During recuperation, Lu Ye had nothing else to do apart from looking into the Soaring Dragon Boundary’s Source.

Other cultivators spent most of their lives cultivating their powers. Only through boring accumulation like this could they become powerful enough and gain the glory that others were envious of.

It had only been a short time since Lu Ye ascended from the Third-Order to the Fifth-Order Real Lake Realm, so he had no intention of increasing his cultivation for the time being. Increasing his cultivation too rapidly wasn’t a good thing as his foundation might become unstable.

Only by spending more time adapting to his current Minor Realm could he strengthen his foundation.

After another time of looking into the Soaring Dragon Boundary’s Source, he opened his eyes and comprehended the insight he had gained.

A moment later, he turned his head and saw Amber snoring. The tiger seemed to have consumed a Mutant Core. There was a golden swirl in front of Yi Yi. Pure World Spiritual Qi exuded from the swirl and was absorbed by her.

Ever since Lu Ye learned to steal from the Heavens, Yi Yi had been feeling a sense of urgency. That was because the speed of Lu Ye increasing his power had quickened again, and it was outrageously fast.

Initially, she could keep pace with Lu Ye by cultivating her power alongside Amber. However, ever since Lu Ye ascended to the Real Lake Realm, the difference between them had widened.

Therefore, whenever she had some time, she would cultivate her power. After all, she could earn battle points for herself.

She had her own Battlefield Imprint, so it was only natural that she had her Contribution points and battle points as well. Also, she could cultivate her power just like other cultivators.

Seeing how serious Yi Yi was, Lu Ye decided not to disturb her. He quietly rose to his feet and left the room.

The courtyard was serene with no one else in sight. Xiao Xinghe and Lin Yinxiu seemed to be cultivating their powers as their doors were tightly closed.

Lu Ye shot into the sky, ready to visit Tang Yi Feng.

However, upon his arrival, he realised Tang Yi Feng wasn’t around. After all, Tang Yi Feng had risen to prominence again as he was a member of the Elder Council. It was only natural that he didn’t have as much free time as before.

Standing in the courtyard, Lu Ye suddenly felt lost.

[Why do I have nothing else to do all of a sudden? I have to do something! I am a young man, so how can I waste my time away?]

After giving it some thought, Lu Ye had an idea in mind.

He returned to his residence in a hurry and entered an empty room. Then, he sat down cross-legged and looked at the Tree of Glyphs in his mind.

Presently, the Tree of Glyphs was pretty large as a lot of leaves were burning. The area that carried the Fire Phoenix Glyph was especially gorgeous. At first glance, it looked as if a Fire Phoenix was resting on a tree branch.

So far, around 40 Glyphs had been activated on the Tree of Glyphs. Every Glyph was immensely useful to Lu Ye. They could be used for cultivation, battles, or assistance.

It could be said that his achievements had everything to do with the Tree of Glyphs.

He remembered all the Glyphs and knew all their uses. There were two exceptions, though. Besides Two Hearts Beating as One, which he had never activated because there was no one he could use it on, he was also puzzled about the uses of another Glyph.

In his mind, he focused on the spot where the Glyph was located on the Tree of Glyphs. It was none other than the Twin Lotus Flowers!

He tried to use the Glyph not long after it was activated, but he didn’t see any effect.

Just then, an idea sprang into his mind, so he built the Twin Lotus Flowers on his palm. However, other than looking like a lotus flower, it didn’t look special.

[Perhaps this Glyph cannot be used on myself. Just like Phoenix Wings, the Glyph has to be activated by two people.]

At the thought of this, he returned to his room and took the snoring Amber with him.

Amber was still sound asleep. It wasn’t that the tiger wasn’t vigilant enough. It was just that Amber could still detect Lu Ye’s aura while asleep, so it never awakened.

The tiger would’ve been alerted if a stranger had come near it.

With Amber in the room now, Lu Ye pressed his hand against the tiger’s forehead and activated his Spiritual Power to build the Twin Lotus Flowers on it.

Soon enough, an illusory lotus appeared on Amber’s forehead, which radiated a Spiritual Light.

It was still useless, though. Amber didn’t react in any way, and Lu Ye didn’t feel a thing.

It seemed that his speculation was wrong. The Glyph couldn’t be used on someone else either.

Since it was useless to bless himself or someone else with the Glyph, where else could he use it? It was impractical to use it to build a Ward or bless the Inviolable Saber with it.

Lu Ye fell deep in thought with a frown.

Soon enough, a bold idea formed in his mind.

As a thought flashed across his mind, he activated his Spiritual Power and formed dense elements of Yin and Yang, which soon covered his entire figure.

He moved away the next instant, and an identical figure was right beside him. It was as if he had just taken off some tight-fitting clothes. Just like his main body, the other figure was seated cross-legged as well.

It was the Spectral Image! Lu Ye had used the Glyph when he was hunted down by Liu Yuemei, and it was immensely useful as the woman was fooled into thinking that it was an abstruse Soul Clone Technique.

In fact, it was just an illusory figure built with his Spiritual Power. With the Spiritual Power’s blessing, the figure could remain intact for quite a while. Moreover, since it radiated a Spiritual Light, it was hard for others to tell the figure was illusory. It could be used to deceive the enemies so that Lu Ye would have more time to run for his life.

Naturally, it could be used in a battle as well. During an intense fight, the sudden appearance of a Spectral Image would catch the opponent off guard.

That said, Lu Ye had never come across an opponent that he would be tangled up in a fight with. His opponents were either not a match for him or significantly more powerful than he was. That was why there wasn’t a need for him to activate the Spectral Image.

The Twin Lotus Flowers couldn’t be used on himself or someone else, and neither could it be used to build a Ward or in a battle. As such, he wondered if it could be used on a Spectral Image.

The idea suddenly formed in his mind because of the name Twin Lotus Flowers.

The names of Glyphs were not meaningless. For example, Sharp Edge could make the Inviolable Saber sharper once activated. Another example would be Protection, which could be used to defend the user.

The Twin Lotus Flowers were born from the same root and connected by the same stem. The main body and the Spectral Image were like Twin Lotus Flowers from the same stem.

Lu Ye extended his hand towards the illusory figure. Although he hadn’t activated the Glyph yet, he had a strong feeling that he was in the right direction.

As his hand pressed against the Spectral Image, he activated his Spiritual Power and built the Twin Lotus Flowers Glyph.

The moment the Glyph was formed, Lu Ye suddenly had a wondrous feeling.

Since the Spectral Image was built from his Spiritual Power, he could control it to do something simple. It was just like a telekinetic weapon, but other than that, there was nothing special about it.

However, at this moment, he felt as if his senses had extended towards the Spectral Image. It was a marvellous feeling.

Before he could ponder what was going on, a turn of events suddenly took place.

In his Source Spiritual Point, the Tree of Glyphs started shaking uncontrollably. Following that, an invisible root extended towards the Twin Lotus Flowers Glyph and penetrated the Spectral Image.

Lu Ye was caught off guard by what was going on. He quickly pulled himself together and observed how things developed.

The next instant, he donned a dark expression because he could feel the Tree of Glyphs madly absorbing his vitality and Spiritual Power before directing them into the Spectral Image.

He quickly focused on controlling the Tree of Glyphs to rectify the anomaly.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly. Under his control, the Tree of Glyphs stopped absorbing his power.

Nevertheless, during that brief moment, a lot of vitality and Spiritual Power had entered the Spectral Image. Upon closer look, Lu Ye was astounded.

That was because the illusory figure, which was constructed from his Spiritual Power, looked more true to life now. Moreover, he could feel that the connection between the Spectral Image and himself had become stronger. It was as though the Spectral Image was indeed an extension of himself.

He hurriedly examined himself and discovered that he had only lost some vitality and Spiritual Power. His foundation wasn’t affected.

Relieved, he recalled the experience and figured out the secrets behind the Twin Lotus Flowers.

He couldn’t help feeling exultant. If things were just like what he thought, the Twin Lotus Flowers would be the most abstruse Glyph he had ever come into contact with.

As a thought flashed through his mind, the Tree of Glyphs started absorbing his power again and directing it into the Spectral Image. With Lu Ye on top of everything this time, the process of absorbing his power and infusing it into the Spectral Image had become calmer.

The Spectral Image started solidifying as though it truly had blood and flesh. A moment later, the Spectral Image was fully solid.

The root that had penetrated the Spectral Image broke apart and wandered around inside it, forming an illusory lotus flower.

Amber woke up just then. Its eyes widened in disbelief as it looked at Lu Ye and the Spectral Image. The tiger couldn’t understand why it had one more Master after it awakened.

Both Lu Ye and the Spectral Image turned to look at the tiger.

Amber’s fur instantly stood on end as it meowed and dashed out of the room. The tiger was soon out of sight.

“What a scaredy cat!” Lu Ye snorted and continued studying the Spectral Image.

Now, the Spectral Image was totally different from what he had initially built. Previously, the Spectral Image could only fool the enemies for a while, and it would fall apart when it was touched. However, the Spectral Image now looked just like a Human with flesh and blood. It had all the characteristics of Lu Ye, including the mole on his arm.

It was no longer a Spectral Image; it was a real Soul Clone!

Since there was a Tree of Glyphs’ root within the Soul Clone, it was closely connected to the main body. Lu Ye could share the senses of the Soul Clone and control it to do anything.

His vision became weird as he started seeing two of everything. Feeling dizzy, he quickly closed his eyes.

Fortunately, he had a strong Divine Soul and was mentally tough, so it only took him a while to get used to a vision like this. Also, he discovered that if he focused on either the main body or the Soul Clone, the vision of the other one would weaken.

It was a good thing.
