Lu Ye stopped drinking and listened attentively.

If he wasn’t mistaken, it was the owner of Hundred Fragrance Restaurant, Shen Manzi, who had exclaimed earlier.

He wondered who the people in the adjacent courtyard were that they even dared to be so reckless in this place.

Since they were served in a courtyard, they must be long-time customers of Hundred Fragrance Restaurant. Whenever such customers came, Shen Manzi would propose a toast to them. That was what a restaurant owner would typically do.

Shen Manzi must’ve gone to propose a toast to them, but it was a wonder what she had done that caused the other party to make things difficult for her.

“Team Leader!” Xiao Ruyun turned to look at Geng Wuwang while standing from a distance.

Geng Wuwang remained seated and shook his head. “Stay out of it for now.”

There were all sorts of cultivators who patronised Hundred Fragrance Restaurant. Shen Manzi was beautiful and charming. Although such an incident was rare, it had happened before. She could easily resolve the problem.

She was a resourceful person, which was why she was able to run such a restaurant in Grand Sky City.

Just then, Shen Manzi’s voice was heard coming from the adjacent courtyard. “Since you’re our valued customers, I certainly have to drink with you. I’ll chug this down as a show of respect.”

Soon enough, they were heard cheering. Shen Manzi must’ve finished a cup of wine.

“Miss Shen, I’ve heard that you’re a wonderful drinker, and you certainly live up to your fame. Come on. I’ll drink with you,” another person said.

Those people were heard urging her to drink again.

Although Shen Manzi had politely turned them down, she couldn’t resist their persuasion. She could only chug down one more cup.

“It’s my turn!” another person demanded.

Shen Manzi said in a soft voice, “I can’t drink anymore. Otherwise, I’ll be drunk.”

“Do you have no regard for me, Miss Shen? You drank with my friends. But when it’s my turn, you refuse to drink with me. Do you look down on me?”

“Stop pulling my leg, dear valued customer. I would never dare to.”

“In that case, drink it all!”

“Please let go of me!”

While Shen Manzi was in a tight spot, Shangguan Qiu in the gazebo of a different courtyard realised something was off. He looked at Geng Wuwang and said, “Team Leader, it seems that we’re their targets.”

That was the reason the other party had crossed the line.

Those who were served in a courtyard must be long-time customers. In that case, they had to show Shen Manzi some respect, and they must be aware of the woman’s relationship with Geng Wuwang.

Although Geng Wuwang wasn’t a Divine Ocean Realm Master, he could command some respect in Grand Sky City as the leader of Team A3 from the Law Enforcement Hall. Usually, no one would dare to make a scene in the restaurant.

It was unless the other party had targeted Team A3. Since it wasn’t appropriate for them to fall out with Team A3, they decided to provoke Geng Wuwang by harassing Shen Manzi.

“They’re from Team A5 and Team D7!” Kang Yuanqiao could recognise their voices, so it confirmed Shangguan Qiu’s speculation.

Although all of them were from the Law Enforcement Hall, it wasn’t all harmonious between the teams. Due to personal reasons or the Sects behind them, there were always some grudges and conflicts. Certainly, competition was an important reason as well.

Team A3 wasn’t on good terms with Team A5 and Team D7.

Their relationship with Team A5 was especially terrible. There was once when both parties joined forces to carry out a task. During the process, the members of Team A5 changed the plan without informing the other party. This indirectly caused a member of Team A3 to lose his life.

That was the reason Team A3 only had five members now.

Although most of the battle points meant for Team A5 were deducted as a punishment, the member of Team A3 who had lost his life couldn’t be resurrected. This made the members of Team A3 resentful of Team A5.

Certainly, the members of Team A5 hated Team A3 as well. From their perspective, that person had lost his life because he wasn’t careful enough. That was the reason he was the only one getting killed when the others were alive and kicking. They had exerted themselves to carry out the task, but they only got little battle points in the end.

“I’ll have a look.” Geng Wuwang chugged down the wine and rose to his feet.

The members of Team A3 got up as well.

“Don’t make a move!” Geng Wuwang ordered and leapt into the air before landing in the adjacent courtyard.

Following that, the people over there were heard exclaiming, “Geng Wuwang!”

Geng Wuwang said, “If you want to drink, I’ll do that with you. As men, you’re not supposed to bully a woman!”

“We’re all customers, and we want her to drink with us because we respect her. How can you say we’re bullying her? What makes you have a right to interfere in this matter?”

Geng Wuwang demanded grimly, “Are you going to drink or not? Get lost if you’re not!”

“That’s pretty arrogant of you, Brother Wuwang. The owner hasn’t said anything, but you’re already chasing us away. Is this how she runs a restaurant?”

“I’ve heard that Brother Wuwang takes good care of Miss Shen. That indeed seems to be the case.”

“Miss Shen is charming. Brother Wuwang must be pleased with her in bed. That’s why he looks after her.”

“Well, I’ve heard that quite a few people look after Miss Shen.” Someone snickered.

“I can take care of Miss Shen as well if she wants…”

Suddenly, a wine jar was heard breaking apart. The next instant, someone growled, “How dare you hit me, Geng Wuwang!”

“Strike him!”

In an instant, the adjacent courtyard descended into a mess.

Xiao Ruyun and the others, who had been paying attention to what was happening, immediately rose to their feet and flew over the wall.

Lu Ye, Xiao Xinghe, and Lin Yinxiu quickly followed them.

They could see that Xiao Ruyun and the others were furious because Geng Wuwang was besieged by over ten people.

Although he was a Body-tempering Cultivator with a robust body, he couldn’t possibly deal with so many people on his own. That was why he looked battered.

“Beat them up!” Xiao Ruyun bellowed. As ferocious as tigers, the members of Team A3 got into a scuffle with them.

Lu Ye didn’t expect the gathering to turn into such a mess. However, things had come to a point where he couldn’t watch the fight from the sidelines. Therefore, he charged forward as well.

“Don’t use your Spiritual Power!” Geng Wuwang ordered. He was concerned that Lu Ye didn’t know the rules and would use his Spiritual Power. He didn’t have to worry about the others.

The rules in Grand Sky City were strict. A scuffle usually wouldn’t happen, but there were always exceptions. Cultivators were strong and aggressive, so some conflicts between them were inevitable.

Things would be fine if they never used Spiritual Powers. Such a fight wouldn’t cause anyone to lose their life. However, once Spiritual Powers were used, things would become thorny. If anyone died, all of them would be in trouble.

Therefore, in Grand Sky City, even if two parties were in a conflict, they wouldn’t use Spiritual Powers or Spirit Artifacts. They would only fight physically.

In such a situation, Body-tempering Cultivators were at an advantage because of their strong bodies.

The members of Team A3 were tipsy from consuming some wine, so they could be impetuous in such a condition. Moreover, the other party had deliberately provoked them. It was only natural that a fight happened.

Geng Wuwang was in a terrible state because he was beaten by over ten people from two teams before his teammates’ arrival. They hurried over to help him out.

As soon as Lu Ye landed on the ground and was ready to charge forward, a sturdy young man got in his way and directly extended a hand towards him.

The young man was well-prepared, whereas Lu Ye was unsuspecting. Lu Ye instantly felt a sharp pain as the young man grabbed his shoulder with a hand. While pressing his hand down on Lu Ye, the young man extended his leg towards Lu Ye’s chest.

Although he didn’t use his Spiritual Power, the attack was forceful, considering that he was a Body-tempering Cultivator.

Anyone would be badly injured if he was struck by the attack.

However, the young man had underestimated Lu Ye’s responsiveness. Faced with the attack, Lu Ye also lifted his leg and pushed it out.

With a thud, both of them shook uncontrollably. Lu Ye only staggered for a bit, whereas the young man was forced to step backwards for a few seconds before stabilising himself. One of his legs had turned numb.

Shocked and doubtful, he didn’t expect that Lu Ye, who was shorter than him, had a greater physical strength than him.

As soon as the young man stabilised himself, he heard a tiger growl. He could see Amber, the size of a cat, expanding rapidly and turning into an ominous beast in the blink of an eye. The tiger dashed towards him and opened its mouth.

Flabbergasted, the young man quickly leapt away to dodge the tiger’s attack.

In such a fight, a ferocious Master-class Spirit Beast was intimidating.

Amber skirted past him and ran its claws against his skin, taking away a bit of the young man’s flesh.

He seemed oblivious to it because when he was distracted, Lu Ye charged towards him and pushed out his fist.

Lu Ye had fully activated his power, so his fist seemed to be surrounded by Qi.

The young man’s pupils dilated as he had a bad feeling. However, he couldn’t dodge the attack at that point, so he could only extend his fist as well.

As their fists came into contact, the young man felt his face twitching. He felt as if he was dealing with a mountain instead of a fist.

He was forced to step backwards again. A relentless Lu Ye inched closer to him while mercilessly striking him with his fists and legs.

Amber turned around to help out, but when the tiger saw that Lu Ye had gained the upper hand, it decided to join the scuffle instead.

Geng Wuwang had fewer people on his side. They were undoubtedly at a disadvantage in such a fight. Things instantly became better when Amber joined them.

Struck by Lu Ye’s attacks in quick succession, the young man gasped in pain. Unable to take it anymore, he activated his vitality and Spiritual Power to protect himself when Lu Ye struck again.

Since the young man never activated his Spiritual Power earlier, Lu Ye had no idea how powerful the other party truly was. Now, the young man’s cultivation was exposed. His fluctuations of Spiritual Power showed that he was a Ninth-Order Real Lake Realm Master.

When Lu Ye realised the other party’s cultivation, he furrowed his brows because something felt off.

Since the young man was so powerful, why would he get in his way in the first place? As Lu Ye recalled their first exchange of moves, he couldn’t help but think that the young man had specifically targeted him.

He didn’t have time to think deeply about it. Since the other party had activated Spiritual Power, he naturally would do the same. His fist turned into a palm. With the blessing of Sharp Edge, he attacked the opponent with the side of his palm.

The young man’s protective barrier formed by vitality and Spiritual Power was shattered in an instant. Struck by the attack, he groaned in pain.
