt a great sense of urgency after he was captured by a Divine Ocean Realm Master this time. As his cultivation increased, he would have more chances of coming across Divine Ocean Realm Masters. It was fine if those Divine Ocean Realm Masters were his friends. However, if it was an enemy like Liu Yuemei or the mysterious woman, he couldn’t fend them off given his current cultivation.

He already had that sense of urgency when he was hunted down by Liu Yuemei previously, but the sense faded since he had Tang Yi Feng’s protection. It wasn’t until now that he realised there were times Tang Yi Feng couldn’t protect him. It was unrealistic to pin his hopes on Qian Wudang either.

If he couldn’t defeat an enemy, he had to be able to flee to stand a chance to survive.

He couldn’t rely on the Wings Glyph alone. Considering that he was a Fifth-Order Real Lake Realm Master, even if he blessed himself with both Wings and Windwalk, he still couldn’t fly faster than a Divine Ocean Realm Master. He had verified that when he was hunted down by Liu Yuemei.

Therefore, Lu Ye urgently needed a new skill to get rid of Divine Ocean Realm Masters.

He already had a plan, though. If he wanted to achieve that, he had to pin his hopes on the Tree of Glyphs. As long as a certain Glyph could be activated on the Tree of Glyphs, he could use the skill to run away even if he came across enemies who were too powerful.

He had been longing for the Glyph for quite a while. He had some amazing ideas as to how to use it, but unfortunately, it hadn’t been activated yet.

Anyway, he was certain that the Glyph was on the tree. It was just that it hadn’t been revealed yet.

As such, he started absorbing the power of Fire Spirit Stones to try his luck.

He never activated any new Glyphs during this period because he had acquired seven Glyphs at once previously, which were more than enough for him to digest for a long time. It wasn’t until recently that he figured out the incredible uses of Twin Lotus Flowers.

He knew that he couldn’t be too greedy, so he took a break from getting more Glyphs from the tree. That way, he would have more time to fully comprehend the ones he already possessed.

Now that he had also figured out what the Twin Lotus Flowers Glyph was for, it was time to activate new Glyphs.

He had a lot of Fire Spirit Stones in the first place, and he acquired even more in the past few months by making Explosive Fire Spirit Stones for the Ministry of Laws. It wouldn’t be hard for him to acquire several new Glyphs. As for whether he could get the Glyph he wanted, it depended on his luck.

One day, when Lu Ye was done looking around the Hidden Realm and passed by the woman’s house, she opened the window and showed her alluring face. With a smile, she asked, “Why can’t you stay still in your house? What are you looking for?”
