Qian Wudang was out of sight as he was looking for Lin Yinxiu. On the other hand, Tang Yi Feng was running after Liu Yuemei. Lu Ye remained in the same spot and fell deep in thought.

Despite being more powerful, Liu Yuemei had tried to destroy him. Why did Tang Yi Feng say she was a crook from Thousand Demon Ridge?

After giving it some thought, Lu Ye figured out what was going on. There was no doubt Tang Yi Feng was old and shrewd. It seemed that Liu Yuemei was doomed this time.

Lu Ye felt warmth in his heart, knowing that Tang Yi Feng would always stand up for him. Since he was quite conspicuous with a golden light around him, he descended and waited patiently.

Tens of kilometres away, Liu Yuemei was running for her life, but an aura had locked onto her. The aura was so ferocious that even a Divine Ocean Realm Master like her was terrified.

Despite being in the same Realm and that she was in the Seventh-Order Divine Ocean Realm, Liu Yuemei knew that there was a huge gap in power between Tang Yi Feng and her.

Tang Yi Feng was already one of the most powerful cultivators in Jiu Zhou decades ago. Following decades of accumulation, his heritage must be splendid.

Therefore, when Liu Yuemei detected the auras of Qian Wudang and Tang Yi Feng, she had no choice but to abandon Lu Ye and run for her life.

To her chagrin, the other party was relentlessly running after her.

The wheel of fortune had turned so soon. Just a while ago, Lu Ye had to run away from her like a rat fleeing from a cat, but it was her turn now. How ironic was that?

The gap between them was shortening fast. Despite a distance of tens of kilometres, Liu Yuemei could feel how furious Tang Yi Feng was from behind.

“B*stard, where do you think you’re going?” Tang Yi Feng’s growl was as loud as thunder. Struck by the powerful Soul Attack, Liu Yuemei felt dizzy and staggered slightly.

After she was held up for a moment, the distance between them shortened by ten kilometres.

Just then, she felt violent fluctuations of Spiritual Power coming from behind. She turned around and saw Tang Yi Feng extending his hand. Looking in her direction, he suddenly clenched his fist.

As that happened, the space around her seemed to have caved in. She instantly felt that the World Spiritual Qi around her had turned sluggish as it became an invisible obstacle for her. She felt as if she had fallen into the mud.

She yelled and fully activated her power to resist the invisible pressure. However, as Tang Yi Feng exerted more force on his hand, she grunted while her aura descended into chaos.

Suddenly, she snuck out of the space where she had been confined, but before she could take a breather, Tang Yi Feng formed a whip made from Spiritual Power and pulled it out from the Void. He targeted Liu Yuemei and lashed out at her.

Initially, the whip was only a metre long, but it soon absorbed the World Spiritual Qi around it and extended. In the blink of an eye, it became tens of kilometres long as it streamed towards Liu Yuemei like a Heavenly river.

A flabbergasted Liu Yuemei quickly made a seal with both hands and madly activated her Spiritual Power. The next instant, a flower bud appeared in the spot where she had stood.

She was nowhere in sight as she was covered in the flower bud made from Spiritual Power. It was a wonder what kind of a defensive technique it was. Since it had taken a Divine Ocean Realm Master like her some effort to build it, it must be quite abstruse.

The whip soon struck the flower bud.

The flower bud instantly withered as Liu Yuemei fell from it. Her face mask was full of cracks, and behind it, blood was streaming out from the corner of her mouth.

When she turned around, Tang Yi Feng was already nowhere in sight, but she felt a sense of danger descending from above.

She quickly lifted her head, only to see Tang Yi Feng’s vitality burning as his Spiritual Power surged. He didn’t look as weak as an average old person. His aura was as bright as the Sun.

As he swooped down, he pushed out his fist towards Liu Yuemei. His gaze, which was as dark as the night sky, was full of fury and murderous intent.

[He’s going to kill me!] Liu Yuemei was flabbergasted upon that realisation.

Initially, when Tang Yi Feng was running after her, even though she was flustered, she wasn’t afraid. Regardless, she was from the Sky Origin Clan, which was on the Grand Sky Coalition’s side. She reckoned that Tang Yi Feng would teach her a lesson, but there was no way he would kill her.

Since she had made a move first, she only had herself to blame if Tang Yi Feng wanted to teach her a lesson. She wasn’t a match for him, after all.

Moreover, she had concealed her face using a face mask. Although such a disguise was pointless between them, they couldn’t be considered to have fallen out as long as the face mask was around.

Those from the Sky Origin Clan were fully aware of what Tang Yi Feng’s temperament was like. He would always look at the big picture and wouldn’t easily fall out with anyone.

However, Tang Yi Feng didn’t seem to have the intention of maintaining peace between both parties this time. He didn’t care what consequences his action would bring about, nor was he concerned about whether the Sky Origin Clan would retaliate against him. His ferocious murderous intent showed that he was determined to kill Liu Yuemei right there and then.

As many thoughts turned over in Liu Yuemei’s mind, she protected herself using her Spiritual Power and activated the Defensive Ward within her Armour.

When the fist struck her, her Spiritual Power Shield was shattered in an instant. Even the Defensive Ward from her Armour only lasted for three breaths of time. Tang Yi Feng had been putting up with the injustice for decades. At this moment, he was determined to vent all his wrath. He had to let everyone know that there was a price to pay for harming the disciples of the Crimson Blood Sect. As long as he was still around, he would stand up for his Sect’s disciples.

His fist struck Liu Yuemei’s chest with a crack. She fell from the sky and sprayed out a mouthful of blood which contained the broken pieces of her organs.

With a boom, she crashed into the ground, causing the dust to rise and forming a pit. Her face mask was about to fall apart, revealing half of her battered face.

Before she could get to her feet, a hand reached her and covered her face, stopping the face mask from coming apart.

She felt a chill running down her spine as Tang Yi Feng spoke to her impassively. “Keep your face mask on. Things will become complicated if it breaks apart.”

He lifted his other fist as his Spiritual Power swirled around it. It seemed that he was ready to end the woman’s life.

But before he could cast the fatal attack, a clap of thunder was suddenly heard. The next second, a flash of lighting reached for Tang Yi Feng’s chest.

Tang Yi Feng was responsive. As he moved backwards, layers of Spiritual Power Shields continuously formed in front of him, but they were soon shattered.

The lightning gradually dimmed. It wasn’t until he moved backwards for three kilometres that the power of the lightning wore off.

When he lifted his head, he saw a flash of lightning running away at full speed. Within the lightning was a battered Liu Yuemei who was holding a short spear.

“Destructive Lightning Spear!” Tang Yi Feng remained in the same spot instead of running after her.

That was because he could no longer catch up to her. Given Liu Yuemei’s power, she could never get rid of Tang Yi Feng. He had countless ways to end her life. However, Liu Yuemei was fleeing with the help of Destructive Lightning Spear. She could now fly so quickly that even Tang Yi Feng wasn’t a match.

Naturally, he was aware of the Destructive Lightning Spear, which was the most important treasure of the Sky Origin Clan. He just didn’t expect that the item was with Liu Yuemei.

It could only be said that she was lucky this time. Otherwise, she would’ve lost her life.

Tang Yi Feng felt it was such a shame that he couldn’t achieve his goal. As he looked in the direction Liu Yuemei had fled, he closed his eyes and suppressed his murderous intent. When he opened his eyes again, he looked like the righteous and unfettered old man he usually was.

He adjusted his clothes and shot into the sky, returning to where he had come from.

Lu Ye was still waiting for them in the same spot. Soon enough, Qian Wudang returned with Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu. It was easy for a Divine Ocean Realm Master like him to look for anyone. Moreover, he could contact Lin Yinxiu through his Battlefield Imprint.

When he saw that Lu Ye was alone, he suddenly had a premonition. “Where’s Elder Tang?”

Lu Ye reported honestly, “The Sect Master is running after the crook from Thousand Demon Ridge.”

Qian Wudang felt his eyelids twitching. “Who told you it was a crook from Thousand Demon Ridge?”

“The Sect Master did,” Lu Ye replied matter-of-factly. “She tried to kill a Real Lake Realm Master like me despite being a Divine Ocean Realm Master. If she’s not from Thousand Demon Ridge, could she come from the Grand Sky Coalition, then? What do you say, Lin Yinxiu?”

Lin Yinxiu nodded repeatedly. “You have a point, Team Leader.”

Qian Wudang felt heartbroken when he saw how obedient Lin Yinxiu was. He suppressed his frustrations and ordered, “All of you, stay here.”

With that, he shot into the sky. He had realised the severity of the matter. It was apparent that Tang Yi Feng intended to kill Liu Yuemei. Moreover, the woman was wearing a face mask, so no one could refute Tang Yi Feng if he claimed that the woman was from Thousand Demon Ridge.

However, things would become complicated if Liu Yuemei was killed. It might even affect Tang Yi Feng’s position in the Elder Council.

Regardless of the reason, it wouldn’t bring Tang Yi Feng any benefits if people found out that he had killed another Divine Ocean Realm Master.

Qian Wudang hoped that Liu Yuemei could hold on for a while longer so that he could stop the disaster from happening.

But soon enough, he saw Tang Yi Feng returning at a leisurely pace. He anxiously went over and said, “Elder Tang.”

Tang Yi Feng let out a sigh in response.

“Is she… dead or alive?”

“She ran away,” Tang Yi Feng replied.

Qian Wudang breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s great. That’s great.”

As long as Liu Yuemei wasn’t dead, it wasn’t a big deal. It seemed that he was overly worried. Considering Tang Yi Feng’s power, there was no way the woman could survive if he was determined to end her life. Since she had run away, it showed that Tang Yi Feng had held back his power.

Certainly, Tang Yi Feng could tell what was on Qian Wudang’s mind, but he didn’t have the intention of explaining anything. He only said, “Let’s go.”

He didn’t manage to achieve his goal because Liu Yuemei had the Destructive Lightning Spear with her. Without the treasure, she would’ve lost her life. It could only be said that she was pretty lucky.

She had borrowed the treasure from her Sect to launch an attack against a Pass. Surging Waves Lake Pass was at war as of late, so she didn’t have time to return the item and had kept it with her. Much to her surprise, the item saved her life at the most critical moment.

She was supposed to return the treasure to her Sect several days later. If she were to be hunted down by Tang Yi Feng by then, the outcome would be different.

From afar, Lin Yinxiu and Xiao Xinghe could see that Lu Ye was radiating a bright golden glow while they approached him.

A curious Lin Yinxiu kept poking at the layer of golden light. She even asked questions that made Lu Ye feel so heartbroken that he found it hard to breathe.

After all, the layer of golden light was worth 200,000 battle points!
